Indie Games to look out for on the PS4

At the PlayStation event at PAX Prime they showed 4 indie games, that if your planning to buy the PS4, you should consider getting! Now, I have not yet had the pleasure of playing an Indie game, but I will be buying at least one of the four mentioned.

Contrast

Contrast is a 2D/3D puzzle platformer where the player can shift between the 2D shadow world to the 3D fantasy world. You play Dawn, the imaginary friend of a little girl named Didi. Didi is a sweet little girl who has a dead-beat father and show-girl mother. Her life is not the best so it is your job, as Dawn, to help her when ever she needs it. As you play as Dawn, you can switch at will between being a 3D character roaming the game or a 2D shadow interacting with other shadow objects/people. Contrast will be release before the turn of 2014 on the PS4, PS3, PC, and Xbox 360.

OctoDad

OctoDad is a charming third person adventure game about an octopus father. The main character and only character to play is OctoDad, who is an octopus but everyone else see's you as a human male. You have a wife, a son and a daughter and you must tackle the problems of everyday life. Keep in mind the fact that you're an octopus is a secret and you must keep it, but that is easier said than done when you have eight boneless tentacles! You will control OctoDad like a marionette, dragging his limbs around while his body flops all over the place. OctoDad can slip into small spaces, grab things with his suckers and knock things over with great strength. OctoDad is available for the PS4 and Steam.

Hohokum

Hohokum is a whimsical and colorful universe were you will travel around as a kite-like being. You will travel around different words were you will have different goals, activities and mysteries to uncover. The main purpose of Hohokum though, is to play around! It is a game designed to be an easy going place to get lost in and fool around. It has yet to be released but will come out on the PS4, PS3, and PS Vita.

1,001 Spikes

Aban Hawkins and the 1,001 Spikes is a remake of the old game and will feature new graphics, sounds, art, and features. It is a harsh game where you must complete the levels with 1,001 lives, but be warned: if you lose all your lives it's over, you will have to start the game from the beginning. This game now has a multiplayer mode where you can play with up to four friends. Lets see how many times you and your friends get killed by the new tricks and traps! Aban Hawkins and the 1,001 Spikes will be available on the PS4, PS3, and PS Vita.

These four indie games seem fantastic, and I can't wait until the PS4 comes out to buy them!
