Jurassic World Evolution: How to Remove Dead Dinosaurs

How do you remove dead dinosaurs from your park in Jurassic World Evolution 2? The process is actually quite simple.

It’s inevitable that dinosaurs will die in Jurassic World Evolution 2. Just as life finds a way, so does death. It’s sad, but it can also be cause for another concern: disease. Dead dinos are dangerous to the other dinos in your park. So how do you remove them?

How to Transport Dead Dinosaurs in Jurassic World Evolution 2

I’ve given the process away a bit in the subhead above, but to remove dead dinosaurs in Jurassic World Evolution 2, you must transport them. Once one gives up the ghost:

  • Select the Transport option in the taskbar on the left-hand side of the screen
  • Then select the dead dinosaur

When a dinosaur dies, a red skull icon will appear at the top of the screen, as well as over the deceased dino. Expired dinosaurs don’t technically “go” anywhere. The transport helicopter picks them up and disposes of them … somewhere. There aren’t any specific buildings to construct that deal with getting rid of them.

Dinosaurs can die for various reasons. Some are killed because they’re attacked by other dinos. Others die from fighting each other because they don’t cohabitate well. Still others can die from getting sick, such as when an Allosaurus contracts avian pox or a Chasmosaurs develops tuberculosis.

How to Find Dinosaur Lifespan

Every dinosaur has a life expectancy. You can find how long that is for each species by:

  • Selecting a dinosaur
  • Going to the information tab on their data card (the last icon with a circle and “i” in it)
  • Finding Life Expectancy under Dinosaur Stats

You can also see how old a dinosaur is by looking at its current age underneath Expected Lifespan. Life expectancy is determined by the Lifespan Trait, which can be altered through Genetic Modification. Genomes can be altered for Long Lived or Short Lived values before incubation.

And that’s all you need to know if you’re wondering how to remove dead dinosaurs in Jurassic World Evolution 2. You also know how to check how long each species should live, giving you a good idea of when they will die, all things being equal. For more, consider giving one of our other JWE 2 guides a read
