Lords of the Fallen: How to Get Antediluvian Chisel for the Umbral Lamp

In Lords of the Fallen, you’ll often rely on a device known as the Umbral Lamp. This is used to switch to the Umbral Realm, pull various objects to receive loot, or even flay the souls of your enemies. Still, there’s a material that you can obtain to further upgrade your trusty tool. Our guide discusses how to upgrade the Umbral Lamp by using Antediluvian Chisel.

How to Upgrade the Umbral Lamp using Antediluvian Chisel in Lords of the Fallen

To upgrade the Umbral Lamp, you need to use the extremely rare Antediluvian Chisel material. In my case, I’ve only found a couple of these during my playthrough. If you do manage to obtain one, you need to talk to Molhu, a vendor NPC in the Skyrest hub. You’ll only see him if you switch to the Umbral Realm.

Each Umbral Lamp upgrade increases the number of Soulflay charges, so you can pull enemy targets with ease. Moreover, your device gains additional Umbral Eye sockets, which confer passive buffs and additional effects.

Where to Find the Antediluvian Chisel in Lower Calrath

The first Antediluvian Chisel that I acquired was in Lower Calrath, a village that’s been engulfed in flames. Once you’ve made it past the vestige waypoint in the inn, you’ll eventually reach a plaza with a burning tree in the center. Pull the loot from the totem and pick it up to gain an Antediluvian Chisel. Just watch out because this place is also guarded by a Ruiner and Mendacious Visage.

Where to Find the Antediluvian Chisel in Fief of the Chill Curse

I found another Antediluvian Chisel in the Fief of the Chill Curse zone much later in the campaign. After unlocking the bell door near the Windmill vestige point, I had to fight a Sinner boss named Kinrangr Guardian Folard.

Once the boss was defeated, I switched to the Umbral Realm and I received a shocking surprise: a Mendacious Visage elite just waiting in the same area. Needless to say, I had to quickly grab the item before making a run for it.
