If you watched today’s Nintendo Direct, you just may have seen the new addition to the Super Smash Bros. roster: Cloud from Final Fantasy 7.
Check out the trailer above to get a big dose of hype. Summons? Check. Limit breaks? Check. Original and Advent Children outfits? Check. And last but not least, that nostalgic music.
It’s odd that the Final Fantasy character they chose is one that is not natively from a Nintendo console, but come on. The Final Fantasy 7 remake is finally in development. If they were ever to add Cloud to a Smash game, now would be the time.
