After nearly a year since the release of Injustice: Gods Among Us, the mighty Ares finally makes his appearance in NetherRealm’s mobile app version.

Unlike previous Challenge Modes for new characters, Ares is only winnable by excelling in Injustice’s PVP mode.

Between now and October 15th, players ranking in the Top 5% of all competitors will get a Gold Ares card added to their fighter roster and other ‘exclusive’ prizes.

Players in the Top 4% will also earn Ares’ Bloody Sword gear.

On paper, so to speak, Ares looks to a be powerful addition, including his To The Death passive ability which causes opponents to lose their BLOCK ability after his special God Smack attack. OP? That’s yet to be seen.

So, get to grinding underlings, the God of War will take pleasure in the carnage.
