If you’re collecting every rune for your class, you must find and defeat the seven Dark Riders. However, this can be difficult since they’re Level 41 elites with a hefty health pool. But if you’re ready for the challenge, here’s where to find all Dark Riders in WoW Classic: SoD.
Every Dark Rider Location in WoW SoD Phase 2
The Dark Riders are found in seven locations: Arathi Highlands, Badlands, the Barrens, Deadwind Pass, Desolace, Duskwood, and Swamp of Sorrows. Each one drops a relic. And to get your class rune, you must turn in each relic to the Dalaran Agent at Ariden’s Camp in Deadwind Pass (52, 35). However, you also need to visit the Dalaran Agent before hunting the Riders to grab Ariden’s Sigil, which is required to reveal them.
When facing the Dark Riders, you can fight them in a raid group. However, only raid members who damaged the Rider can loot it. If you miss it, you’ll have to wait at least five minutes for a respawn. Although, some respawn times can be 20 minutes or more. Once you’re ready, head to these locations. I’ve included a gallery of marked maps for each location.
- Arathi Highlands: 34, 35
- Badlands: 58,54
- The Barrens: 53, 36
- Deadwind Pass: 43, 29
- Desolace: 65, 25
- Duskwood: 23, 47
- Swamp of Sorrows: 69, 28
All Class Runes Rewarded from Dark Riders in WoW SoD
It doesn’t matter which order you defeat the Dark Riders in. But once you have all the relics, turn them into the Dalaran Agent to receive a class rune. The runes you get are:
- Druid: Rune of the Jungle King
- Hunter: Rune of Close Combat
- Mage: Spell Notes: Missile Barrage
- Paladin: Rune of Infusions
- Priest: Luminous Epiphany
- Rogue: Rune of the Assailant
- Shaman: Rune of Two-Handed Mastery
- Warlock: Rune of Forbidden Knowledge
- Warrior: Rune of Ruthless Precision
