Aperture Science DS New Portal portable homebrew in your Pocket!

Homebrew is AWESOME! Portal In your Pocket for the Nintendo DS.

What could be more awesome than Portal you ask? Well, how about Portal on your DS?!?! That's right homebrew devs Smealum and Lobo have created a version of Portal for the DS! It has 14 playable levels and even a snazy level editor!

The devs have managed to pack in most of the mechanics from the original Portal and the level editing from Portal 2; this is kind of like a Portal 1.5.

Keep in mind that this is the first public release, so as the devs note: "it's buggy but mostly playable," don't expect a perfectly polished game.

It's an interesting idea and one that would likely not have ever come about without the homebrew community, Valve doesn't exactly have much of a relationship with Nintendo and I've never heard of any plans to officially port it to the handheld.

If you want to check out the project, you can visit the project page on Smealum's site, Smealum.net.

Here's a reminder that this is homebrew so if you don't know what homebrew is, it's probably not for you.

I wonder how long it will be before Valve or Nintendo takes notice of this and either a) hire them right away or shut them down for breaking the rules....
