There’s plenty new to have fun with in the Resident Evil 4 remake and plenty new to unlock if you’ve got the skill and patience to pull it off. Aside from full costume unlocks, there’s a whole list of unlockable accessories to pick up, and not all of them are just for looks.

Resident Evil 4 Unlockable Accessories

There are unlockable outfits for both Leon and Ashley, but our focus here is on the extended list of accessories you can unlock in the Resident Evil 4 Remake. Some of them can be unlocked just by clearing the RE4 Remake on any difficulty, but some require you clear certain difficulties with particularly high ranks. You may get these going after some of the game’s trophies and achievements

Unlockable Accessories with Effects

  • Cat Ears — Clear the game on Professional difficulty with an S+ rank.
    • Grants infinite ammo for every gun except the Rocket Launcher.
  • Chicken Hat — Clear RE4 Remake on Hardcore difficulty with an S+ rank.
    • Decreases incoming damage taken.
  • Deer Antlers — Clear the game on Standard difficulty with an S+ rank.
    • Increases knife damage.
  • Gas Mask — Clear the game on Professional difficulty.
    • Enables aim assist for every difficulty.
  • Wolf Tail — Clear the Resident Evil 4 Remake on Assisted difficulty with an S+ rank
    • Increases melee damage.

General Unlockable Accessories

These accessories are all for Leon. There is one accessory for Ashley, noted just below this list.

  • Eye Patch — Clear the game.
  • Face Guard — Clear the game.
  • Flight Cap — Clear the game.
  • Flight Helmet — Clear the game on Hardcore or higher difficulty.
  • Foam Mask — Clear the game.
  • Glasses (Lexington) — Clear the game.
  • Glasses (Round) — Clear the game on Hardcore or higher.
  • Glasses (Square) — Clear the game on Standard or higher with an A rank.
  • Iron Helmet — Clear the game on Standard or higher with an A rank.
  • Knitted Hat — Clear the game on Standard or higher with an A rank.
  • Skull Mask — Clear the game.
  • Sunglasses (Round) — Clear the game.
  • Sunglasses (Square) — Clear the game.
  • Surgical Mask — Clear the game on Hardcore or higher.

The single unlockable accessory for Ashley is:

  • Sunglasses (Cat Eye) — Clear the game.

With that, you have a better idea of which difficulties and ranks you need to get for accessories to either look stylish (ish?) or to actually serve a function.
