You can now get weaponized vehicles in Cyberpunk 2077. Update 2.0, which released alongside the Phantom Liberty expansion, has greatly overhauled the game’s mechanics. These changes include cars and trucks with various types of armaments, including machine guns and missile launcher. Our guide discusses how to get weaponized vehicles as you play through the campaign.

How to Get Weaponized Vehicles in Cyberpunk 2077

You can get weaponized vehicles in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty by purchasing them from the Autofixer website. These can be accessed via terminals, but you may also select the Autofixer option on the map’s labels to make the icons appear. Moreover, some weaponized vehicles can also be obtained for free, such as the Type-66 Hoon.

It also bears mentioning that vehicles come with these armaments already mounted. As of the time of this writing, there’s no modification system where you customize a car or truck to equip different parts.

How to Unlock More Weaponized Vehicles

You can unlock more Cyberpunk 2077 weaponized vehicles by completing gigs from Muamar, also known as El Capitan. New options will become available as you finish additional side quests. Below, I’ve listed some examples of vehicles that can be yours, as well as the armaments that they carry:

  • Archer
    • Quartz Specter: Machine guns
    • Quartz Sidewinder: Machine guns and missile launcher
  • Quadra
    • Type-66 Javelina: Machine guns
    • Type-66 Wingate: Machine guns
  • Mizutani
    • Shion Coyote: Machine guns
    • Shion Samum: Machine guns and missile launcher
  • Thorton
    • Colby Little Mule: Machine guns
    • Galena Gecko: Machine guns
    • Colby Vulture: Machine guns and missile launcher
    • Galena Locust: Machine guns and missile launcher
  • Mahir
    • Supron Trailbruiser: Machine guns and missile launcher
  • Other
    • Hellhound: Machine guns and missile launcher

Among these options, I recommend the aforementioned Type-66 Hoon, since it’s free. I also recommend the Hellhound, which costs 150,000 credits. The reason I like the latter is because it doesn’t require the completion of Muamar’s gigs. As such, I was able to purchase it since I had enough cash to spare.

How to Use Weaponized Vehicles

Once you own a weaponized vehicle, simply hold the “V” key and select it to make it appear near your location. The controls are similar to normal driving or vehicular combat. However, if there are two types of weapons, you can switch between these by pressing the Alt key (Y button on Xbox controllers, Triangle on PlayStation controllers). This is expected since you only have a few rockets, and they take a while to recharge.

That’s it: that’s everything you need to know about how to get weaponized vehicles in Cyberpunk 2077. For other tips and strategies, you can check out our PL guides hub.
