A very surprising video came out August 17th, 2013. No one was really expecting any Homefront 2 gameplay so soon, but YouTuber Alan Wake got his hands on what seems to be alpha footage of the game.
Homefront 2 is scheduled for a 2014 release. The gameplay video showcases some small gunplay and a few nonfunctional singleplayer missions. It also shows that an equipment wheel has been added to the game, and features gunplay similar to the first Homefront.
Although the footage may be real, some have said it is fake. A user by the name of “WickedRazaorBlade” said:
Looks fake to me. It can be mod made for Crysis.
Considering that it very well could be a Crysis mod, removes any credibility the uploader has. Until it is confirmed that this is in fact a Homefront 2 gameplay, there is no way of knowing the truth.
