Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner MARS Gets Release Dates

Konami's mecha action series returns to PlayStation and PC this fall.

Konami announced this week that the HD remaster of their mecha action game, Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner MARS, will launch for PlayStation 4, PlayStation VR, and PC in North America on September 4, 2018, and in Japan and Europe on September 6, 2018. It will be priced at $29.99.

The remaster will contain enhanced visuals, 4K resolution, and surround sound support as well as a new "very easy" mode for inexperienced players, the ability to remap the controller, training modules, and a minimap. Additional VR content will include a 3D Hangar, a 3D Model Viewer, and a Cinematic Theater.

Those who pre-order the game from the PlayStation Network will receive a special "Welcome to MARS" theme as well as several Zone of the Enders avatars.

A 4K and VR demo of Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner MARS is set to be released on the PlayStation Store before the launch of the full game, and a new trailer can be seen on Konami Europe's Twitter.

The original game, Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner, released for PlayStation 2 in Japan, North America, and Europe in 2003 and was re-released as part of the Zone of the Enders HD Collection for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2012, which was also the first time the games were released in Australia.
