Fire Emblem Heroes 2.0.0 is out and there is a lot of new content in the update. The new content varies from new story content to new game features and changes. This guide has all of the latest for every Fire Emblem summoner.

New Story Map: Book II

One of the biggest features of the new update is the new book in the story maps. The new chapter continues the story of the Fire Emblem Heroes saga with a a whole new story.

This new chapter includes Fjorm, the Princess of Ice who has her own unique and special abilities. She can be added to your party after you complete Chapter 1: Part 5 of Book II. If you are a new player, it would be good to start Book II and obtain Fjorm before starting Book I.

Blessings and Legendary Heroes

The update includes new legendary heroes. These heroes have their own unique element that represents one of the four legendary elements: water, earth, wind, and fire. The first legendary hero you can obtain is Fjorm, which is done through completing Book II.

A legendary hero's elements depends on their blessing. These blessings give heroes their strength and offer stat bonuses depending on their element. Once a blessing is used on an ally it cannot be removed. You can change the blessing, but the previous one will be lost.

New Feature: Weapon Refinery

This new feature requires you to complete Chapter 13, Diabolical Bloodline and the Rite of Blades Intermission Chapter. After both have been completed, Weapon Refinery can be found in Advanced Growth .

Refining weapons costs Arena Medals, Divine Dew, and Refining Stones; however, the perks to refine weapons is worth the cost. Arena Medals and Refining Stones can also come from Events and the Arena. Special effects can now be equipped to weapons to offer a variety of effects such as increasing a character's stats. Weapon skills now have the option to be upgraded to high-level weapon skills.

Other Features
  • Barracks have gotten bigger by 100, which makes the new barracks cap 1,100.
  • Some special cool downs have been lowered by 1, which now makes special skills more accessible for players.
  • High-level skill shave been added to staves
  • Arena scores have been changed to now align with Arena Assault, for Beginner and Intermediate levels.
  • Hero feathers have been added as a My Nintendo reward.

PUBG Test Servers Add Vaulting and Climbing https://www.gameskinny.com/bd9i9/pubg-test-servers-add-vaulting-and-climbing https://www.gameskinny.com/bd9i9/pubg-test-servers-add-vaulting-and-climbing Sat, 28 Oct 2017 23:37:26 -0400 spacechaser

In an entry to their dev blog, the Player Unkown Battlegrounds (PUBG) team announced Friday that the test servers for version PC 1.0 of the game will include a vaulting and climbing system. This much-anticipated feature is new to the game, and can vary depending on the height of the climbable object, the speed at which you approach it, and whether or not a player character can stand on it.

At a panel during PAX Aus, the creator of PUBG, Brendan Greene said, "vaulting will change the game severely." Furthermore, in an interview with GameSpot after the panel, Greene explained that the reason vaulting hadn't been included in the game originally was because he, "thought it was not critically important to the overall experience" of the game.

It's unclear when the PC 1.0 build test servers will go live, only that they will sometime this week. The dev team expects there to be bugs because of the way the vaulting system works, and are hoping to iron out any wrinkles during this test period.

Stay tuned to GameSkinny for more PUBG news!

New Features Coming To Dawn Of War III That Will Shake Up The Franchise https://www.gameskinny.com/3t04v/new-features-coming-to-dawn-of-war-iii-that-will-shake-up-the-franchise https://www.gameskinny.com/3t04v/new-features-coming-to-dawn-of-war-iii-that-will-shake-up-the-franchise Fri, 17 Mar 2017 14:28:35 -0400 Ty Arthur

Poor old Warhammer. It's a license that gets tossed around all willy nilly far, far too often, getting abused and battered and then sent off again to another developer to start the process over.

For every triumph of gaming in the Warhammer 40K universe, there's a crop of failures -- in addition host of weird mobile and social media games that don't really add anything to the universe. Some of the latest entries include the absurdly fast (and still in need of a few quality passes) Space Hulk: Deathwing as well as the much slower, turn-based Sanctus Reach.

Companies that produce truly great 40K content are few and far between these days. Sadly, one of the best iterations was recently yanked away in the gaming world's equivalent of a divorce, with Fantasy Flight no longer handling the Games Workshop tabletop lines, such as Inquisition and Black Crusade, after eight years of pumping out high quality books.

One developer that has managed to maintain a high level of deserved hype in this grimdark universe is Relic, with the much-praised Dawn Of War RTS series. It's weird to think it was almost a year ago the announcement trailer for Dawn Of War III finally arrived, offering a glimpse into what is (presumably) the opening cinematic.

That clip didn't give a good idea of what to expect on the gameplay front however, but now that hours of beta footage and interview clips have come online, we have a much better idea of what to expect from Dawn Of War's impending third iteration.

What's Changing And What's Not

It seems yet again the Imperium of Man, Orks, and Eldar are battling one another for control over a planet with a devastating secret, and while that may be a similar trope, there's a lot of gameplay that's changing.

The previous second main entry in the series -- if you don't count the nearly full game expansions like Dark Crusade and Soul Storm as main entries -- saw a big leap in style. While still unquestionably a real time strategy game, it got rid of most of the base management aspects in favor of squad control and a cover system.

If you didn't care for that change then you're in for a treat, because the more typical RTS elements are now returning. Additionally, there will be the appearance of some standards you've come to expect: space marines will have jetpack abilities to jump up and down terrain, the Eldar will use webway portals to instantly travel from one end of the map to the other, and so on.

Breaking with tradition, there will be only three factions at launch. And while it's possible other races like the Tau or Necrons might show up in DLC, there's nothing confirmed on that front -- so Relic may be following in Starcraft's footsteps and only giving us the big three this time around.

Super Weapon

On the subject of that other behemoth of the RTS style, it was always such a satisfying (or, if you were the other player, terrifying) sound when you heard "nuclear launch detected" in a match of Star Craft.

Get ready to relive that joy on a much more destructive scale with each faction's super weapon! Although taking time to power up and use, these faction-specific attacks can radically change the layout of the map and give you the upper hand.

The Space Marines will have an orbital that is slow moving, but gains in power and can annihilate structures and armies caught in its path. The Orks, being typical brutes without much thought as to the science behind anything, just use tractor beams to rain down meteors from space. It's primitive, but effective. For something a bit more strategic, the sneaky Eldar deploy an eldritch storm that slows units and damages anything caught in the area with electricity.

Target Destroyed

Elites/Super Units

Dawn Of War III features the biggest characters unleashed in the franchise so far, in terms of both power and size. Each faction now has two different tiers of enhanced soldiers above the usual cannon fodder: super units and elites. Both are selected before the match even starts from a pool of different options with varying costs.

These specialized units are absolutely devastating and able to quickly change the tide of combat, but each has a specific weakness or counterpoint so they aren't invincible. Deploying an elite is a good way to get ahead, but doesn't assure victory unless your opponent doesn't know what they are doing. For instance, some can be taken down quickly by close range melee, which means planning ahead to have a bulwark of troops to protect the elite while it gets to a higher ground.

Bringing out your elites requires capturing specific points, and they generate at a slower rate than your typical requisition points -- meaning you'll need to decide whether protecting such points is worth the cost. Should you hold a spot that isn't helpful now but will give you something devastating later, or let it go in favor of rushing your normal units to a more strategically viable location?

In another change to the series, the Doctrines you unlock and equip over time will change both how your elites and your army in general work. All of these haven't been revealed yet, but we do know that one Doctrine will give Space Marine drop pods and aura that heals nearby units.

Super Unit Solaria

Power Cores

Of course there continue to be strategic points to capture across the map as with the previous two games, but now in a variation on the MOBA tower system, there are specific objects you must destroy in a match to win.

To achieve victory, your faction must destroy the opposing side's shield generators, turrets, and finally the power core to end the match in multiplayer mode.

In another nod to the MOBA craze, multiplayer maps feature a strong lane control element, which makes strategic usage of your super weapon and elites absolutely necessary to dominate your opponent.

Ready To Go To War?

Dawn Of War III officially drops on April 27th, and of course arrives in normal editions through all the usual platforms like Steam and Microsoft Windows.

For those with some extra cash burning a hole in the pocket, there's also the absurd $129.99 Collector's Edition featuring a 14 inch tall replica of Gabriel Angelos’s Godsplitter Daemon Hammer.

What version of the game are you planning on getting, and what faction will you lead to victory when Dawn Of War III arrives?

Symmetra Redesign and New Map Coming to Overwatch PTR https://www.gameskinny.com/0y3g7/symmetra-redesign-and-new-map-coming-to-overwatch-ptr https://www.gameskinny.com/0y3g7/symmetra-redesign-and-new-map-coming-to-overwatch-ptr Wed, 23 Nov 2016 00:03:35 -0500 Sonny Go

After a good bit of bumping heads together, it seems that Blizzard has figured out how to make Symmetra -- perhaps one of the least played heroes in Overwatch -- more versatile and fun. The above developer update video has game director Jeff Kaplan detailing Symmetra's new changes, and other future additions to the game.

The Symmetra Redesign

Her current iteration is said to be very situational, especially with her Teleporter ultimate, limiting her effectiveness in affecting change and helping the team in games. Blizzard's new design choices to address Symmetra's issues are interesting, to say the least.

The most major change is that she's getting a second ultimate ability. Alongside her Teleporter, she'll also have the option to build a Shield Generator. Players can choose which to build by pressing the ultimate button repeatedly to toggle between the two.

The Shield Generator grants shields to all allies in a large area of effect, even when not in line of sight. That last detail means the Shield Generator can be hidden behind a wall and it will still provide additional shields.

Due to the addition of the Shield Generator ultimate, Symmetra's Photon Shield ability will now be replaced by Photon Barrier -- a forward-moving barrier to provide additional protection. She can stay at the back and throw a Photon Barrier out, and it'll travel to the front of the team to block damage.

(Imagine your team's Reinhardt getting his shield depleted, but you're able to make the save like Zarya can, but that barrier can cover the whole team.)

She will now carry 6 Sentry Turrets at one time and cooldowns for that ability have been tweaked. Putting up Sentry Turrets should now be less of a chore and can potentially make way for some more shenanigans with her baiting opponents into getting laser-beamed to oblivion.

The last of her changes mentioned is a slightly longer range to her primary fire. This, along with Photon Barrier, makes her safer to play as she doesn't have to get as close to do damage as her current iteration.

Expect this new and improved Symmetra in the Overwatch public test realm soon.

Other Additions

Also coming up, the new map called Oasis, that was previewed in BlizzCon 2016, will also become playable in Overwatch PTR. It's a control map like Lijiang and Ilios, and it's expected to go live in early 2017.

Finally, Blizzard is adding a new feature that can potentially make the solo queue experience more bearable in Overwatch. The "Group Up" button will let players who aren't in-game friends to vote for grouping up and playing succeeding games as a party.

This seems like a great way to make friends in Overwatch, and it could make for a decrease in salt as players will now have a way (other than the "Prefer This Player" option) to keep playing with other players they deem competent or just happen to be fun to play with.

Mafia 3's Alligators Will Always Be Hungry and Hunting https://www.gameskinny.com/d9kst/mafia-3s-alligators-will-always-be-hungry-and-hunting https://www.gameskinny.com/d9kst/mafia-3s-alligators-will-always-be-hungry-and-hunting Thu, 06 Oct 2016 08:29:26 -0400 David Martinez_1224

With Mafia 3 being released this week, fans are excited to see more footage. A different factor that is being featured in this installment is a new way to make evidence disappear. Literally.

IGN just released another video showing us what is basically a montage of alligators eating dead gangsters. Most of the time, the game's protagonist Lincoln Clay is throwing their corpses into the swampy river to dispose of evidence. Or maybe it's just for fun? Either way, this is an interesting feature.

The video begins by showing us why we can NEVER go swimming in the game. A damn alligator will come to you like a kid running to the Christmas tree at light speed. It seems like they were letting Lincoln swim towards the alligator just to show us what would happen. It's not a pretty sight.

The rest of the video shows a litany of brutal alligator killings. They are always on the lookout for floating corpses or unfortunate swimmers, and they always get their dinner. The music IGN added makes the video brutal and hilarious all at once. Mafia fans should watch this, because it will be impossible for them not to get pumped.

Along with this, FIFA 17 will see customizable kits and crests which intend to bring a new level of personalization to your Pro Club Seasons.

Player Growth

The new Player Growth system has completely changed how your players will develop. The new system focuses heavily on your overall Match Rating to encourage the players to use teamwork and co-operation. This new improvement hopes to create a sense of realism while playing, as in real world football, teamwork is a vital aspect.

Match Rating

Once a match is completed you will receive a Match Rating out of 10. Your player will level up at different speeds depending on which position they play. An example of this would be a striker increasing their Shooting more quickly than Defending. Along with this you will now be able to chart each of the individual attributes to help track the development of your player at the end of each match.

Traits

To add a new depth to the Player Growth system, you'll now be able to select from a wide range of Traits to give to your player. The Traits can be purchased with Skill Points, which are earned in-game, to equip specific Traits to your player such as Physical, Defending, Dribbling, Passing, Shooting, Pace and Goalkeeping. The cost of each Trait will vary in price, so think wisely before you spend as they can only be earned by playing League or Cup matches.

Customization

FIFA 17 Pro Clubs will allow you to customize your teams kits and crests!

Kits

Players can now choose from 24 Kit templates that can be customized with a range of different colour options to match their teams personality.

Badges

Players will now be able to add their own personal touch to their teams kit by selecting a Crest Shape and customizing it with primary color of their choice.

What's New in Rocket League's Neo Tokyo Update https://www.gameskinny.com/ufzsb/whats-new-in-rocket-leagues-neo-tokyo-update https://www.gameskinny.com/ufzsb/whats-new-in-rocket-leagues-neo-tokyo-update Thu, 16 Jun 2016 04:47:34 -0400 Captynplanet_8219

Psyonix Studios is releasing "Neo Tokyo", Rocket League's largest update ever, for free on June 20th for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Along with a new arena set in the neon-colored mega-city of Neo Tokyo, the update will feature a slew of new features that are sure to get Rocket League fans excited.

What's Coming In "Neo Tokyo"

Neo Tokyo Arena

The arena which this Rocket League update is named after started off as Underpass, a popular arena in Rocket Labs. After some tweaks to streamline gameplay and a cyberpunk-inspired makeover, Underpass became Neo Tokyo.

Two New Neo Tokyo Inspired Vehicles

"Neo Tokyo's" two new vehicular additions, Masamune and Esper, will bring a bit of anime-inspired aesthetic into Rocket League's expanding list of playable cars. Masamune and Esper will be available for those who purchased the Rocket League Collector's Edition on June 24 in Europe and July 5 in North America. The two cars will be purchasable for everyone else on July 18th for $1.99.

The Re-Release Of Two Exclusive Vehicles

Along with Masamune and Esper, the two limited edition Battle-Cars Aftershock and Marauder will receive a visual update and also be available for purchase on July 18th for those who didn't receive them via the Rocket League Collector's Edition special deal.

The Showroom

"Neo Tokyo" will include a new feature called The Showroom, which allows players to browse all of Rocket League's purchasable content without having to leave the game.

Item Attributes

"Neo Tokyo" brings Painted and Certified Items to Rocket League, allowing players to customize their vehicle's look and keep track of their statistics as they duke it out on the field.

The first painted items that will be available in "Neo Tokyo" will be wheels and toppers. If you find a Painted item, you will receive a randomly chosen color chosen from a large selection of shades. Not all items will have Painted versions, but the list will undoubtedly increase as time goes on.

Certified items allow players to track specific statistics based on which particular item they discovered. The item will have a prefix that tells what stat it tracks -- and as you reach specific thresholds by performing whichever move the item tracks, the name of the item will change. For example, if you find the “Sniper Wizard Hat”, it will eventually become a “Skillful Sniper Wizard Hat" as you score more and more long goals.

Rare Items and New Trade-In System

New Rare and Very-Rare items which are obtainable through online play will become available in "Neo Tokyo". Along with the Rare items, Psyonix has announced that they will be including a Trade-In system with "Neo Tokyo". Rocket League players will finally be able to take five Uncommon or Rare items that they have copies of and trade them in for a single item of the next highest rarity tier.

Eight New Trophies and Achievements
  • Mad Scientist – Play a complete match in 3 different Rocket Labs Arenas (PS4 – Bronze, XB1 – 25 Points)
  • Icing the Cake – In Snow Day, score a goal from your own side of the ice (PS4 – Bronze, XB1 – 25 Points)
  • Left Wing, Right Wing – Win a Snow Day match with both the Blue and Orange Teams (PS4 – Bronze, XB1 – 25 Points)
  • Fast Break – Score at least 2 Dunks in the first minute of a Hoops game (PS4 – Bronze, XB1 – 25 Points)

The Beginning of Season 3 Ranked Play

The "Neo Tokyo" update will bring an end to Rocket League's Season 2 Ranked play and begin Season 3. Special boost animations will be the rewards for Season 2, and the quality of which boost player's receive is based on whether they achieved the rank of Prospect, Challenger, Star, or Champion.

Post-Game Spotlights

A new post-game screen will allow match winners to show off a bit by boosting, jumping, or spinning with their vehicles. Titles will also be awarded after the end of each game to victors. Here are some examples of the titles you can get by winning a match.

  • Aggressor – Most First Touches
  • Benchwarmer – Fewest Ball Hits

Five New Features to Watch For in World of Warcraft: Legion https://www.gameskinny.com/4q4jr/five-new-features-to-watch-for-in-world-of-warcraft-legion https://www.gameskinny.com/4q4jr/five-new-features-to-watch-for-in-world-of-warcraft-legion Wed, 11 May 2016 09:41:12 -0400 minnie89

World of Warcraft's fifth expansion, Legion, will be releasing at the end of August. There are plenty of new features and quality of life changes to look forward to. Here are just five of the new features coming with Legion's release:

1. Choose-Your-Own Leveling Experience

As soon as you finish the starting experience at level 100 in Legion, you will be able to choose a zone to begin leveling in. Usually, zones in new expansions have level requirement ranges that mandate the order that you complete the zones in. In Legion, you can play the zones in whatever order you'd like, and the mobs and quest experience will scale to your level -- even if you are playing with a friend who is higher or lower level than you are.

2. New PVP Honor, Rewards, and Leveling System

PVP players will have more opportunities to advance and earn cosmetic rewards with the new honor system. Each player will be able to rank up to 50, reset and start over to earn more rewards. In addition, separate talents will be added specifically for PVP. Gear will no longer make as much of a difference in PVP, making it easier for 110s at all gear levels to jump into casual PVP.

3. Transmog Wardrobe/Account-Wide Acquisition

The transmogrification system is getting an upgrade that will leave your bags much emptier to store other more important things than that gear you've been farming since Cataclysm for your perfect look. There will be a wardrobe similar to the existing Toy Box where you can view all of the gear looks you've discovered on your character, including any quest gear that you've had the option to choose but long since sold or deleted. Each class will be able to discover new looks for their armor type that will be made available account-wide to all other characters that use that armor type. At launch, legendaries will still be excluded from the wardrobe, but unobtainable ones may be added to it in the future.

4. Artifact Weapons

In Legion, each player in the game will earn an artifact weapon that they will take with them and upgrade throughout the entire expansion. Every spec in the game will have a weapon that is unique to their spec's weapon type, number of weapons, and class fantasy. Throughout the expansion, relics will drop to augment the weapon and help it increase in power, as well as its inherent upgrades via a talent tree on the weapon itself.

5. Class Order Halls

Part of Legion's story includes that both the Horde and the Alliance are too wrapped up with their own issues that they are unable as a faction to mobilize against the Legion, leaving it up to the individual classes from both factions to band together to fight. Each class will have its own order hall location on Azeroth, where both Horde and Alliance of each class will gather together to upgrade their artifact weapons, choose their quest locations, and send out champions of their class to augment their questing experience with missions, treasure locations, etc. Each player will be able to interact with prominent lore figures from their class, such as Valeera Sanguinar, Lady Liadrin, and Highlord Darion Mograine.

Alternative lifestyles
\n

Being a gangster is great, but sometimes you just want to get out there and do something completely different. GTA Online has such a huge and varied world that it would be a waste to keep it only for shooting and driving fast cars.

\n

What this game needs is a whole new system of interaction with NPCs, which would provide a possibility to develop an alternative lifestyle for your character rather than making it strictly a gangster. There are so many ways to make it work and at the same time not to turn it into just another The Sims.

\n

The developers really need to think about all these different ways how to diversify GTA Online and turn it into something really big and enjoyable.

\n

What other ideas do you have? What things would you like to see the most in GTA Online? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.

More fun activities and mini-games
\n

Right now GTA Online has a few excellent mini-games you can play, such as tennis, golf, and arm wrestling. But where’s the rest? The first thing Rockstar needs to bring back is a game of pool by putting a few tables in the clubs and bars that, to be honest, look empty without them.

\n

Another great suggestion is bowling. Can anyone imagine walking into a modern club and not being able to play some bowling? Well, in GTA Online you still can’t do that.

"},{"image":"http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinnyop/6/b/e/6be9452c1804030e2d49c909e37a1eda.jpg","thumb":"http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinnyop/6/b/e/tiny_6be9452c1804030e2d49c909e37a1eda.jpg","type":"slide","id":"99479","description":"
More exploration opportunities
\n

Let’s go back to GTA IV once again. It had a huge number of fun buildings, which you could explore endlessly. Just take a look at the Statue of Happiness that allowed you to get inside and explore its interiors. It had a lot of other cool buildings you could freely roam in and out. And, if you needed to get on top of the roof – no problem, you always had access to the top floor. Unfortunately, GTA Online has almost none of this.

\n

Now you can get to your apartments, shops and restaurants at most. But what about everything else? How about Fleeca banks with fully detailed interiors or that skyscraper in the middle of San Andreas? Why can’t we get inside them yet? All this needs to be addressed.

"},{"image":"http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinnyop/3/1/2/3126011c15925640cd7f26674179e2b7.jpg","thumb":"http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinnyop/3/1/2/tiny_3126011c15925640cd7f26674179e2b7.jpg","type":"slide","id":"99478","description":"
Employment and business
\n

Why can’t we get hired for a job in GTA Online like it was in GTA III? It would be fun to become an ambulance or a taxi driver, a cop or a firefighter. This approach perfectly fits the multiplayer setting of GTA Online, which could result in a lot of unexpected and exciting moments.

\n

Other business opportunities should be available as well, although it is possible that Rockstar deliberately holds off these opportunities in the game in favor of microtransactions. But at times it’s really difficult to make any kind of money in GTA Online, so any small in-game business would be just excellent. And, how about casinos and card games? Community wants them badly.

"},{"image":"http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinnyop/6/7/8/67838be0fd21414842dcb249c19b0e75.jpg","thumb":"http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinnyop/6/7/8/tiny_67838be0fd21414842dcb249c19b0e75.jpg","type":"slide","id":"99477","description":"
Parkour
\n

Games like Assassin’s Creed, Mirror’s Edge and Dying Light prove that parkour is incredibly popular among gamers. You can see some aspects of parkour in GTA V, but it isn't implemented in its full form like in Batman: Arkham series or Sleeping Dogs. Even GTA IV had a much better and flexible parkour system.

\n

Sometimes it’s just so important to have an ability to jump up high walls or quickly move from one building to another using the roofs and ropes between them. The shootouts in GTA Online would be so much fun if characters could utilize parkour to its fullest.

"},{"image":"http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinnyop/2/e/b/2ebaa223de2e4654f2d6effbe195c281.jpg","thumb":"http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinnyop/2/e/b/tiny_2ebaa223de2e4654f2d6effbe195c281.jpg","type":"slide","id":"99476","description":"
Wider range of life simulation options
\n

GTA Online lacks a number of important life simulation features that have almost become classic in the previous games of the series, such as fast food restaurants - Cluckin' Bell and Burger Shot. Many fans were disappointed not to find these in the game. So, they need to come back, including the ability to make your character overweight.

\n

Additionally, there has to be at least one gym that would allow you to get your character back in form again. GTA San Andreas had three of them in the city with a huge number of options, such as boxing ring, weight-lifting machines, treadmills, etc. All this is a huge part of life simulation process that needs to be implemented in GTA Online, too.

"},{"image":"http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinnyop/0/7/5/0757a8b47683b82010d5b99643d09f97.jpg","thumb":"http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinnyop/0/7/5/tiny_0757a8b47683b82010d5b99643d09f97.jpg","type":"slide","id":"99475","description":"
Better wardrobe customization
\n

Now it’s time to look at the clothes of the characters. Most of them are there by default, including haircuts and tattoos. Rockstar has to add some type of institution in San Andreas where players could customize the features of their characters to the smallest details.

\n

It would be nice to be able to customize every single detail of the wardrobe inside specialized fashion stores, and choose the most fitting styles and colors for your particular hero. The current system that exists in the game is extremely limited, so it needs to be improved significantly.

"},{"image":"http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinnyop/5/7/3/57372c6a12592b906cbc6c9dc8f6038d.jpg","thumb":"http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinnyop/5/7/3/tiny_57372c6a12592b906cbc6c9dc8f6038d.jpg","type":"slide","id":"99474","description":"
Vehicle customization
\n

We’re talking about a full-blown editor here. It would be amazing if we could create unique logos and paintjobs in this editor with the possibility to upload and apply ready images from the hard-drive. This would turn a car or a bike into something of your own and distinct from the rest in the game.

\n

This customization feature should not be limited to a few types of vehicles and needs to be available for boats and aircrafts as well. Vehicles with unique paintjobs also could be bought and sold, which would lead to a creation of a whole new market in GTA Online.

"},{"image":"http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinnyop/e/c/e/eced237fa5602995f24ac5224021d589.jpg","thumb":"http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinnyop/e/c/e/tiny_eced237fa5602995f24ac5224021d589.jpg","type":"slide","id":"99473","description":"
Counties filled with action
\n

San Andreas is a great place, but there are also Los Santos and Blaine County that occupy a major part of the map. However, their potential has been misused by Rockstar. There are some beautiful places around like Sandy Shores, Grapeseed, and Paleto Bay, but there is no point in going to these places as they serve no particular purpose in the game.

\n

The developers need to fill these great locations with some action. Right now Los Santos gives you only one reason to visit the area – Mors Mutual Insurance, which is a great place for recovering your vehicles. But that’s basically it and there should definitely be more to the counties in GTA Online than just pretty landscapes.

"},{"image":"http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinnyop/d/7/9/d797f1b9f025498fd3831435ffa44214.jpg","thumb":"http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinnyop/d/7/9/tiny_d797f1b9f025498fd3831435ffa44214.jpg","type":"slide","id":"99472","description":"
Factions
\n

Have you ever wanted to join The Lost Motorcycle Club in GTA Online? What about working together with infamous street gangs, such as the Families or Ballas? It would be incredible if there was a way of creating your own mafia syndicate within the game.

\n

Unfortunately, at this stage in the game all you can do is be a lone street gangster and nothing more. Rockstar needs to create new characters that would act as intermediaries between you and the factions. You could join one of the factions and accomplish a number of unique quests that would increase their trust in you. On the other hand, it would also increase the hostility of other gangs towards you, just like it was in GTA 2.

"},{"image":"http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinnyop/e/6/7/e67e998fd684d7b3dab37895c4e35c5d.jpg","thumb":"http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinnyop/e/6/7/tiny_e67e998fd684d7b3dab37895c4e35c5d.jpg","type":"slide","id":"99471","description":"

Grand Theft Auto V and its multiplayer version – GTA Online are truly great games. The online version is much better than any other co-op gangster game out there, even if slightly more expensive. One of the biggest achievements of Rockstar is their decision to transfer most of the features of a single campaign into the co-operative setting, which is really hard to do successfully.

\n

However, there are still so many things in GTA Online that need to be addressed this year. The team of developers surely works hard, but they need to keep their ears open to the suggestions of their devoted community.

\n

You could say that GTA Online looks just fine in its current state, but think about the potential this game has. It would simply make everyone happier, if it received as much new and exciting content as possible.

\n

So, here are some of the biggest things that community wants to see added to GTA Online in 2016.

New Features and Improvements Headed To Xbox One In April System Update https://www.gameskinny.com/tk3ml/new-features-and-improvements-headed-to-xbox-one-in-april-system-update https://www.gameskinny.com/tk3ml/new-features-and-improvements-headed-to-xbox-one-in-april-system-update Sun, 29 Mar 2015 15:50:54 -0400 Corey Eastin

Hold on to your hats Xbox One users, this party is about to be dedicated. Microsoft has taken the suggestions made by its community to bring its users together. The April system update brings with it many new features that are designed to deal with many of the party issues players have been experiencing with the current system. Each unique chat will now have a dedicated server, which should reduce the amount of NAT issues users have to deal with.

(The new voice message feature coming in the April system update.)

Xbox is still working on a feature called "What's on". The feature will show users what is currently popular on Xbox. Your activity will dictate what appears in a section called "Staff Picks".

The April system update also brings the one feature I know I have been dying for most. Xbox One users will finally be able to send their friends a voice message.

All of these features are available to members of the Xbox One Preview Program. This program is currently invite-only; however, if you have friends who are enrolled in the program then they can send you an invitation. You can read more about this upcoming system update at Xbox Wire

(Tip) Dos and Don'ts of Assassin's Creed: Unity https://www.gameskinny.com/586n8/tip-dos-and-donts-of-assassins-creed-unity https://www.gameskinny.com/586n8/tip-dos-and-donts-of-assassins-creed-unity Fri, 14 Nov 2014 09:03:52 -0500 Chris_Lemus

Ubisoft quickly followed up it’s release one year ago of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag with Unity, another installment of the series that reinvents how gamers control a historically influential assassin. The turnaround time between titles did not limit the new features added. Here is a guide explaining how to navigate France with the new added abilities.

Do: Get use to the last known location feature

Use the A.I. against itself. Plan the route to use in the mission before navigating throughout the map. If you are likely to get caught, or do get noticed, the silhouette is a good indicator for where to change direction or hide. This turns the intention of stealthy defense in to a counterattack offense.

Do not: Play through side missions as pre-assassin Arno

Although it may seem wise to earn money by doing side missions, the activities are harder without the abilities and agility of post-assassin Arno. This is especially noticeable to those who have played previous titles. Not only will the side missions be more enjoyable when dawning the assassin's suit, but experience and creed points can also be collected in addition to money.

Do: Go vertical

Open rooms and windows are not an added feature to Unity that appears sparingly. The only escape or chase route is no longer limited to ledges, rooftops, streets, and hiding spots. Crawling through open windows helps activate the last known location feature and shortens the time needed to cross a building. Open rooms also offer opportunities to reach the objective in a stealthy way.

Do not: Go parallel

Unity takes place roughly 60 years after Black Flag. During that time, advancements have taken place in warfare that make guns more reliable and common. Not only will riflemen take positions in rooftops and balconies across France, but sword-wielding guards will also carry pistols.

Evading guards in a straight line will likely result in lining up in their crosshairs. The chance to get shot will also increase with the amount of enemies Arno alerts at one time, and they will not wait for close quarters combat to end before shooting (sometimes from multiple shooters).

Do: Be honest with yourself

Previous Assassin's Creed titles have focused on different styles of play including combo attacking, gadget use, and stealth. Unity caters to the gamer instead of the features. Combined with a vast and dynamic map, this leaves every opportunity for players to tailor Arno to their style. Gamers who prefer battling opponents should utilize the revamped customization to focus outfits that increase health and heavy weapons, while those who prefer sneaking around should stick to lighter weapons and stealthy outfits.

Do not: Assume the controls are the same

While the character's movement in the Assassin's Creed series is smooth and liberating, ideas Ubisoft stayed with in Unity, the few controls they added add detail to motion without impeding  navigation. Learning to use the L2 or left trigger on console versions will streamline crawling through windows and using the cover option when passing undetected in small areas. Practicing different variations of drops could also mean the difference between evasion or death in a game where strategy in important.

The common denominator between new controls is the momentum-based physics incorporated into Unity. If players do not build up enough momentum, they will not have enough power to make the jumps necessary to move. Without knowing how to correctly sustain momentum, enemies could regain the distance lost to Arno during a chase.

T-Bone Becomes Subject of Watch Dogs DLC https://www.gameskinny.com/u4xpm/t-bone-becomes-subject-of-watch-dogs-dlc https://www.gameskinny.com/u4xpm/t-bone-becomes-subject-of-watch-dogs-dlc Thu, 04 Sep 2014 14:09:04 -0400 Chris_Lemus

Players will now be able to see Watch Dogs through a new set of eyes, as the latest DLC features a new playable character hacking through the streets of Chicago.

Ubisoft announced that Raymond “T-Bone” Kennedy will be playable in Bad Blood, which features side activities that can be played cooperatively and 10 new single player missions spread across new locations in Chicago.
In the original title, T-Bone assisted with Aiden Pearce’s hacking needs. Now, T-Bone will have his own sidekick named Eugene, a small remote-controlled car that allows players to access place unreachable by the main character. Eugene will have the ability to roll around carrying weapons and hacking devices to use against enemies.

A new take on security cameras will also be featured in Bad Blood. Some surveillance devices will be armed. If hacked, players can turn innocent eyes into a deadly tool to complete missions.

Bad Blood will be available to Watch Dogs’ season pass holders on Sept. 23 and everyone else on Sept. 30.

New Nintendo 3DS and 3DSXL Announced https://www.gameskinny.com/ca9ge/new-nintendo-3ds-and-3dsxl-announced https://www.gameskinny.com/ca9ge/new-nintendo-3ds-and-3dsxl-announced Fri, 29 Aug 2014 04:30:12 -0400 Angelina Bonilla

The latest Nintendo Direct announced that two new models of the 3DS is on the way and there will be a few changes coming with them. The new models are going to make 3D viewing easier a widened view in stereoscopic 3D possibly reducing the strain that 3D often has on players' eyes.

The update will also have a more powerful CPU, which hopefully translates into smoother gameplay. Other than a few aesthetic changes like a few buttons being slightly shifted around, there is also a new analog stick, similar to the GameCube’s C-Stick. The new models will also be compatible with Nintendo’s upcoming Amiibo system and the new tech will allow users to synchronize 3DS data with their PCs.

The upgraded version of the 3DS has interchangeable faceplate adding a whole new level of customization to your 3DS finally licensed by Nintendo. It still probably won’t be as cheap as DIY customization, but it is nice that Nintendo is trying to add an official layer of user customization.

The system will be released in Japan for 16,000 yen for the 3DS and 18,000 yen for the 3DS XL, which translates to $160 and $180 USD respectively.

Microsoft Announces Update Details For Xbox One https://www.gameskinny.com/f0b50/microsoft-announces-update-details-for-xbox-one https://www.gameskinny.com/f0b50/microsoft-announces-update-details-for-xbox-one Wed, 05 Feb 2014 07:50:47 -0500 Venisia Gonzalez

Microsoft has shared the details for their upcoming updates for the Xbox One. The updates are scheduled for Tuesday, February 11th and Tuesday, March 4th.

Tuesday, February 11th Update Details:

  • Ability to see and manage storage space.
  • Controller battery power indicator will be viewable on the home screen.
  • Ability to use a USB keyboard.
  • Allow users to more easily manage their download queue to control the order of their install line-up.

Tuesday, March 4th Update Details:

  • New features and improvements to the Xbox One Party and Multiplayer systems in preparation for the Titanfall launch on March 11th.
This is good news for Xbox One users.

It's been quite frustrating not being able to see and manage your storage space like you can on the Xbox 360. The ability to see your battery life is helpful, and the use of a USB keyboard for messaging will make things a lot easier until they come up with a messenger pad.

The new features and improvements to the party and multiplayer systems haven't been explained yet, but I hope they make it easier than it is now. Having to turn party chat on every time you go into or set-up a party is a bit tiring.

The Sims 4 Promises Low-End System Support https://www.gameskinny.com/y1sp6/the-sims-4-promises-low-end-system-support https://www.gameskinny.com/y1sp6/the-sims-4-promises-low-end-system-support Sun, 25 Aug 2013 21:38:05 -0400 Smoky Grey

The Sims is a beloved franchise, with millions of copies sold it has made its mark as the best-selling franchise in PC history. Sadly all those millions of fans do not have a super high-end PC to play the game on.

Maxis has recognized this problem and made their best effort to make The Sims 4 play on a wide range of systems. Producer Ryan Vaughn had a few words to say on this topic.

"We're really excited to say that players on lower end machines are going to have a much better experience on The Sims 4 than they did with The Sims 3. Right now we're doing a lot of work to optimize the game's performance, cut down on loading screens, and make sure everything still looks as beautiful, the Sims feel as vibrant, and that your gameplay is just as much fun regardless of what spec you're playing on,"

The Sims 4 also got a new trailer last week at Gamescom. This new trailer showcases some of the major changes that Maxis has made. We no longer have to use the create-a-sim sliders from the past games, we can now just grab our sim's butt and make it as big as we want. The thing that amazed me the most was the ability to pick up a room in your house and move it wherever you want, that is something we have needed for a while.

The addition of emotional states is a brand new feature to The Sims. Now your sims have a range of emotions just waiting for you to toy with. In the video we see how the actions of one sim can have an impact on another when one sim uses a voodoo doll to make another Sim angry. The objects and decor around your house can even affect your sim's emotions.

Overall The Sims 4 looks amazing. I can't wait to start toying with people's emotions and making voodoo dolls of the entire neighborhood. The Sims 4 has no official release date yet, all we know is it is set to release sometime in early 2014.
