The Dark Below, the first expansion for Destiny, will be released December 9. As of right now, Bungie is in the midst of preparations for Destiny to ready the world for the new content, releasing a massive 1.0.3 update a few days ago.
The Dark Below starts with a warning from Eris, a new character: the Hive wants to summon the god Crota to destroy the Earth. This first and latest DLC promises new weapons, armor, and gear, as well as new quests, missions, and three new arenas for players to compete in. There will also be a new six person raid and a new strike as a part of this latest bid to save the Earth from its enemies.
