The Final Fantasy VII Remake’s gameplay is looking amazing

The first bits of gameplay footage for the long awaited Final Fantasy 7 remake is here! Looks like its shaping up to be a success.

We got our first look at some gameplay for the Final Fantasy VII remake at the PlayStation Experience Keynote, and does it ever look good. There is still no solid release date, but from the trailer we know that the game will be coming to the PS4 first.

The two minute trailer gives us some insight on the cast of voice actors, but more importantly we get a real look at some of the combat.

Square has decided to do away with the old combat system from the PS1 classic, instead focusing on a style that looks like what we saw in the Final Fantasy 15 demo, fast paced and action oriented.

While it won’t be as awesome as playing the remake, if you’re itching to get back into the shoes of Cloud and co. and don’t mind playing an older gem, Square Enix announced that the PC to PS4 port of Final Fantasy VII will be available on the PlayStation store. Now you can replay Final Fantasy VII in all its blocky glory on the PS4!
