Blizzard’s Class Tuning Patch Notes Eyes Five Classes for Major Buffs in WoW SoD Phase 2

Upcoming class tuning is bringing buffs to five classes. Here's what Blizzard has in store.

Ahead of the March 5 weekly reset, Blizzard has announced that some underperforming classes have buffs en route to improve their SoD experience. Here’s what’s in store for Mages, Hunters, Paladins, Warlocks, and Warriors in the next WoW Classic: SoD Phase 2 class tuning patch.

Upcoming Class Changes Set for March 5 Weekly Reset in WoW SoD Phase 2

If you’re having trouble with healing and mana conservation as a Mage Healer or are disappointed by your Hunter’s damage output, Blizzard has taken notice. In the latest, March 1 blue post on Season of Discovery class tuning, Blizzard listed several changes coming to runes and abilities with the next weekly reset. From what I can tell, Frost Mages seem like they’ll dominate in the Stranglethorn Vale PvP event. Here’s what’s in store.

Full Season of Discovery March 5 Class Tuning Patch Notes

Hunter

  • Chimera Shot damage increased to 120% of weapon damage. Chimera Shot Serpent Sting damage increased to 48% of Serpent Sting damage.
  • Explosive Shot base damage done before Attack Power increased by 15%.
  • Carve damage increased to 65% of weapon damage.

Mage

  • Frostfire Bolt base damage increased by 50%, and its increased damage from bonus spell damage increased by 16%.
  • Spellfrost Bolt base damage increased by 50%, and its increased damage from bonus spell damage increased by 14%.
  • Regeneration, Mass Regeneration, and Chronostatic Preservation spell power coefficients increased by 88%.
  • Chronostatic Preservation mana cost decreased by 44%. Resolved some tooltip issues with Chronostatic Preservation.

Paladin

  • Seal of Martyrdom damage increased to 50% weapon damage per swing. Seal of Martyrdom Judgement increased to 85% weapon damage.
  • Seal of Martyrdom Seal and Judgement effects now benefit from talents and effects that modify Seal of Righteousness, particularly Improved Seal of Righteousness.

Warlock

  • Grimoire of Synergy now increases damage done by the Warlock and their pet by 25% when it is active.

Warrior

  • Devastate damage increased to 150% of weapon DPS, before being increased by number of Sunder Armor stacks.

That’s all the upcoming buffs for Warriors, Mages, Warlocks, Paladins, and Hunters in WoW Season of Discovery Phase 2. That’s not all for changes on March 5 either. Discoverer’s Delight and mount cost also received adjustments.
