Psyonix Studios paying homage to the game hardly any of Rocket League's current player base ever played.

According to a recent tweet, Rocket League’s next pack of downloadable content will be releasing very soon. How soon?

Tomorrow. October 13th.

The DLC is called Revenge of the Battle Cars, taking its name from Rocket League‘s predecessor, Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, which released all the way back in 2008. With Revenge of the Battle Cars, developer Psyonix is aiming to give fans a crash course in the series’ history.

The DLC pack focuses almost exclusively on customization options, featuring new Decals, Paint Types, and Antennas, among other things. However, the biggest additions are easily the new (old) cars: Scarab and Zippy.

Psyonix will also be giving away smaller freebies alongside Revenge of the Battle Cars that are headlined by new variations on a couple of existing arenas: Utopia Coliseum and Urban Station. On top of that, players can expect new music as well as community and country flags.

All things considered, Revenge of the Battle Cars is pretty cheap for a piece of DLC these days, coming in at a grand total of $3.99. So, for devoted fans of not only Rocket League but SARPBC, this seems like a no-brainer.
