Homefront: The Revolution release date confirmed

America's next struggle against its Korean oppressors begins on 17th May!

Deep Silver has confirmed the release date for Homefront: The Revolution. An announcement on the game's official site stated that it will be available for purchase on 17th May 2016 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Linux in the US. It will be available for the rest of the world on 20th May.

Details of Revolution's beta access in February were also released alongside this information, inviting you and up to three friends to "embark on different online co-op missions to get your first taste of fighting The Revolution". If you feel like you want to be involved, the registration form for the beta can be found here.

Homefront: The Revolution takes place two years after the events of the first game. It is an open world, first-person shooter where you lead a desperate resistance against America's Korean oppressors in the 'Yellow Zone' of a densely populated Philadelphia. The player must aid the freedom fighters by discovering and securing safe houses, organize attacks on the KPR military, disrupt their security, and assassinate high priority targets.

Great article! The game looks awesome. I'm excited to see what the devs bring to the table this time around.

One thing you should check out is the header image though. It seems it may have been messed around with another article!

Yeah cheers for pointing that out, all fixed now! I actually quite enjoyed the original Homefront, so it will be good to see how much they've improved on it and what interesting new features they implement
