Monster Hunter: World Iceborne‘s final free content expansion, Title Update 5, drops September 30. It’s a hefty addition to the game, bringing a new dragon to hunt called Fatalis, plus new quests, armor, and more.
Fatalis is a legendary dragon you can only fight after completing both Iceborne‘s story and the Alatreon investigation (and we can help with the Alatreon fight, if you’re stumped). Fatalis lurks in Castle Schrade, and it’s recommended to use the Dragonator and cannons to bring this beast down.
Defeating Fatalis unlocks several new Fatalis gear sets, including weapons, alpha and beta armor, and, of course, Palico armor.
The Arch-Tempered Velkhana event quest will be available for a limited time, though Capcom hasn’t announced the schedule yet.
Title Update 5 also sets the stage for October’s Fun Fright Fest and introduces a number of quality of life improvements, from bug fixes to new music and the Clutch Claw Boost to make fights against certain monsters easier.
This is the last big Monster Hunter: World Iceborne update, though that’s not too surprising with Monster Hunter: Rise on the horizon.
