Final Fantasy XV Goes Gold, Multiplayer Co-Op DLC Expansion to Follow

It’s not just Kingdom Hearts news being shared at Paris Games week. Final Fantasy XV game director Hajime Tabata announced that the game has officially gone gold, and is entering the final stages of manufacturing ahead of its November 29th release.

Taking the stage during Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XV presentation at Paris Games week, Tabata even went as far as to bring a physical game disc on stage with him.

In addition to this information, more details were given regarding the previously announced post-launch DLC that is in production for the game. Three original episodes that allow you to play as lead character Noctis’ companions; it will follow the game’s release, offering all new experiences and gameplay unique to each character. In order, these will be released as Episode Gladiolus, Episode Ignis, and Episode Prompto.

What’s more, an expansion pack will follow after these episodes titled Comrades. This expansion will introduce a new online multiplayer co-op mode, where four players take full command of the group and fight intense battles. No further details about the nature of this content was given, but it will be available for separate purchase from the other Episodes, as well as included in the Season Pass.

Lastly, a new cinematic trailer titled “Omen” was revealed for Final Fantasy XV, which you can watch above.
