LEGO and Fortnite have finally collided with the new game mode added with Chapter 5 Season 1. Everything’s been a bit crazy with Epic’s battle royale as of late, so you might not be sure it’ll stay around forever. Let’s dig into whether LEGO Fortnite is permanent.
Is LEGO Fortnite Permanent, or Will It Be Leaving After This Chapter?
Epic Games partnered with LEGO in 2022, and it’s most likely Epic would have stated with its announcement if LEGO Fortnite was temporary to pull flavor-of-the-month players back to the game. So it’s very likely that LEGO Fortnite will be permanent, and thank goodness for that.
The new game mode is a far cry from what we’ve seen in Fortnite before. LEGO Fortnite is meant to be a full-on survival crafting game in itself, hoping to compete with Minecraft. Whether it will be deep and engaging enough to actually do so is yet to be seen, but it’s hard to imagine a partnership with Epic and LEGO not being stellar. There hasn’t been a single bad LEGO game yet, with the IP having high quality standards. We’ll find out soon enough after hopping into it ourselves!
It’s very likely that the new LEGO mode in Fortnite will be a permanent addition to the game despite Epic’s penchant for temporary modes and goodies, but we’ll have to wait for an official announcement down the line. It’s unlikely LEGO would agree to timed mode, considering the exclusionary nature of timed content and how much was invested in this massive collab. For now, all we can tell is that it’s out. And it has some really great LEGO skins that I can’t wait to nab.
Have heart for now that it seems like LEGO Fortnite is permanent, considering the lack of statement from Epic Games and the depth of the mode. There’s a lot to look forward to in LEGO Fortnite, particularly if you’re tired of the survival crafting loop in Minecraft. Check out some of our other Fortnite guides here on GameSkinny.
