Bloodborne is an upcoming action RPG by From Software and Sony Computer Entertainment for the PS4. A confirmed western release has been announced for North America and Europe on February 6th, 2015. It is being directed by Demon Souls and Dark Souls director Hidetaka Miyazaki.
The story takes place in an ancient, abandoned city called Yharnam which was known for housing a medical remedy. Through the years, many travelers made pilgrimages to Yharnam seeking the remedy to cure their afflictions. Upon arriving in Yharnam, discover that it’s overrun with a terrifying curse which has rendered most of the city’s population violently deranged. The player must navigate the streets of Yharnam and defeat its insane inhabitants and horrifying monsters in order to survive.

A Bloodborne Collector’s Edition was also announced. It includes the game in a steelbook case, a digital copy of the soundtrack, and an art book. It will run you $79.99, so get the pre-orders in now. Those who pre-order the game from any participating retailer or through the PlayStation Store get pre-order downloadable content. In Bloodborne, hunters have special companions known as messengers that have creeped up out of a nightmare world and facilitate some of the online game play features. Pre-ordering the game allows you to download an exclusive alternate skin for these messengers.
