Best Minecraft 1.16.1 Seeds for July 2020

The Nether Update (1.16.1) for Minecraft Java Edition has finally been released, and it brings a few gameplay balances and bug fixes. It also includes some brand-new seeds you'll want to check out. 

Piglins, hoglins, and striders are now widely available to trade with or tame, and the new nether terrains can be accessed through ruined portals scattered around the overworld.

To get the best of these new additions, here are some of the best seeds available following The Nether update. 

Seed: -5706922079520222408

Coordinates: -200, 150
Biomes: Soul Sand Valley

Here, you'll spawn very close to a desert village with a ruined portal at coordinates 250, 350. Walk through the portal to teleport to the base of a bastion remnant in a pool of lava.

Go to the top-most level of the remnant and open up four treasure chests full of unique loot.

Coordinates: 100, 50
Biomes: Crimson Forest

In this seed, you'll spawn in the center of a small plains village near a ruined portal at coordinates 175, 30, 50; the portal is located under the ground in a small cave.

On the other side of the portal, travel to nether coordinates -50, -350 to find a huge bastion remnant hovering in the air with a massive bridge.

Biomes: Shattered Savanna

Giant mountains are truly remarkable, and this seed offers a 250-block tall, hollow mountain at spawn. 

There are farms on top of the mountain, but don't expect to find any buildings or villagers up so high. However, if you're feeling up to it, you can build an awesome secret base inside the mountain.

Coordinates: 50, 250
Biomes: Birch Forest

Birch forest hills is one of the rarest biomes in Minecraft. Here, you'll find it right at spawn. Even better, it has a village and a ruined portal.

In the northern part of the map, at coordinates -450, -350, you'll find a snow village with an igloo stuck halfway up a savanna hill, which is a rather unusual glitch.

Biomes: Shattered Savanna

In this seed, you'll spawn on a rare survival island: a savanna archipelago. Even better, there's a huge village consisting of over 20 buildings to be explored.

To the east of the island, you'll find the mainland with a village and desert temple at coordinates 700, 50.

Biomes: Savanna

This seed has a zombie city at spawn!

Indeed, there are over 30 buildings in this unusual abandoned village, which makes it one of the biggest naturally-generated villages you will ever encounter.

Make an effort and craft lots of torches; you don't want to be caught in this village at night!

Biomes: Roofed Forest

Glitchy seeds often offer things you would never see in any other Minecraft world. In this seed, you'll find a village with huts and farms stuck inside a woodland mansion at coordinates 250, 250.

Biomes: Mushroom Fields

This is a perfect seed for a private server because it offers lots of smaller biomes at spawn and a village with a zombie dungeon underneath.

It basically has every biome you need for survival, including a tiny mushroom field right at spawn. You can also find a desert village at coordinates 800, 300 and an acacia village at 800, 550.

Biomes: Ice Plains

If you're a fan of cold biomes, this seed has everything you need right at spawn: a village, an igloo with basement, and a ruined portal with ice spikes.

This seed is perfect for a survival game with all of its resources and seriously good loot.

Coordinates: 150, 50
Biomes: Shattered Savanna, Jungle

In this seed, you'll spawn at the foot of a small mountain with a savanna village and shipwreck nearby.

Behind the mountain, you'll find a small patch of jungle biome. Go there and check out a village with a pillager post at coordinates -200, -250. Then, head towards coordinates -350, -700 for a jungle temple full of loot.

Biomes: Deep Ocean

This seed has a double village at spawn, as well as two ocean monuments!

The ocean temples can be found at coordinates -1000, -300. This is an extremely rare cluster of structures, so be sure to check them out.

If you're eager to travel some more, go to coordinates 350, -1350 to find another pair of villages.

Coordinates: -200, 250
Biomes: Shattered Savanna, Mushroom Island

In this seed, you'll spawn across the channel from a forest biome. On the other side, you will find a zombie village standing between two of Minecraft's rarest biomes  shattered savanna and mushroom island  at coordinates 150, 50.

Right under the village, you will find one of the biggest abandoned mineshafts ever(!); it stretches across many hundreds of blocks in all directions. So get to exploring!

Coordinates: 50, 50
Biomes: Various

In this seed, you'll spawn in the middle of a village triangle, where each village occupies a different biome:

  1. -250, 50 (Ice Plains)
  2. 150, 50 (Taiga)
  3. 50, -250 (Plains)

Travel to coordinates 700, -850 to find a woodland mansion standing next to an amazing shattered savanna and two more villages.

Coordinates: -50, 50
Biomes: Ice Spikes

Here, you will spawn in an ice spikes biome with a small village. However, this cold biome also has two more villages at coordinates 200, -250 and -250, -150.

If this seed gets a bit too cold for you, then travel to coordinates 750, -900 for a lush jungle biome with a temple.

Coordinates: -50, 150
Biomes: Crimson Forest, Warped Forest

This seed has a ruined portal at spawn! There is also an acacia village nearby at coordinates 50, -250 if you need tools to rebuild the portal.

After looting the area and have rebuilt the portal, travel to nether coordinates -200, -200 for a bastion remnant that hovers over a massive lava lake with some cute floating islands all around.

Biomes: Desert

Desert villages are the least valuable settlement types in Minecraft because they have fewer resources than any other villages. However, they're much better when they have desert temples full of loot! 

Travel to coordinates -250, -350 to find a desert temple well worth exploring!

Biomes: Mesa, Birch Forest

In this seed, you will find a birch forest biome relatively close to spawn, with a village near mesa at coordinates -200, 600.

This seed's landscape is actually so unusual that you can flex your creative muscles and create a very memorable world.

Coordinates: 150, 250
Biomes: Soul Sand Valley

This seed has a village with a ruined portal very close to spawn and another one near a mushroom island at coordinates 50, -150.

In the nether, you can find a bastion remnant at coordinates -250, -250. This one is located in a soul sand valley, surrounded by a large number of fossils.

Seed: -3072407019180960261

Coordinates: 50, 50
Biomes: Deep Ocean

In this seed, you will spawn on a survival island with an island village right in front of you. If you go to the other side of the island, you will find an ocean temple deep in the water at coordinates 150, -350.

The island village has two blacksmiths, which is highly unusual, and the temple has a piece of a shipwreck stuck inside one of its pillars.

Biomes: Desert

Here, you will spawn in a thick forest, but there is a great desert with three desert temples just north of spawn. Go to these coordinates:

  1. 1050, -1000
  2. 1150, -1250
  3. 1600, -1550

The last temple has a stronghold underneath, which provides quick access to the end portal.
