While Nintendo or The Pokemon Company are typically the first to announce new Pokemon info, Game Freak director Junichi Masuda has gone on record stating that there will be new information on the latest Pokemon entries on May 10th. This news came via Twitter in the following post:
New #PokemonSunMoon information will be revealed on May 10th, around 21:00 JST! Stay tuned everybody!

We currently have no information on what ‘new Pokemon Sun and Moon information’ entails; however, we can be certain that it will be much better than the announcement of a new trailer a few weeks ago as that was merely the first time the Nintendo Direct trailer was played on Japanese television. Since that trailer can only be new in Japan once we can only expect something unseen to be revealed now.
The information session will be aired on May 10th at 9:00 pm JST. That’s 8 am EST for those of us living in the Americas!
The question is… what will the new information be? Images of the new starter Pokemon? The name of the region? New gameplay mechanics? Only time will tell, but you can leave your ideas on what you think will be revealed on the 10th in the comments section below!
