The First Fortnite Vehicle Will Be … a Shopping Cart!

You and a buddy can roll into battle in proper style on a shopping cart with the new Fortnite vehicle update!

Its been a crazy week for everyone’s favorite Battle Royale game so far, with the Season 4, Week 5 challenge delayed till the 31st, the makers of PUBG officially suing Epic in Korean court, and news arriving of the first-ever Fortnite vehicle!

When it was revealed that Black Ops 4‘s “Blackout” mode would have land, sea, and air vehicles we should have all realized the other Battle Royale games would have to follow suit.

In typical silly fashion, Fortnite‘s vehicle offering is a little off the beaten path, as it will see you rolling down hills and staircases in a stolen shopping cart!

 Coming soon!

Fortnite Shopping Cart Gameplay

The shopping cart arrives with the v3.4 update coming soon. While there hasn’t been any concrete info yet, at the least I’d expect the aiming reticle to be removed or perhaps changed while in the cart, much like with the jetpack. Its also not clear yet if the Fortnite shopping cart propels itself somehow (rocket boosters maybe?) or if you actually need a second person to push you.

At this point, we would expect them to be legendary drops like the jetpack, but it seems odd that they would pop out of a chest. Maybe shopping carts appear as floor drops or are dispensed from a vending machine setup instead? Its also possible they may spawn at very specific locations to create a feeding frenzy at those spots to try to get to the shopping cart first.

Luckily, we can expect to see some Fortnite shopping cart gameplay arrive within the next day or so with full answers on all these questions. Assuming this doesn’t end up being like the jetpacks that took months to come “soon,” expect the shopping cart to arrive on May 31 with the delayed Week 5 challenges!
