Red Dead Online is the multiplayer component of the 2018 video game Red Dead Redemption 2. It is similar in nature to the multiplayer component of Grand Theft Auto 5, Grand Theft Auto Online. The mode is available to anyone who owns RDR2 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, or Stadia.
Players can take on many specialist roles in Red Dead Online, such as trader, bounty hunter, collector, and moonshiner. These roles have different abilities and tools that give players specific upgrades and an edge against opponents.
Players can free-roam in Red Dead Online, cooking, camping, and killing other players in the world. They can also posse up and take on heists or participate in race series. Of course, there are specific PvP series (modes), such as Shootout, Hostile Territory, and Gun Rush, which is essentially a battle royale mode.
