Diablo 4: How to Get the Glacial Aspect

If you’re playing a Blizzard based Sorcerer in Diablo 4, Glacial Aspect is a must have for your build. Enhancing your storm, it’s an offensive Aspect made to increase damage against Frozen enemies. Getting it, however, is a bit more tricky than other aspects. Here’s how to get the Glacial Aspect in D4.

How to Get a Glacial Aspect in Diablo 4

Glacial Aspect is a legendary aspect specifically for the Sorcerer class. When casting Blizzard it does the following:

•  Periodically spawn exploding Ice Spikes that deal X damage.
  • Your Ice Spikes deal % increased damage to Frozen enemies.

You’ll be channeling Elsa in no time with this Aspect. But now you need to get it. Unlike other Aspects that you can get through your Codex of Power after completing a dungeon for the first time, Glacial Aspect is only obtained by extracting it from a Legendary item that has it.

You’ll need to find a Legendary Item with Glacial Aspect. Farming Nightmare Dungeons, Helltides and areas with high level mobs that you can deal with easily, will make grinding for a Legendary easier. As this is a Sorcerer exclusive Aspect, it’ll show up more on Sorcerer restricted items more frequently. You’ll find it on the following items:

• Amulets
• Gloves
• Rings
• Weapons

If you don’t want to duke it out in the Helltides or delve into Nightmare Dungeons, you can try out the Purveyor of Curiosities. It’s a gamble whether you’ll get a Legendary or not whenever you make a purchase, but it’s an easy way to obtain the Glacial Aspect, especially if your Murmuring Obols total is high. I prefer to clear out my obols before heading into a dungeon, just so I can get everything done all at once versus traveling somewhere else.

Once you’ve got a Legendary with Glacial Aspect, head to the nearest Occultist. They’ll remove the Aspect, for a fee and the destruction of the item. That’ll get you an imprintable Aspect you can use on an item in your inventory. Beware though, once imprinted you can’t extract that Aspect again. You’ll need to find another Legendary item with Glacial Aspect if you want to imprint a new item with it.

That’s how to obtain Glacial Aspect in Diablo 4. As a buff to Blizzard, it’s almost necessary for any Sorcerer running that build.
