These game crashes are often caused by little things that many players overlook. For this reason we will provide you with some standard solutions, as well as some unforeseen causes that may crash your game.

Muck Game Crashing Fix Guide

Before trying anything new to fix your Muck game, test out all the standard procedures in the case of game crashing.

You can also make your Windows update automatically by selecting Automatic updates in the Advanced settings in the same window.

Turn off Antivirus and Firewall

At times antivirus and firewall programs may interfere with your games, especially the ones that need to be online, which is the case with Muck.

If you're running an in-build Windows Defender antivirus, then you can temporarily turn it off during the gameplay:

  1. Press the Start button
  2. Go to "Settings" tab
  3. Select "Update and Security" feature
  4. Go to "Windows Security" tab

  5. Select "Firewall and Windows Protection" feature
  6. Open "Windows Security" settings
  7. Switch the Microsoft Defender Firewall option OFF

When you're finished playing, you can switch both antivirus and firewall back on.

Run Muck as Administrator

Finally, you can start your Muck game as an administrator, which gives you all the permissions, so that none of the programs will interfere with your gameplay.

You can do this by following these steps:

  1. Go to your Steam client
  2. Select "Library" tab

Muck: How to Beat Chief Tue, 10 Aug 2021 11:34:26 -0400 Sergey_3847

In the latest update 1.3 for the survival game Muck, the developer introduced a new world boss simply named Chief. This boss carries a new weapon, the Chief's Spear, which he may drop after being defeated. This guide will provide you with tips on how to beat Chief in Muck.

If you manage to defeat this new enemy, you will not only earn special rewards but also unlock a new Chief achievement. In this guide, you will learn about the best armor, weapons, and upgrades that will help you beat Chief, as well as a complete breakdown of all his moves and tactics on how to avoid them.

Since Chief uses the strongest melee weapon in the game, the Chief's Spear, it is advisable to craft the strongest possible armor in the game before fighting this new boss

One of the latest Muck updates made it possible for players to craft a new type of armor made of Obamium ore, which is the best material for crafting the armor set that has the most defenses in the game.

Obamium armor can be crafted in an anvil using the following recipe:

  • Helmet: 5x Obamium bar
  • Chest: 15x Obamium bar
  • Legs: 15x Obamium bar
  • Shoes: 5x Obamium bar

The other best weapon in the game besides the Chief's Spear is the Night Blade, which is available inside the cave chests or through crafting. If you still haven't got one, then it is highly advisable to craft it using this recipe:

  • 1x Black Shard
  • 15x Dark Oak Wood
  • 10x Obamium bar

However, during a particular attack Night Blade might not be the best weapon against the Chief, so use a bow with arrows instead.

Currently, the best bow in Muck is the Ancient Bow, which can be crafted in the fletching table with the help of this recipe:

  • 1x Ancient Bone
  • 1x Rope

Ancient Bone can be found inside the free chest in the Fletcher's Hut or as a drop from the Gronk boss.

The best type of arrows that will deal the maximum amount of damage to Chief are Lightning arrows. These can be crafted with the help of:

  • 1x Lightning Ball
  • 1x Dark Oak Wood

Lightning Balls drop only from Lightning Dave mobs. If you can't find these, then use fire arrows instead.

In addition to the weapons and armor that you will need for the Chief boss fight, you also should stack up some of the following upgrades:

  • Crimson Dagger
  • Horseshoe
  • Juice
  • Adrenaline
  • Berserk
  • Sniper Scope

These upgrades are designed to boost your health and increase your critical hit chance, which is especially important against the buffed version of Chief.

Beat the Chief

Chief can be compared to the Gronk boss, as some of his attack patterns are similar. But he's also got his own tricks, so be prepared for all of them.

Once you summon Chief by interacting with his statue, you need to be aware of the following attack patterns:

  • Slam Attack. His standard attack involves him slamming his spear into the ground. This happens only in case you get too close to Chief, so keep a healthy distance and this won't bother you.
  • Twirl Attack. Chief will produce a strange sound that will signal to your his twirl attack. Then, he starts spinning and hitting anything that catches his spear. Just run backward and start shooting him with your bow until he stops spinning.
  • Leap Strike. You shouldn't run away from Chief too far either, as he will perform the leap strike attack when he jumps forward and slams his spear into the ground.
  • Spear Throw. This attack is very similar to Gronk's sword throw. All you can do is hide behind the trees and the rocks. If the spear catches you, it'll deal a lot of damage. Fortunately, you will have enough time to take cover.

You will have short windows between these attack patterns, which you can use to deal damage to Chief.

The Night Blade can kill him in just five direct hits, but if you're using the upgrades, then he can die in three. So stack up on those upgrades, and patiently wait for your attack windows. In no time, you will easily defeat Chief.

Once you beat the Chief boss, he will randomly drop the following items (including drop rates):

  • Coin: 50-100 (100%)
  • Oak Wood: 5-15 (40%)
  • Ancient Core (33%)
  • Dark Oak Wood: 5-15 (20%)
  • Spear Tip (10%)
  • Chief's Spear (2.5%)

That's all you need to know on how to beat the Chief boss in Muck. If you want to know more about Muck, then head over to our dedicated guides page.

Muck: How to Kill Wyverns for the Wyvern Dagger Fri, 23 Jul 2021 12:01:40 -0400 Gavin Burtt

Combat is a huge part of Muckand there aren't many weapons better for it than the Wyvern Dagger. This knife has the fastest attack speed of any weapon in the game, but is fairly average in terms of damage, dealing an amount between what mithril and adamantite swords deliver.

This guide will cover how to get the materials required to make the Wyvern Dagger, and how to craft it.

Muck: How to Kill Wyverns for the Wyvern Dagger

In order to craft the Wyvern Dagger, you are going to need one set of Wyvern Claws and ten pieces of Oak Wood. The ten pieces of oak are the easy part. You've likely got more than enough wood at this point, and if not, just get chopping. Attaining the Wyvern Claws is much trickier, as it requires you to kill Wyverns — a lot of them.

Wyverns are the green and yellow flying enemies that spawn only at night. They have a 1% chance of dropping Wyvern Claws when they die. They aren't particularly difficult to kill, nor or they that rare, but the fact that they only have a 1% chance of dropping the item you need means it will likely be a grind.

Wyverns will not start spawning until Day 7, so this gives you plenty of time to stock up on weapons and gear.

The most effective weapon to use against them is a bow. Melee weapons will not work while you are grounded. Unless you have a jetpack, you're probably not gonna get much use out of trying to slash at them. An oak bow is the most powerful of the wood bows, so you're best off using that.

Wyverns can deal some pretty heavy damage with their Windball projectiles. They will naturally try to keep their distance from you, but you should try to do the same. You'll both be firing ranged attacks at each other, and you want to have ample time to dodge if need be.

Its attacks always travel in perfectly straight lines, so as long as you strafe constantly, you're good. Remember to keep an eye out for other monsters that may be around you as well. The last thing you want is to die to a sneak attack from a second Wyvern.

There is one little trick that you can abuse to help make taking down these enemies a bit easier. Like other enemies, Wyverns will target structure blocks when they are nearby. At the moment, however, they can not deal damage to workbenches. This means that if you place a workbench down while in combat, this will momentarily "stun" the Wyvern as it tries and fails to damage the workbench. You can use this to lay down some easy attacks.

Muck: How to Craft the Wyvern Dagger

Once you have finally got yourself some Wyvern Claws, it's time to get crafting.

Head to your Anvil with your claws and ten Oak Wood and use them together to craft the Wyvern Dagger. This is a green-handled, curved yellow blade with incredible attack speed. It may not do as much damage as the other high-end blades in the game, but it more than makes up for it with the rate at which you can make attacks.

Decking out your Muck character with weapons and items like these are essential if you're looking to beat this game. Make good use of your newfound blade to tear through your foes at night as you work towards repairing the engine, and eventually fighting Bob the Dragon.

How to Get and Use the Jetpack in Muck Game Thu, 22 Jul 2021 17:24:49 -0400 Gavin Burtt

Upgrades in Muck grant you increased abilities and stats that can make you more powerful in combat, provide more protection against enemies, increase your agility, and more. The jetpack is one of them.

All told, there are 25 powerups in Muck, but this guide focuses on the jetpack. It will not only clarify what the jetpack does, which isn't as obvious as you may think, but also how you get it.

As with other loot and upgrades found in Muck, you'll find jetpacks in loot chests scattered around the world, opening them up with coins you find by defeating enemies or looting other chests.

There are four tiers of loot containers: black, white, blue, and gold. Black loot containers are free to open, while the others cost 25, 80, and 200 coins respectively.

The jetpack is a common item, so target black and white loot containers.

  • Black containers have a 90% chance of containing a common item
  • White containers have an 80.3% chance

You don't have to get coins to find the jetpack; you could rely on black chests, but you'll be able to check more chests if you are willing to pay for the white ones.

Once you get a jetpack, you'll find it is more like a thruster pack than a traditional jetpack. It only gives you increased jump height. You can't fly with it.

Once you find a jetpack and equip it, you will be given a jump buff, and you can stack jetpack buffs to increase your jump height two steps for every one jetpack you collect.

For example, the base jump height is 12, and one jetpack will increase it to 14. Two jetpacks will increase it to 16, and so on.

If you want to beat Muck, it's important that you upgrade your character as much as possible. Buffing your character with upgrades like the jetpack is a great way to do that. For more on Muck, consider heading over to our dedicated guides page

How to Craft Wolfskin Armor in Muck Game Thu, 22 Jul 2021 16:49:52 -0400 Gavin Burtt

Muck is rife with monsters trying to take your head off, so it's important that wear the right armor to stay alive. There are six tiers of armor in Muck, and only one that doesn't require metal bars to craft: the Wolfskin armor.

Wolfskin armor is basically this game's version of leather armor in Minecraft, and it is the first new armor to be added to the game. This guide will cover its stats and how to craft it.

Unlike the other five sets of Muck armor, which are crafted with the anvil, the Wolfskin Armor is made using 45 flax fibers and 45 wolfskin on a fletching table. This armor isn't amazing, but it's a good starter set before upgrading to mithril or adamantite.

You can get flax fibers from flax at a 1:1 ratio, so place 1 flax in a fletching table to get back 1 flax fiber. Flax are the blue flowers that spawn in groups of four on the ground and are fairly common.

Wolfskin is obtained by killing wolves. There is a 50% chance that a wolf will drop wolfskin, and they will drop 2-4 pieces when they do. You will need to kill about 30 wolves to get the required 45 wolfskin.

Wolves spawn exclusively at night, with the exception of those within Battle Towers, where they spawn no matter the time of day.

Once you have 45 flax fibers and 45 wolfskin, head to your fletching table. There are four armor pieces to make: a helmet, a chestplate, pants, and boots. To craft each piece, you will need:

  • Helmet: Five wolfskin and five flax fibers.
  • Chestplate: 20 wolfskin and 20 flax fibers.
  • Pants: 15 wolfskin and 15 flax fibers.
  • Boots: Five wolfskin and five flax fibers.

The wolfskin helmet will reduce damage by 3%, while the chestplate will reduce damage by 8%. The pants will reduce damage 6%, and the boots will reduce it by 2%.

A full set will reduce damage by 19%. Not only that, but a full armor set will also give you a 50% speed bonus. Because of the speed bonus, but the low damage reduction, wolfskin armor is a great outfit for long-range combat

That's how you craft the wolfskin armor in Muck. For more on the survival game from Dani, consider heading over to our Muck guides hub!

How to Get Ruby in Muck Game Wed, 21 Jul 2021 14:17:52 -0400 Gavin Burtt

Ruby is one of the rarest minerals in Muck. It's also not like other ores in the game. It spawns differently, and its uses aren't as straightforward as standard ores.

Ruby appears as a golden shard in your inventory. Currently, it's only used to repair shipwreck engines, though that may change with future updates and patches. This Muck game guide will tell you where to find Ruby and what to do with it.

Note: Ruby is the only ore chunk in Muck that spawns exclusively in caves. You will not find any on the surface like you do Iron or Mithril.

Craft an Adamantite Pickaxe

You'll first need to craft an Adamantite Pickaxe with the following materials:

  • 5 Adamantite bars
  • 10 oak wood logs
  • 5 bark

Adamantite is green and can be found at the surface as an uncommon ore. Mining one requires a Mithril Pickaxe, and one chunk will yield 5 to 15 Adamantite ore, enough to craft a Pickaxe.

Mine Ruby in Caves

Cave in a green field with orange ruby outcroppings inside.

With your Adamantite pickaxe in hand, go into a cave system. Ruby chunks appear as pointy, bright orange spikes of rock that vary in size. A single chunk can drop between five and 10 Ruby.

Unlike most other chunks, Ruby will drop as Ruby, not ore. It does not need to be processed in a furnace.

Get Ruby from Guardians

On top of it being an uncommon mineral, it is also a rare drop by Guardians. Killing one gives a 1/20 chance of dropping Ruby, so while targeting these enemies may not be your best course of action for grinding for the mineral, it is an option.

Use Ruby to Repair the Shipwreck

Repairing the shipwreck engine will require 11 Ruby for a particular component, one more than the maximum amount you can get from a single chunk. This is an essential step in reaching the final boss and beating the game.

Even though Ruby doesn't seem as useful as some of the other minerals, it's actually incredibly important if you're looking to reach the end game.

Best Ruby Seed

If you'd rather not search for Ruby, there are some Muck seeds that will help you out. The seed "896066" will spawn you right in front of a cave, filled with all of the minerals you could ever hope for: Gold, Mithril, Adamantite, Obamium, and Ruby.

If you'd like a challenge, the seed "3284124" spawns you right next to another Ruby-filled cave, though this one is guarded by a pair of Stone Golems!

There's much more to beating Muck than just collecting Rubies, but hopefully, this guide can assist you in getting there. For more on the survival game from Dani, check out our other Muck guides!

How to Get Mithril in Muck Game Wed, 21 Jul 2021 14:54:37 -0400 Gavin Burtt

In terms of both strength and durability, Mithril is the third-best ore in Muck, falling behind only Adamantite and Chunkium. To get Mithril tools, weapons, and armor, you'll need to know how to find this ore and smelt it.

Muck's tool upgrade system works like a ladder, meaning you'll need to craft a Mithril Pickaxe in order to mine Adamantite and work your way to the highest upgrade tiers. This guide will tell you everything you need to know about Mithril.

Craft a Steel Pickaxe

Before you bother looking for Mithril, you'll need to craft a Steel Pickaxe to mine it. For the Steel Pickaxe, you'll need:

  • 5 iron bars
  • 5 bark
  • 10 birch logs

Logs can be found by chopping down trees. Bark can be made from logs in the crafting menu. And Iron can be found via Iron Chunks, which appear as dark gray rocks on the surface (mined with a wooden pickaxe). You'll need to smelt the ore in a furnace to create iron bars.

Mine for Mithril

First, find a Mithril chunk. Mithril chunks look exactly like Iron Chunks, except they are blue. They are found randomly on the surface but spawn less frequently than lower-tier minerals like Iron and Gold.

When you find a chunk, give it a few whacks with your Steel Pickaxe to receive between 5 and 15 shiny blue ore pieces.

Mithril deposits can also be found in caves.

Get Mithril as Rare Loot

Additionally, Mithril can be found as rare loot in chests.

  • In a Pitman House chest, there is a 1/20 chance to find some ore.
  • In a cave chest, there is a 1/5 chance.

Get Mithril from Big Chunk

There is a 30% chance that defeating Big Chunk will give you Mithril ore.

Items Crafted with Mithril

Once you have some Mithril, throw it all into a furnace to smelt it. Once it has been processed, you'll receive one Mithril bar per ore smelted, which can be used to craft a myriad of items:

On a Fletching Table:

  • 1 Mithril bar + 2 Fir Wood = 4 Mithril Arrows

On an Anvil:

  • 5 Mithril bars + 5 Bark + 10 Fir Wood = Pickaxe or Axe
  • 5 Mithril bars + 5 Fir Wood = Sword
  • 5 Mithril bars = Helmet
  • 20 Mithril bars = Chestplate
  • 15 Mithril bars = Leggings
  • 5 Mithril bars = Boots

Best Mithril Seeds

If you're looking for some quick and easy Mithril, there are some good seeds to help you get some quick.

"570259" will spawn you near a hut with two green chests inside, containing 13 Mithril ore. If you'd prefer to find some naturally spawning mithril chunks in the wild, then seed "7326963" is a great one. Not only is there plenty of Mithril ore at spawn, but there's some Adamantite and Obamium too!

Finding this Tolkienian mineral is just one of many things you can do in Muck. For more on the survival game from Dani, consider checking out our other Muck guides!

Muck: How to Beat Big Chunk Tue, 13 Jul 2021 11:49:10 -0400 Sergey_3847

Big Chunk is the first big boss that players may encounter in the survival game Muck. This giant stone golem is very dangerous, so you'll need to be prepared before taking him on. This guide will provide you with tips and tricks on how to beat Big Chunk in Muck.

This boss drops some great loot. If you manage to defeat him, you will also unlock the David vs. Goliath achievement, which has been added in the latest update 3.

How to Beat Big Chunk in Muck

Prepare for the Fight

Big Chunk is a boss that is made entirely of stone, which makes him weak to blunt weapons, and especially to a pickaxe. The stronger pickaxe you have, the more damage you will deal to Big Chunk.

The first thing you need to do is craft an Adamantite Pickaxe, which is the strongest pickaxe in the game:

  • 10x Oak Wood
  • 5x Bark
  • 10x Adamantite Bar

This weapon will deal 40 damage with each hit, which can quickly kill even the buffed version of Big Chunk.

You also need to protect yourself from getting damaged by his attack. The Adamantite Armor is the best choice for this purpose, as it provides the best protection.

Adamantite Armor can be crafted in an anvil, just like pickaxe, using the following recipe:

  • Helmet: 5x Adamantite Bar
  • Chestplate: 15x Adamantite Bar
  • Pants: 15x Adamantite Bar
  • Boots: 5x Adamantite Bar

Once your gear and weapon are ready, you need to hoard some important upgrades that will help you greatly in defeating Big Chunk, such as:

  • Blue pills
  • Red pills
  • Dumbbells
  • Jetpacks
  • Crimson Dagger
  • Horseshoe
  • Sniper Scope
  • Knuts Hammer
  • Wings of Glory
  • Berserk

You may not find all of these in loot crates, but you could really benefit from Sniper Scope. Although it was been nerfed in the last update, it is still quite powerful. Every third strike will add so much damage to your hits.

Also, you need to find as many Jetpacks as you can. The higher you can jump, the less damage Big Chunk will be able to deal to you, since all his attacks are directed at the ground.

Fight Big Chunk

Big Chunk is quite slow, which you can use to your benefit during the fight, but his attacks are heavy, so learn all his patterns before starting a fight. As always, the fight with Big Chunk can be initiated after interacting with his statue.

This boss has three main attack phases:

  1. Big Slam
  2. Sweep
  3. Jump Slam

The first attack can be deadly, but it is easy to avoid. He will slam the ground with his stone club, which will cause many stone projectiles shoot out in the direction of the ground slam. As soon as he swings the club, move sideways and go behind him to strike his legs and feet with your pickaxe.

The second attack is very similar to the Bob the Dragon's attack, where he sweeps the area in a semi-circular way. This time you need to either jump backwards, or quickly move behind his back using jetpacks. The last one is more useful, as you can use this position to deal more damage to him.

The third attack is the most dangerous, mostly because you can't dodge it. Big Chunk will jump into the air and land on his feet throwing stone projectiles in all directions. The best way to avoid this attack is to find some sort of cover, such as hiding behind tightly packed trees or the hills.

This also means that choosing the area. Where you fight Big Chunk could play a role in your victory, so try to look out for a hilly area. Lastly, you can carry a bow with arrows to be able to hit him from behind the cover.

Once Big Chunk is defeated he will drop the following items depending on your luck:

  • Coin (50-100): 100%
  • Rock (25-50): 100%
  • Iron Ore (10-25): 80%
  • Chunkium Ore (5-20): 50%
  • Ancient Core: 33%
  • Mithril Ore (10-25): 30%
  • Hammer Shaft: 10%

How to Collect All 5 Gems in Muck Game Fri, 09 Jul 2021 09:12:40 -0400 Sergey_3847

If you want to complete the game Muck's optional storyline and unlock the "I am Inevitable" achievement, you need to find the five gems of different colors that are protected by the Guardian bosses. This guide will provide you with tricks and tips on how to collect all five gems in Muck.

Typically, you would have to find the map of the shipwreck, repair it, find the map for the Guardian statues, and fight each and every Guardian to obtain the five gems. You can find all this information in our guide right here.

This guide offers you a much faster way of beating the Guardians, so keep on reading for all the secrets below.

Muck: How to Collect All 5 Gems

Muck map showing five gem locations and the shipwreck site.

Before collecting the five gems you need to locate the five Guardians that drop the gems. If you use the seed 221294511, then your Guardians can be found on the spots indicated by the five colored markers on the map above.

Once you've located the five statues, you can start fighting the Guardians one by one. Usually, these bosses are quite hard to beat, especially the buffed versions, but fortunately, there is a much faster way to defeat them all.

A Guardian statue in a wooden shaft in the ground.

The quickest, safest, and most efficient way of beating all five Guardians has been discovered by the Steam user Disco_Lizzard.

This unique method involves creating a simple wooden structure around the Guardian statues that consists of four enclosed walls and a set of stairs, as shown in the screenshot above.

When this is done, follow these steps to farm Guardians and the five gems:

  1. Activate the statue by standing on top of the wall (try not to fall down)
  2. Once the Guardian wakes up, he will not be able to move
  3. Keep hitting the Guardian from above
  4. If the Guardian tries to attack you, jump off the wall
  5. Go back up the wall and hit him again

You can use the strongest weapon in the game for hitting the Guardians, such as Night Blade. Repeat this simple process until the Guardian is dead. You can use this method on every Guardian on the map and soon you will have all five gems in your collection.

That's all you need to know on how to collect all five gems in Muck game. If you're looking for more Muck tips and tricks articles, then visit our dedicated hub page.

Muck: How to Get the Night Blade Thu, 08 Jul 2021 10:49:50 -0400 Sergey_3847

After update 3 in the survival game Muck, the Night Blade is considered the strongest melee weapon in the game with a total damage of 130. You can either craft it or find it inside the cave chest, but that is an extremely rare case. This guide will provide you with all the tips on how to get the Night Blade in Muck.

If you get this powerful sword, you will automatically unlock The Black Swordsman achievement, which is one of the hardest in the game right now. Follow all the steps below and soon you will be able to use this excellent weapon.

How to Get the Nightblade in Muck

The easiest way to get Night Blade in Muck and The Black Swordsman achievement is to use the seed 221294511.

Once you spawn, just go to the location indicated by the red marker on the map above and you will arrive at a cave with the green chest near spawn. The chest contains the Night Blade sword and a boat map.

Muck: Night Blade Crafting Recipe

If you don't want to use the seed above, then you can craft the Night Blade using an anvil and the following recipe:

  • 1x Black Shard
  • 15x Dark Oak Wood
  • 10x Obamium Bar

The Black Shard is an extremely rare material that can be obtained either in the cave chests or as a drop from the Guardian mini-bosses.

Dark Oak Wood can be obtained by chopping trees using the Adamantite Axe (5x Bark, 5x Adamantite Bar, 10x Oak Wood).

Obamium Bars can be obtained by smelting Obamium ore in the Furnace. In order to mine the purple Obamium ore you need to use Adamantite Pickaxe, which has the same crafting recipe as Adamantite Axe.

As you see, it is much easier just to find the Night Blade in the cave chest, but it's up to you.

That's all you need to know on how to get the Night Blade in Muck survival game. For more Muck tips and tricks articles, please visit our dedicated hub page.

How to Beat Muck and the Final Boss, Bob the Dragon Thu, 01 Jul 2021 10:02:31 -0400 Sergey_3847

The new Update 3 for Muck introduces a storyline that players can complete by repairing a ship and defeating the final boss, Bob the dragon. This storyline is completely optional, so you can skip it if you want to keep playing Muck otherwise.

If you want to beat the game, then this guide will show you how to do it and how to beat the final boss in Muck. Just follow the steps listed below and soon you will be on your way to victory.

How to Beat Muck

Typically players would need to find a special map that is a random common drop in any of the green chests. This map shows the location of the shipwreck and the locations of the five gems required to fix it.

But you can simply use the seed 221294511 and follow the map you can see just above. This will save you some time since you won't be searching for maps, unless you want to play specifically in your own unique generated world.

Step 1: Defeat the Guardians

The Guardians (locations indicated by five color markers on the map) are five new bosses that need to be defeated. Each of them will drop one of five required gems for fixing the boat's engine.

Each Guardian can be defeated using melee weapons, such as swords, or a bow. If you can obtain the Gronk's Sword or an Ancient Bow, the fights would be much easier for you.

Look out for three types of attacks, when dealing with Guardians:

  • The Haymaker: Guardians will try to punch you at a close range, so keep a healthy distance.
  • The Beam: Guardians will shoot a laser beam at a medium range. You can protect yourself from it by hiding behind the trees or by using a shield.
  • The Undercarriage: Guardians will summon many laser beams from the ground, so try to avoid these by jumping backwards.

When you defeat the Guardians and collect all five gems, you can start working on the ship itself.

Step 2: Repair the Shipwreck

Before moving to the location of the shipwreck (indicated by the ship marker on the map), you need to collect some resources.

Here is a complete breakdown of all resources you need collect for the ship:

  • Two Broken Ladders: 30x Wood
  • Five Holes: 30x Wood
  • Engine: 12x Iron Bar
  • Engine Base: 7x Obamium Bar
  • Rod (Engine): 7x Adamantite Bar
  • Five Cogs (Engine): 25x Iron Bar
  • Ruby (Engine): 14x Ruby
  • Gems (Engine): 5x Gem
  • Core: 1x Ancient Core
  • Mast: 20x Dark Oak Wood
  • Sail: 13x Flax Fiber, 5x Rope
  • Eight Supply Crates: 80x Wood, 60x Rock, 30x Wheat, 10x Raw Meat
  • Stairs: 15x Fir Wood
  • Hut: 15x Oak Wood
  • Ship's Wheel: 8x Dark Oak Wood
  • Gold Pipes: 10x Gold Bar

Collect all these materials before repairing the ship, so you can finish the fixing itself in just a few minutes and continue on with the storyline.

Step 3: Beat the Dragon

When your ship is fully repaired, you can sail it out into the sea. Pretty soon the final boss of the game, named Bob the Dragon, will appear out of the water.

This boss battle has three main phases:

  1. Bob will fly around the ship, shooting fireballs at you
  2. Bob will land on the side of the ship, slamming it with his fists
  3. Bob will shoot a flame of fire out of his mouth, moving across the ship

In the first phase, it is recommended to use bow and arrows. The strongest bow is Ancient Bow with Elemental arrows. Once you deal a certain amount of damage to him, Bob will land on the ship.

In the second phase, it is advisable to hide inside the ship, and keep shooting him with your arrows from a distance. When he gets really angry, he will start burning the ship.

In the third phase, you need to dodge the flames by running and jumping over them. You can keep using bow during pauses, or you could approach and hit him with your sword.

In either case, you need to deplete his life total, which varies depending on your level. Once Bob is dead, you will get a Victory banner, congratulating you with the end of the game.

Now you know how to beat Muck and the final boss. For more Muck tips and tricks articles, please visit our dedicated hub page.

How to Get Gronk's Sword in Muck Game Thu, 17 Jun 2021 11:49:09 -0400 Sergey_3847

The latest update for Muck on Steam has introduced a new vicious boss named Gronk. This giant goblin carries two massive swords that deal more damage than most adventurers can deal with, but if you manage to beat him you may get Gronk's Sword, a powerful weapon.

Our guide will provide you with all the tips on how to beat Gronk and get his sword in Muck. You should prepare for the fight as soon as possible, since he just might attack you out of nowhere, particularly at nighttime. Be prepared!

Muck: How to Beat Gronk and Get Gronk's Sword

Prepare for the Fight

Before fighting Gronk, you need to make sure that you can handle his attacks by crafting strong armor and deal enough damage to kill him by crafting either a good sword or a bow.

The best type of armor against Gronk is Mithril armor. It can be crafted in the anvil with the help of the following recipe:

  • Helmet: 5x Mithril bar
  • Chest: 20x Mithril bar
  • Legs: 15x Mithril bar
  • Shoes: 5x Mithril bar

All together, you will need 45x Mithril bars to craft this armor. Mithril is a blue stone that can be found on the ground and mined with a pickaxe.

You're going to want to use a good bow to fight Gronk. The Ancient Bow is a good choice for this fight, if you manage to find it as a loot drop from goblins, or craft it at the fletching table using this recipe:

  • 1x Ancient Bone
  • 1x Rope

This bow gets bonus damage when shooting Elemental Arrows that also can be crafted at fletching table using:

  • 1x Elemental Ball
  • 1x Dark Oak Wood

If you don't like using bows, then you can craft the Mithril Sword at the anvil with the help of:

  • 5x Mithril bar
  • 5x Fir Wood

When you have your weapons and gear ready, you will also need a few power-ups that will keep you alive and help you deal more damage, such as:

  • Robin Hood Hat for better bow shooting
  • Danis Milk for better defenses
  • Jetpack for better dodging

All these can be found as loot drops inside treasure chests.

Gronk Boss Fight

Gronk can be summoned, just like any other boss in Muck, using Gronk's statue. It can be found somewhere random, depending on the world generation. But Gronk can also appear out of nowhere on the fifth or sixth day of survival. He can also appear at night, so always be prepared to meet him.

Gronk's entire attack pattern consists of three repeating moves:

  1. Forward dashing attack
  2. Blade throwing attack
  3. Ground slam attack

First, he will try to attack you with his sword in a forward dashing attack. It's better to just dodge this attack or run away from him if you can. There is no point in trying to deflect this. Once he stops running, approach him from behind and strike him as many times as you can.

Then, he will try to throw both of his swords at you. Once again, dodge the blades and when Gronk stands still, approach him from behind and start hitting him with your weapon.

Finally, he will slam both of his swords into the ground generating blade projectiles that will fly out in all directions. This attack is the hardest one to dodge, but you can manage to jump over the projectiles. When you have the chance, approach Gronk from behind as he stands still, and hit him as hard as you can.

All this may sound very simple, but don't underestimate Gronk, as he is a very strong opponent. If you didn't kill him the first time, Gronk will repeat the same cycle once again.

Once Gronk is defeated you will be rewarded with the following items:

  • Gronk's Sword
  • Ancient Core
  • Blade
  • Sword Hilt

When the Gronk's Sword is unlocked, you will be able to craft it anytime at the anvil using the following recipe:

  • 1x Blade
  • 1x Sword Hilt
  • 10x Dark Oak Wood

That's everything you need to know on how to get Gronk's sword in Muck. Check out other Muck tips and tricks articles on our dedicated hub page.

How to Respawn in Muck Game Fri, 11 Jun 2021 10:28:35 -0400 Sergey_3847

Since the release of Muck, a new free-to-play survival game on Steam, players have been wondering how the Muck respawn system works. It turns out that after death you don't actually respawn but simply lose all your progress and start a new game from scratch.

This guide will provide you with tips on how to respawn in Muck, as well as how to revive your other teammates. Spoiler: you'll need a mod to respawn in single-player, but we tell you how to get it.

How to Respawn in Muck Game

Multiplayer Respawn

At launch, there was no option to respawn at all. But now players have the option to revive their teammates using special Revive Totems in multiplayer only.

These totems appear when one of the players dies on a multiplayer server. When other players interact with the totem, the dead player respawns.

This option is currently available during daytime for free. But if you want to revive your teammates at night, you will have to pay some coins.

Single Player Respawn

Currently, the single-player respawn mechanic has not been implemented in Muck. But there is a custom modification that allows players to set respawn points in single-player. This mod can be installed after joining the Muck Discord group.

Once you've joined the group and downloaded the mod, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Steam library
  2. Right-click on Muck and select "Properties"
  3. Go to "Local Files" and select "Browse"
  4. Copy the mod folder into the "\steamapps\common\Muck\Muck_Data\"
  5. Confirm to rewrite the existing files

Now, you can start the game, and when you die, your character will automatically respawn at the same spot within five seconds.

That's all you need to know on how to respawn in Muck, in both multiplayer and single-player. If this article was helpful to you, then consider giving it a share!
