Terraria Halloween Update - Creeper Costume and Pumpkins

Terraria Halloween update officially has a Creeper costume and little pumpkins.

If you're one of the people who love Terraria like I do, you'll be very impressed to know they're having a Halloween update. But that's not all, the best part is that the creator of Minecraft, Markus Persson (Notch), has added in a Creeper costume for us all to enjoy.

What's so big about Terraria?

Well, Terraria is a very big game because it's like Minecraft, but slightly more expansive. There's a bit more than Minecraft item-wise, but Terraria is set in a 2D world. Both games have their benefits and their disadvantages, but that's not the point. The big deal is, Terraria is finally having more updates, and now they have a little easter-eggy Creeper costume.

It's been confirmed via Twitter, since Andrew Spinks, creator of Terraria, tweeted out a screenshot of a Creeper costume on Terraria with little pumpkins. Within his tweet, he mentions the Terraria Halloween update, while also thanking Notch in the process.

As someone who's getting back into Terraria from these updates, I can't wait until this one later this month. Hopefully we can expect more great things from Terraria, as well as Minecraft.

I was considering buying this game on Steam. Is it worth it?

The game is totally worth it! It was great before all the updates and now it's even more incredible. In a basic rundown, there's the Terraria world, but there's also kinds of 'biomes' such as desert, Hallow, Crimson, Corruption ect. And they all play a part and sometimes the crimson/hallow/corruption spread (which can be prevented).

Another great aspect about Terraria is how the game is set up. You can create a character and play it on any server, and still have all your items/armor on the character. There are also piggy banks and safes and they'll hold items specific to your character that also span over servers.

Aside from that, you'll also find somethings won't be in maps, while other things will. For example, Pyramids don't always spawn in maps, and goldore isn't always mineable.

Gosh so much more! I just don't wanna overwhelm you. :P

I bought Terraria off of Steam yesterday and played it for the first time last night. Not going to say whether it is as good as Minecraft or not, but I am definitely excited for the Halloween update! A Creeper costume?! Yes, please!

I think you'll absolutely love terraria the more you play it. I'm not too savvy with it, but I play with the bo' and a few friends and they help me out a lot. Also, I do hope you got it on sale! It's on mid-week madness or was, for only $2.50.
