The basic premise of Monopoly has caused plenty of rows between friends and family; I’ve been there. But Monopoly GO takes things to another different level, with other players actively attacking you and taking your money. Ok, it’s not so different, but believe me: it feels like it!

Since you can add friends so easily, you may find yourself frustrated with a few of them, especially if they’re not in your core friends group. Regardless of why you’ve added them, you can’t block anyone in Monopoly Go. But this doesn’t mean you’re stuck with them on your friendslist forever.

How to Unfriend and Remove Someone from Your Monopoly Go Friendslist

The next best thing to blocking someone in Monopoly GO is completely removing them from your freindslist. Since there’s no messaging aspect to the game, you’ll never have to interact with them once they’re removed (unless you know them in real life). So, if you want to “block” someone or just reduce the amount of friends you have in the game, here’s a quick rundown. 

• To remove a friend click on the “FRIENDS” option located at the bottom right of the screen.
• Click Leaderboard.
• Select friends.
• This will show everyone you have added in Monopoly Go.
• Click on the person you want to delete/remove/unfriend.
• A red “Remove” button will appear.
• Click on that to remove them. 

However, since you can’t block someone in the game, they can still send you a friend request after you remove them. The good thing is you don’t have to accept them, so they’re essentially blocked, and you can go back to enjoying your game of Monopoly.
