The solution for the Flipping Out riddle is to repeatedly switch your stance during the fight, with our recommendation being to do it a minimum of 30 times. I’ve seen a few different numbers floating around, but that was what got it to work for me. Don’t be afraid to go overboard or add in a few extras during the “Finish Them” screen if you’re worried that you didn’t do enough.

Changing your stance that many times in the middle of a fight can be challenging enough. To do it without being interrupted, we suggest picking a fighter who can zone or stall the enemy. Liu Kang and Sub-Zero are especially ideal. If you’re trying to grind up a character’s rank, you can work some stance changes in quickly after an uppercut.

Make sure to use your kameo fighters as well. Frost and Cyrax are great picks to keep your opponent occupied while you flip your stance over and over again.

By default, the button to flip your stance will be L2 on a PlayStation controller and LT on an Xbox controller. It doesn’t take long to complete the action, so you can actually get these out of the way quickly as long as you aren’t uninterrupted.

With that, you can solve the Flipping Out Klue in Mortal Kombat 1. You’ll know if you did it correctly when you return to the board and see the nearby debris clear. For other tips and klue answers, check out our MK1 guides page.
