The Maji Market Event in Palia

Maji Market is Palia’s first event and will run until September 26, 2023. It takes place between 6 p.m. and 3 a.m. Palian time at the newly unveiled Kilima Fairgrounds. You can find the area in the southeast part of the map, below Whispering Banks.

When you first load into the game during the event, you’ll receive The Maji Market quest by reading a letter from Kenli in the mail. Since he primarily organized the event, he sent out all the invites. Heading to the market while it’s open completes the quest.

Maji Market Event Accomplishments

Listed as your Stamp Cards under the new Event tab, these are the rewards for completing different activities during the Maji Market. For the two food related accomplishments, you can eat the items at any time since you can only purchase them when the market is open. To learn the recipes associated with those accomplishments, you need to eat the item given as a reward.

As a note, it appears the card for Chapaa Champions Party is duplicated in the Stamp Cards section. I’m unsure if this is a glitch or intended but you can earn those rewards twice.

Chapaa Chase

Starting at 12:15 after the fireworks display, Chapaa will start appearing in various grassy areas around the upper level of the market. You want to catch one at a time and bring it to the pen to have it count towards the total. You don’t need to hop in the pen, just touching the fencing works.

The key to earning many of the rewards that comes from playing Chapaa Chase is to play in a party. Many people are grouping up right before the start of the mini-game so you can qualify for the most rewards possible. However, the amount of tickets you earn from playing is based solely on the number of Chapaas you return.

This feature will be getting a tweak in the future. After community commentary, the Singularity 6 team noted on Discord that the game would be undergoing some changes. What these are remain to be seen.
