Mighty No. 9 gets Official Trailer and September release date

The Blue Bomber's mighty little brother will be hitting the shelves this Fall.

Mighty No.9 got a new trailer and a release date earlier today. Slated for September 15th, players who pre-order a physical copy will get access to a DLC pack that will let you play as Beck’s companion Ray. Mighty No.9 is a 2D side scrolling action game developed by Keiji Inafune (the creator of the Mega Man franchise), and several other veteran Mega Man developers.

In Mighty No.9 players will take control of Beck, a fighting robot with a human heart, as he tries to put a stop to a deadly virus that has taken control of his robot siblings known as the “Mighty Numbers.” Using Beck’s signature ability to use his enemies weapons against them, players will have to defeat the 8 Mighty Numbers and bring peace to the world.

Mighty No.9 was originally created by Inafune and funded on Kickstarter with an original goal of $900,000. The crowdfunding efforts raised at massive total of $3,875,170. Because of this, the game now has extra levels and DLC, as well as a new animated series that will début sometime in 2016. The game also features a multitude of languages including French and German versions.

The game will be available for PS3, PS4, and PS Vita as well as Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. PlayStation owners will have the option to cross-buy this game (one purchase for all PS systems), however, there has been no news as to whether Microsoft will follow suit.
