EGX 2016 Looking for Indie Submissions for their Leftfield Collection

Calling all indie developers! EGX are looking for game submissions for this year's exhibition

On September 22nd – 25th, game developers and enthusiasts from across the UK and, of course, the World (oh, and a couple of UK-based GameSkinny writers) will be heading to the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham for the UKs largest gaming event, EGX. It is a chance for Blockbuster and Indie games alike to showcase themselves to the people of the UK. As part of the exhibition, EGX has an area dedicated to indie games, and they are currently looking for submissions for the SEGA-sponsored Leftfield Collection.

The Leftfield Collection offers indie developers the chance to showcase their pre-release game, free-of-charge, at the event but spaces are very limited, and the selection process is extremely competitive. Developers interested in submitting their game for inclusion in the collection are asked to fill out the application form. Applications close on August 1st.

Some of the games featured in previous years Leftfield collection, including Joe Danger, Don’t Starve, and Proteus, have gone on to achieve commercial and critical success. The collection has also featured custom hardware and no-screen games; games such as GlowTag (a game which is a step up from conventional playground tag that uses PSMove controllers) and Line Wobbler (a one-dimensional dungeon crawler which utilizes a springy door stop-type contraption and an LED lighting strip).
