It’s not just a friend who needs a favor but the entire planet’s populace, it seems. This mission for your companion Jae includes a bit of back and forth to get two seals. Here’s how to complete Mercatum Tabula Officiale in Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader.

How to Complete Mercatum Tabula Officiale in Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader

You can complete Mercatum Tabula Officiale in Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader by certifying the two Worn Seals needed by Jae. During Act 2, bring Jae when you visit the Administratum Office on the planet of Dargonus. Talk to the Master of Seals to experience the sheer drudgery of bureaucracy here, and sign the documents presented as part of the dialogue.

Similar to other companion quests in Rogue Trader, you’ll have to be nice to your companion, as choosing a dialogue option that may end the quest prematurely will lead to failure. Beyond that, you can find The Worn Seals Janus and Dargonus. You then need to have the documentation certified after a lengthy segment where you solve the problems of citizens.

Where to Find the First Worn Seal on Janus

You can find the Worn Seal on Janus by talking to Atilius Quint in the main courtyard. There are several dialogue responses, some of which use the Dogmatic, Iconoclast, and Persuasion options, as well as various combinations, such as the Iconoclast-Persuasion combination, which is the one I chose to continue with the quest and get the Worn Seal.

Where to Find the Second Worn Seal on Dargonus

The next step in the Mercatum Tabula Officiale quest isn’t as straightforward as it seems. Travel to the von Valancius palace on Dargonus and talk to Clementia Werserian. You’ll find out that the seal had been lost somewhere in one of three locations: Forgotten Twins, Langrenn’s Belt, or Nameless Stars.

All of these systems are found in the right-hand side section of the Koronus Expanse. I can’t confirm if the location of the second Worn Seal is different for everyone, but I found the item in the Nameless Stars. Specifically, it was in a small room in the left side portion of a bunker, one that has poison gas seeping all over the place. Once you have the Worn Seal, return to Clementia Werserian and have her appraise the document.

How to Answer the Requests of Petitioners

This part of the Mercatum Tabula Officiale quest in Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader might seem confusing. Once you have both Worn Seals, return to the Administratum Office and talk to the Master of Seals. You’ll enter a large chamber with thousands of petitioners. Worse, you’re asked to just stay in queue. Look around near the western side of the room to find an interaction button that lets you queue.

At this point, you’ll want to choose the following options:

  • Wait patiently.
  • “Let’s solve the problems of the common people.”

Several petitioners will be brought to you, and you’re presented with various potential responses. Here are the ones I chose during my playthrough:

  • Young Worker and Fiancee: “In the name of House von Valancius, I hereby make your fiancee a lady of the court.”
  • Decrepit Old Man: “I will have my people buy your granddaughter’s release and see to your welfare.”
  • Wealthy Lady: “And what you want is a life that is meaningless and full of despair? Perhaps it’s time to turn to faith, sister?”

I thought I was done at this portion of the quest, but there are a few more things to do before we complete Mercatum Tabula Officiale. Choose these options:

  • Wait patiently.
  • “We need to move forward faster. Use your tricks.”
  • Persuasion: “Yrliet, I need you to serve as a distraction.”
  • “Whatever you are thinking, do it.”
  • Address a tender-hearted man, followed by: “I do not think your daughter would mind if you let a Rogue Trader go ahead of you.”

And, with all of that done, you’ll find yourself in front of the queue, and your certificate should get signed by the representative.

That’s how to complete Mercatum Tabula Officiale in Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader. Now that you’re done with one of Jae’s companion quests, you might want to tackle others, such as Yrliet’s Aeldari in Distress or Henrix’s Secrets of the Cult.
