Baldur’s Gate 3: How to Get the Sacred Star

Find the Sacred Star from a hidden vendor in Baldur's Gate 3!

When it comes to Very Rare items, the Sacred Star might be the easiest to get. In fact, you can pick it up almost immediately after getting into Lower City during Act 3. Here’s how to get the Sacred Star in Baldur’s Gate 3.

The Sacred Star lets you inflict a turn of Radiating Orb on a hit, and Undead Creatures have a chance to be Turned when hit by the weapon.

Find Stormshore Tabernacle

First, enter Baldur’s Gate’s Lower City. You pop in near the Basilisk Gate Waypoint. And if you keep going to the west, you end up at Stormshore Tabernacle. While it’s a place of worship with statues of various gods, it’s also a shop that isn’t marked with a little money bag on your minimap.

Speak with Vicar Humbletoes

Near the altar in the main room, you see Vicar Humbletoes. Speak with him and ask if holy items are for sale. He says they are and opens his shop screen. From there, you can purchase the Sacred Star. Or multiple other items like gloves that give you a free use of Revivify. The Sacred Star only costs 770 gold. If you’ve been looting chests and bodies throughout the first two acts, this shouldn’t be an issue to afford. It’s worth it for a quick damage boost, especially if you need new weapons.

And that’s how to get the Sacred Star in Baldur’s Gate 3. Overall, the hardest part of finding it is learning that the Vicar also acts as a merchant. There’s no indication that he would sell anything. However, there’s also no reason to believe that a place of worship would have a merchant, so it’s easy to miss his items.
