Hitman 3 takes Agent 47 to Chongqing, a brand new location and a bustling transportation hub in China. It's built using the latest version of IO Interactive's Glacier engine and all the graphical enhancements it makes possible.

IO said Chongqing is the perfect showcase for Hitman 3's many improvements. The game supports dynamic lighting effects, from the city's bright lights to subtler effects and shifting shadows in the sprawling city.

It apparently rains a lot in Chongqing too. Normally unpleasant things like soaked clothes and huge puddles will look fantastic in the game, IO said, thanks to more detailed animations from the improved Glacier engine.

The other big improvement is Hitman 3's AI. IO said Hitman 3 supports hundreds of AI-driven NPCs at once, creating a near-endless number of scenario possibilities and making the world feel more alive than ever.

On next-gen consoles, Hitman 3 supports 4K and runs at 60 frames per second.

The upgrades expand to locations from previous games, as well. Hitman 3 lets players import areas from Hitman and Hitman 2 complete with the same graphics and AI improvements present in Hitman 3.

Hitman 3 releases January 20, 2021, for PC, Stadia, and current- and last-gen consoles. A Nintendo Switch version via cloud streaming is also in the works.

Hitman 2 Gets New Contracts, Escalations, and an Elusive Target https://www.gameskinny.com/rxb01/hitman-2-gets-new-contracts-escalations-and-an-elusive-target https://www.gameskinny.com/rxb01/hitman-2-gets-new-contracts-escalations-and-an-elusive-target Thu, 13 Dec 2018 10:06:15 -0500 William R. Parks

With Hitman 2, IO Interactive moved away from the episodic model that defined 2016's Hitman, choosing instead to give players the entirety of its main campaign on release day. Executive Producer Markus Friedl explained that this new approach would allow for "much more varied live content right after launch," and his words are proving true, as a myriad of new activities are already coming to the game this month.

Hitman 2's December content updates began last week with five Featured Contracts grouped under a unifying theme: "Occupational Hazards." Each of these contracts are "focused on jobs, occupations, and professions," and they are all player-made creations hand selected by IO.

Details on the theme for January's Featured Contracts, as well as how players can submit their contracts, are forthcoming.

From there, the content continues with an Escalation Contract, titled "The Aelwin Augment," releasing today. Escalation Contracts are typically high difficulty challenges with multiple objectives, and IO promises more of the same here, as players will make a "memorable visit" to the Isle of Sgail.

Next up is a Limited-Time Holiday Event scheduled for December 18. No further details about this seasonal offering are currently available.

Then, on December 21, players can track down Hitman 2's next Elusive Target in Santa Fortuna. Titled "The Revolutionary," fans will have 10 days, and one chance, to complete the assignment if they want to walk away with the "Casual Tourist with gloves suit."

"The Revolutionary" marks Hitman 2's second Elusive Target, following behind a target, portrayed by veteran actor Sean Bean, that accompanied the game's launch.

To round out the month, yet another Escalation Contract will begin on December 27. This time around, players will be off to Santa Fortuna for what IO has called "The Turms Infatuation."

While Hitman 2's initial sales were less than impressive, critical response to the entry has been strong. Our writers praised it for its "staggering" amount of content, and with December's new offerings, it is clear that IO intends to add much more.

For those who have been asking for more assassinations for Christmas, it seems that their wish has been answered.

Hitman 2: 100% Challenges Guide (The Finish Line) https://www.gameskinny.com/pm7pl/hitman-2-100-challenges-guide-the-finish-line https://www.gameskinny.com/pm7pl/hitman-2-100-challenges-guide-the-finish-line Sun, 18 Nov 2018 15:26:26 -0500 Tim White

Grab a drink and get comfortable—there's a ton of Hitman 2 wisdom packed into this guide! Let's dive right in.

Many of these challenges will be easier if you've unlocked certain starting disguises, locations, or gear. We'll mention those opportunities when they're relevant, but no challenge is impossible to complete without them; you just may have to do a little more prep work on your own. This guide also assumes you have a basic understanding of the various ways to manipulate NPCs—namely, by poisoning them and creating distractions.

TIP: We've presented related challenges in a logical order wherever possible, but there's more than one way to combine many of them. Make liberal use of Ctrl+F to find the names of any challenges, disguises, or locations you're looking for within this guide.

The Map

You may want to open each of these images in a new tab and keep them handy for reference, especially if you aren't intimately familiar with the area yet. All 48 locations required for the DISCOVER MIAMI challenge are marked for you. Underlined text within this guide refers to named map locations.

Discovery Challenges

There are 16 discovery challenges in this mission.

DISCOVER MIAMI - Reveal 48 map locations as shown on the maps above

THE FLAMINGO - Disguise yourself as the mascot

The mascot can be found in the parking garage on floor B1.

THE MILITARY MAN - Disguise yourself as Ted Mendez

Ted Mendez wanders around outside the Miami Bayside Center Expo, near the dolphin fountains. Lure him to a private spot to steal his threads.

COCONUT BALLS - Disguise yourself as Florida Man

Florida just can't catch a break. This walking stereotype can be found fishing on the docks in Marina Park South.

SHEIK ZANZIBAR, I PRESUME? - Disguise yourself as the Sheik

Sheik Zanzibar can be found on the second floor of the Thwack racing paddock, having a drink with someone you might recognize from the "Three-Headed Serpent" mission...

ONE KILO BRICK - Find a brick of cocaine

The annoying tool talking to the sheik is Hector Delgado, and he's carrying a highly illegal substance. Take it from him however you wish. Maybe don't cause a time paradox by killing him.

THE RIVAL - Disguise yourself as Moses Lee

This challenge is easiest to accomplish by starting the mission in a race marshal disguise, but you'll need one even if you don't have it available from the start. Head west across the race track overpass toward the hotel, and descend the stairs to the ground floor. Next to the tower is a race marshal's station. Take up the flag and disqualify either driver when prompted. (If you disqualify Moses Lee, doing so will also complete the ODD ONE OUT feat.)

Immediately turn around and run across the street toward the garages. Moses Lee will be in the Kowoon team garage, which is the yellow one—second in line if you start from the southernmost garage and head north. Follow him until a convenient opportunity to snag his duds presents itself.

VERY IMPORTANT PERSON - find a VIP race pass

From the default starting location, take an immediate left and look for a door to the right of the stairs. You'll need a lockpick or crowbar to get it open, and take care to make sure nobody is watching you pop the lock. The Podium Club Pass is on a table just behind the door.

BACKDOOR ENGINEERING - Find the event crew keys

From the starting location, look for a white door behind and to the right of you. This leads to the trucks area. If you don't have a valid disguise, sneak carefully into the locker room and snag the keys from the gross laundry basket.

DAY AT THE AQUARIUM - find a Bayside Center keycard

There are Bayside Center keycards all over this mission; two are easy to access from the default starting location without needing any particular disguises. The Kronstadt engineer outside the employee entrance in Marina Park SE has one you can snag after disposing of him.

Alternatively, you can grab one from a table in the staff area behind Robert Knox's demo car in the expo room.

BLACKMAIL - Find the blackmail documents

This challenge is a bit misleading, because the item you're looking for is actually called incriminating evidence. You'll find it naturally by following the mission story "Pretty in Pink" (and wouldn't you know it, we've got a guide on how to do that right here).

FRUTTI DI MARE - Find two aquatic "weapons"

Ok, this one's just weird. You need to find a fish and a starfish, both of which can be used to inflict terrible carnage. (Just like in real life, I guess?) Head to the aquarium and get ready to radically increase the owner's insurance premiums. Shoot the glass out of tank #9 to dump its contents all over the floor and find the starfish. Fish can be found in several of the other tanks.

WHAT'S IN THIS THING? - Open the evidence locker

It would seem someone's trying to kill one of Robert Knox's rivals, but the bomb they tried to mail has been intercepted. The fastest way to get to the evidence locker it's stored in is to start as a food vendor or a waiter, if you have either. Find any lone security guard, knock him out, and take his clothes. (This isn't required, but it makes the next part much easier.)

Make your way down to the security area. See that tiny little yellow post-it note on the desk that I circled in the screenshot? That's the combination for the evidence safe. Sneak in there and grab it, but watch out for the one or two guards in the area that won't be fooled by your outfit.

Once you've got them digits, head across the hall into the southernmost room (the one with a police baton on a shelf). Open the evidence locker. Strictly speaking, this is all you need to do for this challenge, but if you also want to complete the EXPLOSIVE LIAISONS assassination challenge, grab the car bomb and the note and hop over to that section of this guide to see what to do next.

COMMUNICATION BREAKDOWN - Sabotage the satellite dish

A Kronstadt security outfit will make this a hundred times easier, but sadly, you can't start with one. To get one easily, start as a Kronstadt engineer and grab a Bayside Center keycard from an office just down the hall from your starting location.

There are lots of bodyguards on this floor; isolate one however you prefer and grab his suit. That done, jog up to the third floor—preferably via the southwest staircase, as it's the only one not guarded by security personnel that won't be fooled by your disguise. Head to Robert's office and snag the electronic access dongle from Knox's desk.

Now head north down the hallway to the server room. Hop out the window on the west wall and use the dongle on the laptop next to the satellite dish. This challenge is now complete, but you're now perfectly set up for the assassination challenges THE MESSAGE and THE TREE FALLS ON THE APPLE. Scoot over to those sections if you're after those challenges.

SLICE OF VICE - Escape Miami on a speedboat

Once you've eliminated both targets, head to the Marina Park South and break into the boat rental shack, but make sure the patrolling guard doesn't see you do it. Snag the boat key from the counter inside and use it on the boat moored just outside.

THE SEWER BEYOND - Escape through the sewers

This is a perfect escape route if you're doing any of the mission stories or assassination challenges that involve Sierra Knox and the mascot (PRETTY IN PINK, SYMPATHY FOR THE BIRD, PINK MENACE or LAST WORDS), but you can exit through the sewers anytime. The entrance is conveniently located in the hotel courtyard. You'll need a crowbar to lift the manhole, so come prepared.

Whew! That's all 16 discovery challenges done. Take a break, stretch, go outside for a bit.

There are 33 feats in this mission.

MR. TAMBOURINE MAN - Take the street musician's clothes and play his instruments

This is super easy. From the default starting area, head left and go down the stairs. The street musician is right there in the tunnel. Take him out anyway you choose, steal his duds, and then interact with his drums to blend in.

ARMS DEALER - Pacify a researcher with an android arm

To finish this challenge in 20 seconds, start as a Kronstadt engineer and scoot over to the android lab, just across the hall from the android showroom. There are arms and nerds everywhere; grab one of the former and bean one of the latter.

THOROUGH DEMONSTRATION - Make the killer robot waste someone other than Robert Knox

This one's also fast and easy if you start as a Kronstadt engineer. Jog over to Office 1C on the second floor, then into the server room adjacent to it. You'll find Derek McInnis's ID card on the desk. Run to the android showroom and wait for dear Derek to step in front of the killer robot. Scan his ID card and feel free to giggle. (You can also do this to Ted Mendez, whose ID card can be found behind the 1F reception desk, but it's a lot more convoluted to pull off.)

SHAFTED - Push someone down an elevator shaft to their death

This can be done on the 2nd floor of the Kronstadt building, in the maintenance room immediately to the right at the top of the main staircase. Lure someone into the room by throwing objects or turning on the sink to flood the room. Coax them to the very edge of the elevator shaft with further distractions and give them a gentle shove, then reflect on what a terrible person you are.

TINTAMARRESQUE - Take a cheesy photo

In Marina Park South, near the dock where Florida Man hangs out, you'll see a goofy photo-op cutout. Simply interact with it.

FISH SLAPPING DANCE - Slap someone into the ocean with a fish

Yeah, you read that right. You can probably start the mission with a fish as one of your items, it's a fairly low-level unlock. If you don't have it yet, snag one from the aquarium as detailed in the FRUTTI DI MARE section.

The roaming security guard in Marina Park South near Florida Man makes an easy target, but you can use any of the NPCs in the area. Lure the unfortunate soul to the edge of the pier by throwing stuff, then approach and beat him with the fish to make him fall in the water. What a weird sentence to type.

FREE FISHIE - Help a fish go home

Immediately after you complete FISH SLAPPING DANCE, toss the murder weapon back to whence it came. Or, if you're not a total monster, just toss any fish into the water—you don't need to kill someone with it first.

TANKED - Incapacitate security guard(s) by shooting a fish tank

You'll need a gun for this—any will do. Two security guards patrol the aquarium. Wait for one or both of them to stop next to or pass by any of the wall-mounted fish tanks, then shoot the glass a few times.

SLEEPING WITH THE FISHES - Dump a body into a fish tank

After completing TANKED, just dispose of the guard(s) in any of the open-top fish tanks. It's the perfect crime; nobody will ever notice the shattered glass or the gasping fish flopping all over the floor.

SAFETY FIRST - Tamper with the pressure release valves for the pyrotechnics display

This is a required step for the BETTER BURN UP THAN FADE AWAY assassination challenge; see that section for details.

ODD ONE OUT - Disqualify Moses Lee

Dress up as a race marshal and disqualify Moses Lee from either of the two race marshal stations at the base of the raceway overpass towers.

SWEET VICTORY - Put sugar in Moses Lee's gas tank

If you've reached Mission Mastery level 20, you can start as a mechanic in the Kowoon garage, which is perfect—but starting as a waiter in the driver's lounge is a good choice too. In either case, head into the kitchen just across the hall from the driver's lounge. Snag a bag of sugar from the counter.

Now head back to the Kowoon garage and change into a mechanic's uniform if you didn't start with one. Click on the pit crew station and select the funnel to use the sugar in a cutscene. Challenge complete!

47 ON THE SCOVILLE SCALE - Drink the chili shot during a drinking contest with Sierra Knox

This challenge, as well as MILKY WAY and HOT SHOT, can all be set up fairly quickly by disqualifying Sierra Knox from the race. (Moses Lee wins by default unless you disqualify him; these three challenges can all be completed regardless of who wins, but all of them go a lot faster if Moses wins.)

No matter how you choose to approach the setup, you'll need to get Moses Lee alone, incapacitate him, and change into his clothes after the race is over. Head to the driver's lounge and wait for Sierra Knox to show up. (Sometimes she dawdles, or won't come to the lounge at all. If you go find her and speak to her as Moses, that should prompt her to come to the lounge.)

Once she arrives and the drinking contest gets underway, watch the glass she puts the chili sauce in very closely. She'll spin the serving tray and invite you to take the first shot. If you kept your eye on the spicy glass, you'll know which one it is—either drink it or don't, depending on whether you're going for this challenge or MILKY WAY.

MILKY WAY - Make Sierra drink the chili shot

Follow the instructions for 47 ON THE SCOVILLE SCALE above, just make sure she drinks the shot instead of you. (This is also a good opportunity to poison the chili sauce with emetic poison before Sierra arrives, if you want to send her to the bathroom in order to complete HOLD MY HAIR. Doing so while dressed as a waiter will avoid arousing any suspicion.)

RED FLAG - Stop the race early by crashing multiple cars

The ideal setup for this one involves starting as a race marshal with a sniper rifle smuggled into the parkside food stands, but it doesn't matter where the rifle is as long as you can get one. You can also check off the DÉJÀ DUE feat and the MOVING TARGET assassination challenge with this setup.

Return to the overpass with your rifle and take out one or both of the real race marshals, if necessary.

Shoot Sierra's car with your rifle when it comes down the straightaway, completing MOVING TARGET in the process. (You can't shoot other cars until hers is destroyed.) Simply continue shooting other cars until the challenge completes.

DÉJÀ DUE - Snipe a poor, innocent, defenseless pigeon

This might be the hardest feat in this mission, simply because the pigeon is so difficult to find. (You're welcome.) As in RED FLAG, bring a sniper rifle to the raceway overpass and face north. Looking at the screenshot below, you may not see anything. He's just reeeaallyy far away. Zoom in, he's there, I promise. Blast him.

THE THUNDER THIEF - Accept the race trophy as Moses Lee

To do this, you'll need to either disqualify Sierra Knox or wait for the race to end naturally; Moses Lee will win if you don't interfere. Once the race is over, you'll need to move fast. You have to intercept Moses and take his clothes (undetected) before he gets to the podium tunnel.

Make a hard save as soon as you've swapped places with Moses, because the following section can be buggy. Follow the red carpet outside the Kronstadt garage, down through the podium tunnel. On the other side, you'll run into this dude in a gray suit.

Stop before him and let him chatter a bit, then follow him when he tells you to. You need to wait until 5 other NPCs show up and position themselves at the top of the stairs before you can go accept the trophy; sometimes this process takes several minutes, and sometimes it doesn't happen at all. Try reloading an earlier save if 5+ minutes go by and you still haven't been called to accept the trophy.

YOU GOT A FAST CAR - Sit in Robert Knox's new prototype race car

The car in question is located in the expo room, and you can get to it most easily by starting as a Kronstadt engineer. You'll need a screwdriver, so pick one up anywhere (there's one in the maintenance room just northeast of the car itself).

Use the screwdriver on the car's engine and wait for another engineer to call Robert Knox to report the problem. The boss will come running and will direct you to sit in the car when he gets there. (This completes this challenge and leads into the assassination challenge EXTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE, but to do that one, you'll need to have done something else first; see that section of this guide for more info.)

POTTY TRAINING - Make the doctor's patient leave without killing him

In the emergency bay, a Kronstadt team member is struggling to provide a urine sample. You could just bash his brains in, but this challenge is asking you to show a little finesse. Just follow him into the bathroom and turn on the sink to, uh, correct his problem.

Completing this challenge will put you in a good position to complete the DOCTOR 47 and/or VITAMIN OVERDOSE assassination challenges.

SYMPATHY FOR THE BIRD - Stop Sierra Knox from killing the mascot

To make this possible, you'll first need to find the mascot in the B1 parking garage before the race ends. Return his car keys and don't mess with him after that—just wait for the race to end, and head for the hotel in the meantime.

Eventually, the mascot will show up and be led into the courtyard.

Sneak your way to the alley behind the hotel, and take up a position here:

Wait until Sierra Knox arrives to confront the mascot. It may be a while. Once they've made their way into the alley, stay hidden until Sierra dismisses her guards. When you hear her say "Who do you think you're dealing with?" that's your cue to move in. Dispose of her in any manner before she pushes the mascot down the hole.

LAST WORDS - Get killed by Sierra Knox in a very specific manner

This is another weird one. Follow the instructions for SYMPATHY FOR THE BIRD as described above, but instead of hiding behind the crates, drop down the hole and just hang there before Sierra and the mascot arrive. Chill out there for five or ten minutes, and don't ask me how 47 can support his entire weight on his fingertips for that long.

Don't do anything, just wait. Once Sierra pushes the mascot to his death, she will finally notice you and stomp on your fingers, sending you to a similar fate.

I have no idea why this is a challenge.

MISSION STORIES: MIAMI - Complete the mission stories "Pretty in Pink," "New Army," and "Perfect Machine"

In the interest of brevity, let's take advantage of a feature that Hitman 2 already has built into it: the mission stories guide. Set it to "full guide" in options, if it's not that way already. Now, head to the following three locations to uncover the three relevant mission stories.

Eavesdrop on Ted Mendez outside the Miami Bayside Center Expo...

...eavesdrop on the mascot in the B1 Parking Garage...

...and finally, eavesdrop on the Krondstadt mechanic's phone call near the port-a-potties in Stands South.

Doing all three of these things will unlock "New Army," "Pretty in Pink," and "Perfect Machine," respectively. Simply track and complete each mission story to check off MISSION STORIES: MIAMI.

THE BRIEFCASE - Unlock an ICA briefcase by completing the Miami mission

It's right there in the description. Complete this mission in any fashion whatsoever.

This feat, and the five others that comprise it, are the same in every mission. They're fairly straightforward, and most of them can be completed in many different ways.

  • HOLD MY HAIR: Kill a mission target by drowning them. Most easily accomplished by using emetic poison on a food or drink item you know the target will consume, then following them to the bathroom to drown them in the toilet.
  • PIANO MAN: Kill a mission target with the fiber wire, anytime, any place.
  • STRAIGHT SHOT: Kill a mission target with a headshot from a firearm
  • TASTELESS, TRACELESS: Kill a mission target with lethal ingested poison. In this mission, completing HOT SHOT will satisfy this requirement as well.
  • SOMEONE COULD HURT THEMSELVES: Kill a mission target via an accident kill. In this mission, the following assassination challenges all count as accidents if you complete them while undetected:

Assassination Challenges

We're on the home stretch, boys and girls. I know this is what you really wanted, anyway. There are 18 assassination challenges in this mission.

THE FLORIDA DIET - Poison Robert Knox at Florida Man's Food Stand

You'll need some sort of ingestable lethal poison for this challenge. Either bring some in your loadout or look for lethal pills in the emergency bay.

Florida Man hangs out around the pier in Marina Park South. Kill him or knock him out, then take his clothes and his food stand key.

Head over to his food cart just north of where you found him and use the key to unlock it.

Blend in at the cart, and when NPCs wander by, serve them some coconut balls. When you've satisfied a few customers, Robert Knox will get word that his favorite eatery has reopened and come down for a bite. Discreetly add some lethal poison to his dish before serving him, then get outta there before his bodyguard catches on.

THE MAN AND THE SEA - Kill Robert Knox with a giant fish

Bring a concealable firearm and follow THE FLORIDA DIET as described above, but don't poison Robert Knox's food. He'll go for a walk after he's eaten and will eventually end up on the pier where you found Florida Man. Wait until he's lined up with the giant fish mounted above the pier, then shoot the support ring on the opposite side to finish off Robert Knox in a spectacularly embarrassing fashion.

EXTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE - Cause Robert Knox's new prototype car to fatally malfunction

If you can, start the mission as a Kronstadt engineer and snag a Bayside Center keycard from the staff area behind the prototype car in the expo room.

You'll need two other things too: a screwdriver (maintenance room just northeast of the car) and a canister of octane booster. There are several boosters in various places, but the easiest one to grab without raising suspicion is on a shelf in the race marshal area garage.

Once you've got all your supplies in hand, head to the expo room and sabotage the car's engine with the screwdriver as described in YOU GOT A FAST CAR. Immediately afterward, pour the octane booster into the engine. When Robert Knox arrives, he'll tell you to sit in the car while he diagnoses the engine; oblige him. Rev the engine each time he tells you to. On the third try, he'll explode quite comically. Challenge complete!

UNDER THE SEA - Kill Robert Knox by dropping a shark on him

Pretend you're completing EXTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE, but bring a concealable firearm, and when Robert Knox tells you to sit in the car, ignore him. It's best to hang back about this far.

He'll eventually write you off as a lost cause and decide to fix the car himself. This time, the explosion won't kill him, but it will cause a target lockdown.

Before the explosion happens, slip into the aquarium next door and position yourself right about here.

His bodyguards will bring him here when the lockdown starts—and park him right under that precariously balanced shark up there. You brought a gun, right? You know what to do.

OCULAR ADMINISTRATION - Kill Robert Knox by poisoning his eyedrops

You're heading to the third floor of the expo building, where only Kronstadt security and researchers are permitted, so snag one of those outfits (security would be better). Make sure you bring some lethal poison as well.

Once you've made it to the third floor undetected, find the bathroom across the hall from the storage room and caddy-corner to the server room. You'll see some unattended eye drops on the counter in there. "Modify" them.

However, Knox doesn't use the eye drops unless he needs them. According to some of his employees down the hall, dry air makes his eyes hurt. Hmmm....

Find this A/C panel in Robert's office and set it to dry cool mode. (Watch out for the guard in there who won't be fooled by your disguise.)

Now you just need to wait for Knox to return to his office and the rest will take care of itself.

THE MESSAGE - Arrange an unfortunate height-related accident for Robert Knox

Follow the guide for COMMUNICATION BREAKDOWN way up there in the Discoveries section and wait near the satellite dish for Knox to show up. After some unsuccessful fiddling with the laptop, he'll step dangerously close to the edge of the roof in order to mess with the dish itself. It would be a shame if he slipped...

If you care about doing this undetected, take care of his personal bodyguard ahead of time.

THE TREE FALLS ON THE APPLE - Kill both Robert Knox and Sierra Knox with one well-timed push

Follow the guide for THE MESSAGE, with one difference: don't push Knox as soon as the opportunity presents itself. Wait until he says something like "Oh, here comes my car with my daughter in it." Push him right when he finishes that sentence, or a little earlier, and look at that, your whole job is done already.

You'll know you timed it right if a special cutscene triggers when you push Knox.

PARANOID ANDROID - Make one of Robert Knox's own androids kill him

This is easy to accomplish if you disguise yourself as Ted Mendez, as explained in the "New Army" mission story.

Once you're in disguise as Mendez, head into the building, take the stairs to the right, and grab this picture of Robert Knox from the magazine rack on the landing.

Now head to the android showroom and wait for Knox to arrive and step in front of the killer robot. Use the photo of Robert Knox on the robot and you're done.

EXPLOSIVE LIAISONS - Trick Robert Knox into killing his own daughter

This is probably the toughest assassination challenge to uncover, but it's also the most gratifying (and efficient)!

Start your mission at the default location and sneak into the trucks area. Obtain an authorized disguise, or just don't get caught in here. Either way, head through the southernmost white door in the parking lot and you'll find yourself in the security area.

It's advised to dispatch a security guard and take his clothes. Take the evidence locker combination as described in WHAT'S IN THIS THING? Open the evidence locker and take the car bomb and the note within.

Your next stop is the Kronstadt garage, and you'll need to dress the part too. Find the disgruntled Kronstadt mechanic near the port-a-potties in stands south, or distract one of the mechanics in the garage and take him out; either way, you need a Kronstadt mechanic disguise.

Now, pop over to Sierra's pit stop station in the Kronstadt garage and elect to place a bomb on her car.

Don't detonate it, tempting as it may be.

Now you need to run all the way back to the event entrance and use the pay phone next to the stairs. You'll call the number you found on the note with the car bomb and arrange a meeting with Robert Knox.

He wants to meet face to face on the raceway overpass. Getting there undetected as a mechanic won't be easy, so you may want to change clothes again—Kronstadt security guard would be a good choice.

Once you meet with Knox on the overpass, he'll ask for the bomb detonator. Give it to him, then wait until he dismisses his bodyguard. He'll step to the railing and dramatically activate the detonator, realizing too late that the bomb is on Sierra's car.

If you act quickly, you can capitalize on his shock and grief and send him down to meet her.

Two for one. So satisfying.

DAYS OF THUNDER - Blow up Sierra Knox's car during the race

You can either plant the car bomb on Sierra's car as described in EXPLOSIVE LIAISONS, or you can put a regular remote bomb on her car during the pit stop. Either way, just detonate it yourself at any time instead of handing the detonator over to her father.

WHEEL OF MISFORTUNE - Kill Sierra Knox by sabotaging the tires on her car

Kick this challenge off by getting yourself into a Kronstadt mechanic outfit as described in PERFECT MACHINE or EXPLOSIVE LIAISONS. Grab a pneumatic wrench in the bay next to Sierra's, but make sure the especially alert Kronstadt mechanic doesn't blow your cover.

Head to her pit stop station, and choose to sabotage her tires when prompted.

Enjoy the cutscene, you've earned it.

MOVING TARGET - Snipe Sierra Knox while she's driving

Bring a rifle for this one, as described in RED FLAG - or just get a rifle up to the raceway overpass any way you prefer. Shoot the windshield of Sierra's car as it comes down the straightaway. You don't need to be super precise, it's a pretty generous hitbox.

HOT SHOT - Assassinate Sierra Knox by adding some extra kick to her chili shot

Bring a canister of octane booster when you're going for this one (there's an unguarded one in the race marshal area garage). Once the race is over, regardless of the outcome, you'll need to track down Moses Lee and trade places with him—see THE RIVAL for more info.

Make your way to the driver's lounge and add the octane booster to the bottle of chili sauce. (It may be helpful to briefly trade outfits with a waiter if you're having trouble poisoning the sauce without being noticed. If you go this route, get back into Moses Lee's duds when you're done.)

Now wait for Sierra to show up and accept her drink-off challenge. Watch the poisoned glass very closely; drinking it by mistake would be rather embarrassing. Just make sure she ends up with the deadly drink and this challenge is done—just like her!

DON'T DRIVE AND DRINK - Kill Sierra Knox by poisoning the race trophy

This challenge and the next one both require Sierra to win the race, which can only happen if you disguise yourself as a race marshal and disqualify Moses Lee. Once you've done that, make sure you have some lethal poison and head to the victor's podium (an event staff disguise will allow you unrestricted access).

Now just wait—you don't even have to stay in the area.

BETTER BURN UP THAN FADE AWAY - Arrange a pyrotechnics accident for Sierra Knox

Like DON'T DRIVE AND DRINK, you need to first disqualify Moses Lee from the race to open this path. Beat Sierra to the podium and, ideally, pick up an event staff disguise. Find a wrench (there's one in one of the side rooms behind the hairdresser's area) and use it on these pipes.

Once you've loosened the pressure lock, you also need to adjust the pressure on the three valves to the right. Now just wait for Sierra to claim her very short-lived moment of triumph.

PINK MENACE - Kill Sierra during a clandestine meeting while disguised as the mascot

To pull this off, make your way to the B1 parking garage and assist the mascot as described in SYMPATHY FOR THE BIRD.

However, don't let him get to his vehicle—dispatch him before he gets there, take his keys and costume, and grab the incriminating evidence from his van.

Make your way to the hotel and show the evidence to this guy.

Wait for Sierra to arrive and follow her down the alley. Hand over the evidence when she asks for it and let her monologue for a while; you'll know when the time comes.

VITAMIN OVERDOSE - Make the medic kill Sierra Knox

If you can start as a medic in the emergency bay, that would be ideal. If you can't, race marshal would be good too. In any case, bring a lockpick and make your way to the emergency bay. If you're not dressed as a medic, avoid detection. Find this medical cabinet in the rear of the area and pop it open. Help yourself to the modern lethal syringe.

Now circle back to the back door of the treatment area. The doctor is currently in there with a patient. Wait until both of them are facing away from you, then sneak over to the IV pole and use the modern lethal syringe on the IV bag.

Now you need to get rid of the doc's current patient before Sierra can be "treated." You can isolate him and knock him out/kill him, or you can make him leave by completing the POTTY TRAINING feat. Once he's gone, the doc will call Sierra over the intercom.

Now it's just a waiting game. Enjoy the show.

DOCTOR 47 - Fatally poison Sierra Knox while disguised as a medic

Set this one up just like VITAMIN OVERDOSE, only you need to get rid of the doc as well as his patient. Once both are taken care of, head up front and call Sierra over the intercom. (The race must be over before you can do this.)

When she arrives, ask her to take a seat and start the IV when prompted.

Believe it or not, that's everything. You did it! THE FINISH LINE is 100% cleared. Go get some fresh air.

Hitman 2 still has four more gigantic missions to master. Those 100% guides aren't done just yet, but keep an eye on our Hitman 2 guide list—they're coming soon.

New Game Releases: Week of November 11, 2018 https://www.gameskinny.com/7vek1/new-game-releases-week-of-november-11-2018 https://www.gameskinny.com/7vek1/new-game-releases-week-of-november-11-2018 Mon, 12 Nov 2018 10:59:27 -0500 William R. Parks

Following a relatively quiet week for new AAA releases, studios are coming out swinging with some major titles this week.

On Tuesday, IO Interactive is back with Hitman 2 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, the seventh title in the series and a direct sequel to 2016's Hitman.

For those unfamiliar with the franchise (and who cannot glean the premise from the game's vague title), Hitman 2 puts players in the shoes of Agent 47, a killer-for-hire. As with Hitman, the sequel functions as a sandbox game, setting players loose in six unique (and massive) locales as they decide how they will reach and execute their targets.

If you have been hankering for more stealth murder, Hitman 2 promises an updated and expanded Hitman experience. And if you have never dipped your toes into the series, this new releases looks to be an excellent entry point.

On Wednesday, Bethesda's multiplayer RPG Fallout 76 comes to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Set in a fictionalized West Virginia, 76 is an online-only open-world entry, and it boasts a map four times larger than Fallout 4. While many aspect of the game may prove familiar to fans of the franchise, the emphasis on multiplayer, the absence of NPCs, and alterations to the series' notable SPECIAL and VATS systems means this going to be a title not quite like any other from the series.

While reactions to 76's B.E.T.A. appear mixed, it is difficult to have a full understanding of exactly how the game will function until the general public is let loose on its servers. I am certainly curious to see how things will unfold.

And on Friday, Pokemon comes to Nintendo's newest console with Pokemon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! for Switch.

Let's Go is an updated version of 1998's Pokemon Yellow with modernized gameplay. For instance, Pokemon will now be visible on the game's map, allowing players to approach them directly rather than engage them through random encounters.

Additionally, Let's Go has integration with Pokemon Go, allowing trainers to transfer first gen Pokemon from the mobile game to their Switch. While this integration is optional, if you are looking to catch Meltan, a new mythic, in Let's Go, you will need to transfer at least one Pokemon from Go first.

What are you looking at for this week? Let us know in the comments below, and here is a more complete list of this week's releases.

Hitman 2 Review: Engineered Rampages Have Never Been so Fun https://www.gameskinny.com/ih21u/hitman-2-review-engineered-rampages-have-never-been-so-fun https://www.gameskinny.com/ih21u/hitman-2-review-engineered-rampages-have-never-been-so-fun Mon, 12 Nov 2018 10:57:30 -0500 Tim White

Hitman 2 is more like the biggest expansion pack of all time than a truly new game. That's not a bad thing, as long as you know what you're getting into. It's essentially a half-dozen (enormous) new missions for 2016's Hitman; you can play those original missions right in Hitman 2, even if you don't own the original.

Most fans of the Hitman series have probably never been drawn primarily by the writing. It's never been bad—it's just not the central focus or main appeal of the games. Agent 47 is usually either working for or running from one super-secret international shadow organization or another, and it's no different this time around.

You'll unravel hints of a new conspiracy in the first mission and gradually learn more about it through five more that will fill 47's (fake) passport with stamps from Miami, Columbia, and several other beautiful locations.

I'm essentially not factoring the story into my rating of Hitman 2, for better or worse. It serves its function as a reason for 47 to move from one location to another; that's about all it's good for.

The main reason the Hitman series has been so successful is a simple one: it's really, really fun to find a hundred different ways to kill somebody. The 2016 Hitman reboot took lethal creativity to new heights, turning players loose in some of the biggest and most intricate environments the franchise had ever seen.

If you thought those levels were big, you're in for a real treat this time around.

Let me describe the sheer size of Hitman 2's missions this way. I write for a living. I've written dozens, if not hundreds of game guides since the PS2 days. I've got a pretty efficient system for writing guides for games as I'm playing them—it doesn't take me all that much longer than simply playing the game for enjoyment.

This morning, I spent six hours exploring a single mission, taking notes and screenshots. When I decided to wrap it up for the day, I'd discovered 17% of the content in that mission—in six hours. The sheer volume of stuff to find and do is staggering. As long as you find it entertaining to set up elaborate assassinations, sneak around in disguise, or simply blow everything up, Hitman 2 will keep you busy for a long time.

Within the first three missions, assassination opportunities include but are not limited to: sabotaging vehicles, shoving targets off rooftops and balconies, crushing them under ludicrously heavy objects, feeding them to hippopotamuses, feeding them into heavy machinery, feeding them to piranhas, burying them alive in wet cement, and programming killer robots to shoot them.

This list barely scratches the surface, and these are just the unique opportunistic kills—you can always shoot, blow up, choke, stab, or poison anybody at any time. Completing assignments skillfully (i.e. smoothly and quietly) will unlock new weapons, gear, disguises, and insertion points, giving you even more options for next time.

Don't get me wrong, the core gameplay loop is really fun and enormously satisfying. But in a way, Hitman 2's greatest strength can also be its biggest weakness. There are, after all, only so many ways to kill people.

There's a real risk that Hitman 2 will overstay its welcome before you even finish all the missions, especially if you're a completionist reluctant to move to the next level until you've fully cleared the current one.

I recommend not doing what I'm doing (completing every single challenge in every level), at least not the first time through. It'll eventually get old for all but the most die-hard fans. Play each mission two or three times, try out a handful of assassinations that look the most fun to you, and then move on. If you're still hungry for more after you clear each mission, you can always replay them later.

Almost every game has some sort of multiplayer component nowadays. Frankly, I don't think it belongs in Hitman games, but I gave it a whirl anyway.

As of right now, there's only one mode, called "Ghosts." To be blunt, it's dumb. You and one other player race to kill the same target using limited weapons and equipment.

The first one to kill the target scores a point, but if your opponent also kills (a different version of) the target within twenty seconds, they cancel out your point. What all this means is that you both spend a very long time canceling each other's points and keeping the score eternally at 0-0. It's not worth spending any time on.

Hitman 2 is quite pretty to look at, especially considering how gargantuan some of the maps are. IO Interactive easily could have phoned it in and copy-pasted the same areas over and over, making only minor changes, but no two areas of any map are even close to identical.

From lush jungles to packed race tracks to the markets of Mumbai at sunset, the game's settings are just as diverse visually as they are mechanically. Though Hitman 2's gameplay might eventually get boring, its artwork never will.

Sound & Music

Hitman 2 is a quiet game. I assume that's intentional; it's easier to track moving targets, sneak effectively, and stay focused on a dozen different things if you're not bombarded by noise. The music during stealth/non-alert sections is intense but mellow, creating a sense of mild urgency without panic.

I can't comment extensively on battle music or on many of the weapon sound effects—I strongly prefer to take Hitman games slow and steady, so I rarely found myself in open conflict. On the few occasions when I found it unavoidable, I appreciated the deep, sharp crack of unsuppressed gunshots and the dramatic soundtrack that accompanies them.

Most of the voice acting is grade A, with only a few minor characters giving performances bad enough to be distracting. 47's usual deadpan monotone is the same as always, but in a few scenes, he steps it up considerably in order to impersonate someone or bluff his way past some guards. It's a shame that these scenes are so uncommon; an assassin of 47's skill would surely be a social chameleon, and it would be nice to hear him take on a wider variety of personas.

Hitman 2 is exceedingly well optimized, particularly in light of the fact that we live in a time when many developers seem content to release unfinished games and patch them later—if ever.

The game consistently maintained frame rates of 70+ on Ultra settings while running on a GTX 1080 and an i-7700 Skylake processor. This level of performance is even more impressive when you consider that most of the maps have hundreds, maybe even thousands of NPCs, all of whom move around and do stuff even when you're not close to them.

The load times are superb, never running longer than about five seconds on a Samsung 1TB solid state drive.

Unfortunately, it's not all good news. Like its predecessor, Hitman 2 requires an active internet connection at all times. This is, in a word, obnoxious. Your save data is effectively held hostage; you can't access it while offline. I understand that it's an anti-piracy measure, and I fully support content creators protecting their work, but there really are better ways to do it.

Verdict: 8/10

The Highlights

+ Excellent level design
+ Tons of enjoyable assassinations
+ Top-shelf optimization and performance

– Always-online requirement for single player
– Almost too much content, might get boring
– Lackluster, boring, tacked-on multiplayer

When sequels are described as "more of the same," that's usually a bad thing, but not in this case. Hitman 2 is really just season two of Hitman, but it's so big and interesting that I didn't mind. Fans of stealth, exploration, and jaw-dropping violence will find a lot to love here—as long as the clumsy DRM isn't a complete deal-breaker.

Hitman 2: 100% Challenges Guide (Nightcall) https://www.gameskinny.com/tqbdq/hitman-2-100-challenges-guide-nightcall https://www.gameskinny.com/tqbdq/hitman-2-100-challenges-guide-nightcall Sun, 11 Nov 2018 11:43:06 -0500 Tim White

Each of Hitman 2's missions offers a wide variety of opportunities to inflict creative carnage, but not all of them are easy to uncover. Unlocking 100% of the available challenges in a mission will require patience and planning across several runs.

Note: Each 100% challenge completion guide in this series will only cover mission-specific Assassinations, Feats, and Discoveries. "Classic" challenges are the same across all missions and are straightforward in nature, so they won't be covered here. These guides also assume you've played through the mission at least once and have a basic knowledge of the map and objectives. Since there is a good deal of overlap between many Assassinations and Feats, these guides will offer suggestions on how to complete several at once wherever possible.

Nightcall Discoveries

There are four Discovery challenges in this mission.

WOOD YOU BELIEVE IT? - Find the "driftwood" weapon

You can find several pieces of driftwood on the beach; there's a convenient one near the ruined boathouse due south of the house.

UNDER THE MAT - Find the hidden house key

The hidden house key can be found in this white vase next to the pool (shoot it). Note that the key only unlocks the door right next to it.

DON'T TREAD ON ME - Find a squeaky toy

The squeaky toy can be found behind the bathtub in the second floor bathroom. Another can be found on the floor next to Alma's bed.

DISCOVER HAWKE'S BAY - uncover all map areas

There are six map areas to discover in this mission:

  • Ruined boathouse (on the beach near the default starting location)
  • House exterior
  • House exterior, roof
  • House interior, main floor
  • House interior, second floor/master bedroom
  • House interior, panic room

Nightcall Feats

There are eleven Feats in this mission. Some of them are fairly specific, while others can be completed in a number of ways.

CHAMELEON - Acquire all disguises

There's only one disguise available in this mission, and it can be claimed from any of Alma's bodyguards (except for Orson or the "guard captain," the guy standing next to her when she first enters the house). If you hide in her bedroom as soon as she arrives and wait a bit, a bodyguard will come in shortly and make a convenient target of himself.

NO RUNNING ON THE TILES - Push someone into the pool

Once Alma and her goons come home, one guard will take up a post just outside the door to the pool at the back of the house. Toss a coin as close as possible to the edge of the pool. When he goes to pick it up, cross another Feat off your list. (Beware the patrolling guard who also sometimes comes into the pool area—don't let him see you wax his buddy.)

TASTELESS, TRACELESS - Kill a mission target with poison

There are a number of ways to do this one, and it's one of the five requirements for completing the VERSATILE ASSASSIN Feat. In any case, you need to first retrieve the lethal poison from the second floor bathroom medicine cabinet, which you'll need a lockpick to open. You can find one in the panic room, or bring one in your initial loadout if you've unlocked it.

Once you've got the poison, you can put it in the honey that Alma will eventually put in her tea...

...or you can sneak up to the roof and hide from the guards until Alma goes into the second floor bathroom to brush her teeth. Use the poison on the bathroom air vent to eliminate her; this will also complete the SMELLS LIKE NAIL POLISH challenge.

A third option is to throw a frag grenade on top of the bathroom skylight while she's brushing her teeth (make sure it doesn't kill one of the guards). This will drive Alma and Orson into the panic room, at which point you can use the poison on the panic room vent instead. This will also complete the LIKE FISH IN A BARREL challenge.

ORSON BATHES - Kill Orson with a kitchen knife while he showers

This one is relatively simple. Grab the kitchen knife from the kitchen before Alma and her entourage return home, then stash yourself in the laundry basket in her bedroom and wait. Get comfy, it will be a while.

Wait until Alma and Orson start to get ready for bed; Orson will shower while Alma brushes her teeth. Sneak through the closet and you'll come out right behind the shower stall. You can either stab Orson at close range or throw the knife at him from the closet doorway; the latter is louder and will likely alert Alma, but I nonetheless found it easier to avoid detection this way.

DEATH OF A STATESMAN - Kill Orson by poisoning his whiskey

Since there's only one dose of lethal poison in this mission, you can't do this and poison Alma in the same run. It's easy to pull off, though; use the poison on the glass of whiskey in the master bedroom, then hide in the laundry basket nearby and wait a while.

I recommend also closing the blinds in this room so nobody outside sees the mayhem you'll cause a bit later.

After Orson showers and Alma brushes her teeth, Orson will do some weird sit-ups while Alma goes outside on the balcony. Once he joins her, go hide behind the couch.

The two of them will chat outside for a bit. Orson comes back inside first, but Alma follows soon after, so you need to be quick here. As soon as he drinks the whiskey, drag his body behind the couch such that Alma won't see it when she comes back in—you only have about 3-5 seconds to do this.

STRAIGHT SHOT - Kill a mission target with a headshot

This counts for VERSATILE ASSASSIN and can be done in just about any way you please, but if you want to do it quietly, it's best accomplished right after completing DEATH OF A STATESMAN. Once Alma turns the lights off, no guards will come into her room again, so you can shoot her in the head whenever you like. (Hide the body afterward, because there's a chance one of the roof guards might see her through the skylight.)

If you're looking to be as efficient as possible, simply completing the MR. SANDMAN Feat will satisfy this requirement as well. You can also complete the Assassination challenges LIKE FISH IN A BARREL or A CLEAN KILL by shooting her in the head (through the skylight of the panic room, in the former case).

SOMEONE COULD HURT THEMSELVES - Kill a mission target via an accident kill

Nightcall contains fewer accident kill opportunities than most of the other missions do—I've outlined two possibilities here. An accident kill is also a requirement for VERSATILE ASSASSIN.

The easiest way to do this is to use emetic rat poison on the honey before Alma comes home, then hide in this closet outside the first floor bathroom and wait for her to drink the tea.

Once she enters the bathroom to puke her guts out, sneak up behind her and drown her in the toilet to complete this challenge and HOLD MY HAIR at the same time. Oddly enough, this still counts as an accident even if you hide her body afterward.

You can also complete this Feat by waiting until just before Alma goes to bed, then pushing her over the balcony railing while she leans on it to talk to the guards below. It's very difficult to do this without being detected, but if you can manage it (perhaps by throwing something behind the guards so they turn around), it will count as an accident.

PIANO MAN and/or HOLD MY HAIR - Kill Alma with the fiber wire/by drowning her

Both of these Feats are required for VERSATILE ASSASSIN and are easily accomplished by luring Alma into the bathroom after using emetic rat poison on the honey as described above. Once she stars throwing up, you're perfectly positioned to drown or garrote her, which will check off HOLD MY HAIR or PIANO MAN, respectively.

MR. SANDMAN - Kill Alma with a headshot from the roof while she's sleeping

This Feat requires the least work, but the most patience. Simply head up to the roof as soon as the gang gets home and wait until she goes to bed and falls asleep, which takes 5-10 minutes. Shoot her in the head through the skylight and you're done. If you care about doing this quietly, you may want to kill Orson and hide his body before Alma goes to bed. Completing this Feat also satisfies STRAIGHT SHOT and will count toward VERSATILE ASSASSIN.

VERSATILE ASSASSIN - Complete five other specified Feats

To complete this one, you need to do all five of the following:

Nightcall Assassination Challenges

There are five Assassination challenges in this mission.

SUGAR, HONEY, HONEY - Kill Alma by poisoning her tea

Use the lethal poison on the honey in the kitchen, then wait for Alma to drink the tea. This is the only way to complete this challenge, as she never eats or drinks anything else.

LIKE FISH IN A BARREL - Kill Alma from the roof while she's in the panic room

It can be tricky to drive Alma into the panic room; sometimes she will run for one of the vehicles outside, or simply summon all her guards to kill you. I've found that the most reliable method is to wait until she's brushing her teeth, then throw a single frag grenade on top of the bathroom skylight.

Once she's in the panic room, you can kill her any way you like: by shooting her through the glass, with a proximity mine placed ahead of time, or by poisoning the panic room vent with lethal poison. Get creative.

SMELLS LIKE NAIL POLISH - Kill Alma by sabotaging the bathroom vent system

Simply use lethal poison on the bathroom vent as described in the TASTELESS, TRACELESS section above.

A CLEAN KILL - Kill Alma while Orson is in the shower

This can be done in any way you like, as long as Orson is in the shower at the time.

SLEEP TIGHT - Kill Alma by smothering her in her sleep

If you care about doing this quietly, you may want to kill or subdue Orson and hide his body before Alma goes to bed. Once she does, simply sneak over to her and follow the prompt.

There you have it! It will take several runs, but you now know all you need to know in order to fully complete Nightcall.

Hitman 2: 5-star Silent Assassin Guide (The Finish Line) https://www.gameskinny.com/vijub/hitman-2-5-star-silent-assassin-guide-the-finish-line https://www.gameskinny.com/vijub/hitman-2-5-star-silent-assassin-guide-the-finish-line Sat, 10 Nov 2018 11:01:55 -0500 Tim White

Remember, there are nearly infinite routes you can take to attain a 5-star rating in Hitman 2. This is but one path of many, but it's one you can easily complete on your first attempt with basic equipment.

No time to waste—in order to secure a 5-star ranking on your first run through this mission, when you don’t have any extra items at your disposal, you’ll need to move fairly quickly. Immediately hang a left and head down these stairs.

Take the tunnel to the large plaza nearby and go to the water’s edge. Pick a bench and have a seat to blend in. You’re looking for this douchey military guy. After a moment, he’ll make a phone call. Once you’ve overheard the whole thing, a new Mission Story will be revealed.

Jog over to the outdoor maintenance area just down the sidewalk, where a guy in a white shirt and a security guard will be hanging around. Pick up the coconut on the ground, then head into the maintenance area and grab the shovel.

The military dude will be here momentarily. Once he arrives, toss the shovel against the far wall in the maintenance area. He’ll hear the racket and come to investigate. Bean him in the dome with the coconut once he’s out of the security guard’s line of sight. (I suppose you could just choke him out, but come on, a coconut to the brain cage is way funnier.)

Take his clothes, then drag his body to one side of the enclosure. There’s no container to hide it in, but that’s okay, nobody ever comes in here. Run over to the large building across the plaza, head inside, and check in with the receptionist. Be careful in the lobby and throughout the rest of the building—there are cameras here and there. Don’t get spotted by them.

She’ll direct you to the stairs on the right. Head that way, stopping on the first landing to snag the photo of Robert Knox from the magazine rack.

Check in with this woman at the top of the stairs and follow her all the way to the demonstration room.

Your first target, Robert Knox, will either already be there or he will arrive shortly. Hang around until he’s given his long sales speech, at which point he will scan a photo into the killer robot to make it shoot a dummy target. Wait for him to go downrange, then use the photo of Robert Knox on the killer robot to make it ventilate him.

This counts as an accident kill and an unnoticed kill, even though everyone else clearly saw you do it. Oh well, you know what they say about gift horses.

One down, one to go. Run all the way back down to the main lobby and find the expo room. It’s hard to see, but you’re looking for a staff area behind one of the displays—check the screenshot for reference.

Go through this door…

...then hang a left and go through this door at the end of the walkway.

Head down these stairs…

...and into the security room at the bottom. Be quiet—there’s a sleeping guard in here. Tiptoe past him and go through this door in the back.

Near the vending machines to your right, you’ll see a dude dressed as a flamingo, chatting on his phone. This is your second Mission Story opportunity.

Listen to the entire conversation, then approach him. He’ll ask you to go fetch his car keys from the end of the hallway. Be a good Samaritan and oblige him. Hand the keys over and let him start toward the garage.

Choke him out or otherwise knock him out non-lethally as he’s passing the security room. Take his flamingo suit and reclaim the car keys, then drag him to the dumpster in the garage and stash him there. (Unless you found a security keycard somewhere, in which case you can dump him in the locker in the security room.)

Head to the big black van in the garage and open it with the car keys. Grab the incriminating evidence within.

Double back to the main garage hallway and head up these stairs.

At the top, turn right and go this way.

These two guards will let you pass. Head down the stairs behind them.

Follow the tunnel all the way down. At the top of the exit stairs, look to your left. Go talk to this guy and show him the incriminating evidence.

Once he lets you inside, have a seat in this chair and wait for Sierra Knox to show up. It may be a few minutes, depending on whether or not the race is almost over. (This is why you’ve needed to move quickly until now—if you take too long to kill her father, the race will end and you’ll miss this convenient assassination opportunity.)

Once she arrives, she’ll blather at you a bit, then tell you to follow her. Cooperate. She’ll lead you down an alley with about five of her guards. If she were remotely intelligent, she would just have them kill you, but luckily, she isn’t. She will do the opposite of the smart thing and order her guards away.

Let her finish her speech, then hand over the incriminating evidence when she asks for it. She will step over to the edge of a very deep hole in the ground to burn the evidence and throw it away, still yammering. You know what to do.

After this, her guards shouldn’t be alerted. You can pretty much just walk right out of the mission using any unlocked exit you fancy—just make sure not to get spotted by guards in an area your current disguise doesn’t grant you clearance for.

Well done! There’s your second 5-star rating.

Achieving the highest possible mission ratings in the Hitman series has always been challenging, but flexible. In Hitman 2, 5-star ratings have several strict but general requirements:

  • No kills other than the main target(s)
  • Don't trigger any alarms
  • Never be detected by enemies
  • No bodies discovered
  • Never be detected by cameras
    • If you are spotted by cameras, you can still get a perfect rating if you manage to find and destroy the security hub somewhere in the mission

Beyond that, you're free to complete the missions however you choose—and there are a ton of ways to creatively dispatch each target. This guide will show you just one relatively easy way to guarantee a Silent Assassin rating in Nightcall, Hitman 2's prologue/tutorial mission.

You begin the mission on a windy beach with a ritzy house nearby. There's no need to sneak around just yet; there won't be any enemies around until a bit later on.

Make your way around the back of the house, taking care to avoid or shoot the cameras on the outside walls. You're looking for an open back door to the pool area.

Pick up the screwdriver near the diving board, then head around to the garage and use it on the breaker box nearby to open the garage door.

Gathering Intel

Once inside, you'll need to find four pieces of intel. Before you get too far into the house, though, be sure to snag the emetic rat poison from one of the shelves in the garage storage area. The kitchen is the next room you'll come to; use the rat poison on the jar of honey on the counter (you'll thank me later).

The first intel folder can be found on the coffee table in the living room.

From here, head up the stairs and grab intel folder #2 from the bedside table in the master bedroom.

Now head over to the office on the second floor and try to access the computer. You'll be told you need a password, and that there's a secret room somewhere nearby. Activate Instinct and look around to spot a suspicious-looking painting—go mess with it.

You'll find a room full of guns and goodies, as well as intel item #3: a whiteboard with some nefarious plans scribbled on it.

Grab some weapons if you'd like, but you won't be using them—we're after a perfect rating, remember? That means no non-target kills! Do grab a few frag grenades, though; they'll come in handy later. Be sure to snag the lockpick and the password dongle from the workbench in this room, then head back to the computer and try logging in again. (The security hub is also in this room, if you need to do any video editing.)

Dropping the Target

After a cutscene, you'll have the final intel item, but the homeowner (Alma) and her goons arrive to crash the party. She looks like a tea drinker, doesn't she? I think so too. Stay low behind the upstairs railing until everyone on the ground floor is facing away from you, then sneak down the stairs and hang a left into the first floor bathroom.

Pass through it into the den/storeroom beyond, and hide in the closet. Get comfy and wait just a few minutes.

Soon enough, Alma will ask one of her thugs to make her some tea—with honey. Stay patient and quiet; she'll make a phone call, then meander over to her tea, which you showed remarkable foresight in "modifying" earlier. Once she does, you'll hear her complain that she needs to find a bathroom. Wait until she enters the bathroom you just passed through, then sneak up behind her. You can either drown her in the toilet, or use the fiber wire to garrote her. Don't shoot her or use a bladed weapon—her guards might notice blood on the floor and raise an alarm. Be sure to hide her body in the closet you were just hiding in.

Clean Getaway

Now it's time to get out. The first floor has two or three dudes wandering around, but they're not very perceptive. Wait for an opening, then sneak past them to the garage hallway. Use the lockpick to open the back door, then quickly find some cover in the tall grass outside.

From here, it's a relatively simple matter of staying low and patiently making your way back to the boat. One or two guards may wander into your path; equip a coin and toss it away to distract them, then sneak past.

When you get to the boat, you'll find it guarded by three guys that never move. So close, and yet so far!

You could simply blast them, but then you'd lose your perfect rating that you've worked so hard for. Instead, equip a frag grenade. (You grabbed some from the safe room when I told you to, right?)

Toss one well away from your boat, then sneak over to it when the goons leave to investigate. If they start to move back toward the boat, be ready to quickly toss a second grenade to distract them again. Quickly approach the front of the boat and activate it to end the mission.

Congratulations! By the time the guards figure out their boss is toast, you'll be long gone.

First Hitman 2 Elusive Target Revealed https://www.gameskinny.com/7070l/first-hitman-2-elusive-target-revealed https://www.gameskinny.com/7070l/first-hitman-2-elusive-target-revealed Wed, 17 Oct 2018 16:25:23 -0400 Zack Palm

The first elusive target for Hitman 2 has just been announced: the Undying Man, played by Sean Bean.

In Hitman 2, Bean plays Mark Faba, a former MI5 agent who went on to became a freelance assassin. Starting on November 20, one week after the game launches, players will have 10 real-life days to kill Faba before he completes a contract at the Global Innovation Race event in Miami.

In the above video, Faba uses refers to three separate weapons -- and IO Interactive invites players to vote for their favorite: a robot flash grenade, a concealable earphone garrot, or a compact pen explosive. Players will receive whichever weapon receives the most votes if they successfully kill The Undying during the event.

You can vote for your favorite item on the Hitman 2 website.

The elusive target mode was first shown in 2016's Hitman. In this mode, players have a limited time to try a single attempt to eliminate a target, receiving a new suite with each successful completion.

You still have time to pre-order Hitman 2 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or your PC, and you can pre-order here. The game launches on November 13.

Head-to-head Competitive Mode Coming to Hitman 2 https://www.gameskinny.com/l13w5/head-to-head-competitive-mode-coming-to-hitman-2 https://www.gameskinny.com/l13w5/head-to-head-competitive-mode-coming-to-hitman-2 Fri, 12 Oct 2018 13:13:11 -0400 Zack Palm

Have you always wanted to see how well you compared to your friends or other players in Hitman without relying on a leaderboard? Soon you'll be able to with the new competitive mode coming to Hitman 2.

Called Ghost Mode, this is where you can gain the ultimate bragging rights in real time.

In Ghost Mode, players compete on the same map seeking out the same target. However, the players are in separate instances. Though both players can see what the other one is doing, they will only be able to see other competitors as black and white Hitman figures.

The goal of the mode is to complete five kills on the map without alerting anyone. If someone witnesses a kill, the point does not count.

When a player confirms a silent kill, their competitor must silently kill their target in 20 seconds or else they do not receive a point. No player starts with any disguises or weapons, and the competitors must find everything they want to use on the map.

Adding another competitive wrinkle to the mode, players can also find ghost crates; this gives both players the chance to get exclusive items before their counterparts.

Lastly, there are also ghost coins players can find throughout the map; they can use these to cause trouble for the competition. When a player flips one of these coins, the sound alerts guards or other witnesses in the competitor's instance. This can prevent a silent kill from taking place or force someone to find an alternative route.

When Hitman 2 releases later this fall, players will only have access to the mode on the Miami map. However, IO Interactive plans to expand Ghost Mode the other maps in the game.

The mode seems like a great idea as the 2016 Hitman game provided an excellent way for hardcore players to compete against each on leaderboards. This takes this concept to the next stage by forcing them to prove whose the true assassin real time.

Hitman 2 releases on November 13 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Make sure to pre-order your copy now and get immediate access to the new Hitman Sniper Assassin mode.

Stay tuned to Gameskinny as we get closer to Hitman 2 and check out the creative ways Agent 47 can take out his targets.

Set to release in just under two months, Hitman 2 just got a brand-new highlight trailer, showing us more of what we can expect from Agent 47's latest contract.

Featuring the Columbia map, one of the new maps set to come to Hitman 2, the latest gameplay trailer is a masterclass in creative assassination, showing some of the truly creative ways players can eliminate their targets.

You can watch the trailer at the top and check out the latest options available to Agent 47. Another trailer revealed earlier this month also shows off some of 47's killer tactics.

Like the trailer before it, this one highlights a specific aspect of Hitman 2's gameplay, namely how Agent 47 is able to use his surroundings as cover to take out his targets.

Players will have the opportunity to kill their marks from the well-covered jungle floor, gas-leaking fuel tanks, or bags of cocaine. 47 can eve crush them using a well-timed shot to the chain of a sharp, suspended piece of art.

If you haven't already, make sure to pre-order Hitman 2 and play it as soon as it releases on November 13 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and IO Interactive want to make sure you're prepared for their upcoming title, Hitman 2. In order to play the game successfully, you have to think like an assassin does. Today, the second installment in the Hitman 2 - How to Hitman series was released, and it's all about the Assassin's Mindset.

The video shows features new to Hitman 2 like utilizing the mini-map to track victims in real time and alert Agent 47 to any potential threats. The picture-in-picture feature helps you keep track of any mistakes, and alerts you to important events as they're happening -- like when you accidentally leave a dead body in plain sight. The trailer also shows off some unique and interesting disguises for Agent 47.

Hitman 2 follows up the critical success Hitman from 2016. The sequel features a co-op Sniper Assassin mode that is playable now to those who pre-order the game. Hitman 2 releases November 13 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Set to release in November, Hitman 2 promises to deliver more of what we loved about the episodic "reboot", Hitman. While the previous title did experience a few hiccups, many fans loved its take on Agent 47 and the world. And from what we know, the sequel will once again send us across the world to take out bad guys and live out our very own James Bond fantasies.

Based on the popularity of the last game -- and the franchise as a whole -- It's safe to assume that much of the core Hitman gameplay will return in Hitman 2. But instead of prognosticating about what may be in the upcoming game, let's take a look at what we do know so far.

Hitman 2's Continued Story

Though the Hitman series has never truly been revered for having the best narrative in gaming, for those of us who are into spy rings, assassins, and subterfuge, the series does a pretty decent job of checking all of those boxes.

2016's Hitman presented an intriguing story where Agent 47 and his ICA handler, Diana Burnwood, find themselves in the web of a shadow client, manipulating the pair throughout the game. From what we know, Hitman 2 looks to continue that story in interesting, and sure-to-be bloody, ways.

Hitman 2's Gameplay

In Hitman 2, there are still going be plenty of garrotes, sniper rifles and silenced pistols to go around. Lavish locales will still provide the exotic backdrops for our assassinations. And we'll still need to stick to stealth instead of Rambo through the various levels if we hope to make it out alive -- and with the best scores.

What we do know about Hitman 2 is mostly tied to the video above, which shows one of the game's missions, which is set in Miami. However, there are a few other things worth pointing out.

Better A.I.

It can be fun killing with clunky A.I., but that fun quickly wears off. So, IO Interactive have spent some time polishing Hitman's artificial intelligence. Though there have only been small details released by IO Interactive and through the game's E3 beta game-play, it does appear that Hitman 2's NPC A.I. has been improved immensely from the first game.

As an example, if you sneak up behind someone in a mirror, they will react accordingly (yes, enemies can now see you in mirrors), which means you'll need to be much more careful if you're gunning for that silent assassin rating.

Crowd Blending

IO is also making use of Hitman 2's big, NPC-filled levels by letting you blend into a crowd if a guard gets too close. Boasting many more NPCs and fuller levels than the previous game, blending in will allow you to keep a low profile and hide from "Enforcers" who would be able to normally spot you normally in a level.

Crowd Blending was first utilized in 2012's Hitman: Absolution but was ditched for the 2016 release.

Similar to the double image mode from Blood Money, in which you could see what was happening off screen, picture-in-picture promises to give more context while you work through your missions, helping you see what specific location(s) you should go to and showing you what happens when you distract a nearby guard.

According to IO, this is not an optional feature and will not be able to be turned off. While a useful feature, I do hope that in the final release, the player has more freedom to turn off features that may seem intrusive.

Where Can I Pre-Order Hitman 2?

Here are all of the places you can get the latest Hitman game:

Sniper Assassin Game Mode (Multiplayer)

Sniper Assassin is a brand new game mode that also serves as a pre-order bonus. It introduces the series' first co-op game-play, and has so far, received positive reviews.

In the mode, you can choose to go it alone and play as Agent 47 or play with a friend, taking the roles of Agent Stone and Agent Knight. The first mission of the mode takes place overlooking a large mansion in which you must take out three targets and all of their bodyguards before time runs out.

There is still an element of stealth gameplay to be had here, and you'll be rewarded more if you can keep things clean by shooting targets into bushes, off ledges, and into places they won't be discovered, but there is also a time-attack feeling that can be either positive or negative depending on your style.

Hitman: 2 will officially release with its Collector's and Gold Editions on November 9, with its Standard and Silver Editions releasing on November 13.

It will be released as a full game with live updates promising elusive targets, escalations, and future DLC. So get ready for more stealth action, explosions, and our favorite cheeky British handler.
