Cyberpunk 2077: How to Get Nibbles the Pet Cat

In the world of Cyberpunk 2077, climate change and the horrid pollution in and around Night City have driven out all but the hardiest, most tenacious creatures: cats. You can find hairless cats out in the world, but you can make one of them, Nibbles, your pet in your megabuilding apartment. Sadly, Nibbles never does more than be a cat, taking up space, and being a general nuisance, but hey, they’re yours. Better company than Johnny, anyway. Here’s how to get Nibbles as your pet cat in Cyberpunk 2077.

How to Make Nibbles Your Pet Cat in Cyberpunk 2077

Adding Nibbles to your shortlist of best friends forever is a simple process. There are five steps, all of them easy and cost-efficient.

• Buy cat food. Head to almost any Food vendor in Night City, and you can buy some. It only costs five eurodollars, and you only need one unit of it, but I bought all six because kitty. Go to either the Jig Jig Street or Kabuki vendors for cat food that’s close to V’s apartment.

• Go to a bowl near V’s apartment door. If you’re looking at V’s apartment door, turn right and follow the hallway around until you see a yellow hand marker on your HUD near a ceramic bowl next to the wall. Go up to the bowl and add food when prompted.

• Wait 12 hours or so. Nibbles needs time to sniff out the food you left for them. You can leave the hallway and either sleep in V’s apartment or simply wait 12 hours or so, then return to the bowl to see Nibbles doing their thing. Nibbling, that is.

• Return to the bowl and pick up Nibbles. After waiting half a day or so, go to Nibbles as they eat and select Pick Up when the prompt appears.

After picking Nibbles up, they’ll take up residence in the laundry basket near V’s bed. Johnny Silverhand himself will be one of the first people to appreciate that you now have a pet in Night City, of all places. As for Nibbles, they’re a cat. They meow and think of you as a can opener with legs. Get over it. You’ll love them for it, though.
