How to Find Loot Llamas in LEGO Fortnite

Fortnite LEGO survival mode brings a crafting adventure with new and familiar features. The iconic Loot Llamas are one of the many from the battle royale portion I’ve stumbled across in the game mode — and they’re worth finding. Here’s how.

Where are Loot Llamas in LEGO Fortnite?

Loot Llamas are one of the most recognizable symbols of Fortnite, and the LEGO mode has brought the treasure pinatas to the survival crafting adventure. However, finding one proves tricky. Much like the Battle Royale mode, it can feel like mission impossible trying to stumble upon a Llama, just like it does for Rollers.

The best way to find their locations is to look out for the twinkling, glowing fairies that will randomly spawn and lead you to a Loot Llama or treasure chest. In my experience, it’s random whether you’ll find a wooly creature or a metal box of goodies, but both are worth finding.

I’ve also come across a Loot Llama by happenstance, so a loot fairy isn’t required to find a Llama. However, when I did follow a fairy to a Llama, it was a double Llama. Whether this was a lucky in-game bug remains a mystery, and I reaped the rewards of double the loot regardless.

What Loot do Loot Llamas Drop?

The Loot Llamas will drop rare loot, some of which I don’t even have a use for yet. I’ve received things like Eggs, Energy Drinks, and other consumables, while I know some colleagues have received tools like Shovels.

When do Shining Fairies Appear?

I’ve come across one of these loot fairies on more than one occasion, and they usually appear after destroying an object or harvesting a forageable. Once they spawn, you’ll need to stay close and follow their trail. They’ll stop moving if you get too far away from them, and they don’t spawn in the same place twice. Notably, I usually come across some enemies on the way to the treasure. So, I recommend you have your sword ready to go or at least a companion with you.
