There are 12 weapons to be unlocked in Bayonetta 3 as you progress through the game. Most weapons can be equipped only by Bayonetta, but there are a few others that belong to Viola and Jeanne.

Weapon #1: Colour My World

  • Type: Long Ranged.

The four colored pistols are acquired automatically after completing Verse #1 of the Prologue.

Weapon #2: G-Pillar

  • Type: Long Ranged/Melee.

During Chapter 1: Scrambling for Answers, Bayonetta summons Gates of Hell, which is a Rodin’s shop. Rodin will be surprised by her abilities and will grant her the G-Pillar.

Weapon #3: Ignis Araneae Yo-Yo

  • Type: Long Ranged.

When players complete Chapter 3: A Sinking Feeling, this set of flying yo-yo blades is unlocked automatically.

Weapon #4: Mab Dachi

  • Type: Melee.

In Chapter 5: Hot Pursuit players can play as Viola. This odachi sword is unlocked automatically while playing as Viola.

  • Type: Long Ranged.

A set of magical darts are unlocked automatically alongside Mab Dachi, when players use Viola character during Chapter 5: Hot Pursuit.

Weapon #6: Dead End Express

  • Type: Melee.

After completing Chapter 6: Off the Rails, players automatically obtain this melee weapon that consists of multiple chainsaws.

Weapon #7: Simoon

  • Type: Long Ranged.

One of the most elegant new weapons that consits of a set of flying bladed fans can be unlocked after completing Chapter 9: Learning to Fly.

Weapon #8: Ribbit Libido-BZ55

  • Type: Melee.

If players want to unlock this weaponized microphone stand that functions like a spear, then they need to complete Chapter 10: Cover of Night.

Weapon #9: Tartarus

  • Type: Melee.

This pair of hand weapons that can also serve as shields for Bayonetta are automatically unlocked after completing Chapter 11: A Familiar Dance.

Weapon #10: Abracadabra

  • Type: Magical/Ranged.

A simple hat and a wand comprise a powerful magical weapon that shoots out projectiles. It can be unlocked by completing Chapter 12: The Edge of Madness.

Weapon #11: Cruel Altea

  • Type: Medium Ranged.

This pair of greaves and gauntlets can be used by both Bayonetta and Jeanne. You will be able to unlock it after completing Chapter 14: The Single Truth.

Weapon #12: Cassiopeia

  • Type: Long Ranged.

Imagine a crossbow but with a chained anchor instead of an arrow, that’s Cassiopeia. You can unlock this last weapon after completing Phenomenal Remnant #14 right after Chapter 14.
