As you progress through LEGO Fortnite, you’ll quickly realize that your tools won’t be sufficient enough. Luckily, you can get better versions as you gain more materials. These will let you be more efficient and gather better resources. Here’s how to upgrade tools in LEGO Fortnite.
How to Get Better Tools in LEGO Fortnite
Whether you want a better Forest Axe or Pickaxe, you’ll need different Crafting Benches. To upgrade your tools, you’ll need to upgrade your Crafting Bench first. Each tool will require a different crafting recipe with each new version. Some of these materials are rare, so it can take you a while to find them. In particular, Knootroot is one of the hardest to find.
How Upgrading Your Bench Works
To upgrade your bench, all you have to do is select it as you normally would. On the top of the menu, you’ll see a tab that says “Bench Upgrade”. It will show you the materials you need, and if you have them, you can upgrade. When you’re upgrading your tools, it will also show you the recipe and the materials needed.
To get the second upgrade, the Rare Crafting Bench, you’ll need:
- Sand Shell x 3
- Sand Claw x 6
- Knootroot Rod x 12
- Marble Slab x 15
To the the third upgrade, Epic Crafting Bench, you’ll need:
- Brute Scale x 1
- Copper Bars x 15
- Obsidian Slab x 25
After you upgrade your Crafting Bench, you’ll unlock new recipes for stronger tools and weapons. For example, the Uncommon Forest Axe becomes available with the Uncommon Bench. You’ll be able to upgrade your Forest Axe, Pickaxe, Sword, and Crossbow with each new bench. Each will progress as Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Epic.
