Find Out If Your PC Can Run The Crew

You'll need 8GB of RAM and an Intel Core i7 to play The Crew at optimal settings.

Game publisher Ubisoft has finally released the specs for their upcoming racer The Crew. Developed by Ivory Tower and Ubisoft Reflections, The Crew is an open-world racing title that will require an internet connection to fully enjoy. The focus of the game is teaming up with other players to form a crew, then taking on challenges together and battling against other crews.

While you will need a modern PC or laptop to run The Crew, the requirements are not too demanding; especially when compared to past Ubisoft PC titles. The game will support any operating system from Windows 7 SP1 onwards, but it is highly recommended that you upgrade to Windows 8/8.1.

Of course, having enough RAM is important as well. The Crew will just about run on a machine with 4GB but you’re going to need 8GB of RAM to play the game with decent graphic settings.

You’ll also need a good processor. An Intel Core2 Quad Q9300 at 2.5 GHz or an AMD Athlon II X4 620 at 2.6 GHz  will be enough but Ubisoft recommends having an Intel Core i5-750 at 2.66 GHz or an AMD Phenom II X4 940 at 3.0 GHz. To play The Crew at optimal settings you’ll require an Intel Core i7-2600K at 3.4 GHz or an AMD FX-8150 at 3.6GHz.

In terms of video cards, a NVIDIA GeForce GTX260 or AMD Radeon HD4870 is the minimum requirement, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX580 or AMD Radeon 6870 is the reccomended requirement and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX670 or AMD Radeon 7870 is the optimal requirement.

The Crew is due out on December 2 for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox 360. Will your machine be able to run the game or will you have to upgrade? Let us know in the comments.
