Minecraft has a huge audience full of creative people. Not only are there Minecraft architects creating masterpieces in-game, but there's also a ton of musically-inclined creators as well. So many that a top 40 list of the best Minecraft music videos was warranted! These aren't in a particular order, as they all scratch different itches, but every one of them is worthy of this list! Starting with:
A Minecraft music video parody of "Drag Me Down" by One Direction. It describes, and is sung by none other than Herobrine! He terrorizes a village and fights a Steve, who he thinks he kills. Then he rises as something nobody could have expected...
A music video parody of "Welcome to My House", but with the opposite implication. It's pretty much just a video telling mobs to not mess with the player's house. And him teaching them why, of course.
Who doesn't like a music video mash-up between Pokemon and Minecraft? Pokemon battles in the Minecraft video maker? Yes please.
Another one by Lachlan. The animation is definitely the best part of this video. The music isn't bad, being a parody of "I Gotta Feeling" by Black Eyed Peas but the animation is the real heavy hitter, being really inventive and doing things other Minecraft music videos haven't.
Minecraft players are always so attached to their bases. Almost dangerously so. Lachlan is no exception to that rule with their parody of "All About That Bass". This light-hearted music video shows the crew defending their base and just generally having a good time.
Probably Lachlan's best work so far, A parody of "Club Can't Handle Me" by Flo Rida and a sequel of "I Am Believing". The actual music is noticeably better, especially the harmonizing, and the animation is just as good, if not better than the previous one. There's a certain vibe with "the gang" in these music videos.
A parody of "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons. This music video is about a Robot protagonist enchanting their equipment to take on stronger mobs. Basically what every Minecraft player tries to do mid-game!
A parody of "Blame" by Calvin Harris. This one is sad! Yeah, Minecraft is about seeing villagers killed by mobs, and it's sad... but this one has to do with a dog! How dare they! If you can make it to the end though, you're in for a nice surprise.
A song about Minecraft being about what you decide. A pretty introspective view on Minecraft as a whole. In this music video, a guy meets a girl and they adventure together however they want. Just like Minecraft, it's all about what you find fun!
A parody of "Pompeii" By Bastille. Ryguyrocky sings about learning to fight mobs. His annotations imply he likes his video "Evil Mobs" better, but really it depends on which original song you like better. Speaking of Evil Mobs...
Ryguyrocky tells a story about evil mobs and beating the tar out of them. Is there more to say? Every Minecraft player knows this problem. Oh, the animation with it is really cool too.
Ryguyrocky does it again with a parody of Waiting for Love by Avicii. (Evil mobs is actually referenced in the animation!) In this video, the protagonist fights for others, and eventually saves a girl from a creeper. They walk back to their village and have to save it.
A magical thief tries to steal the helmet of a child in a village in this music video. The protagonist fights him but loses and the thief just kidnaps the child altogether. The protagonist trains to take him back. All accompanied by original music!
A story about riches and gold mining gone wrong. A group of miners are attacked by mobs lead by Herobrine. The main character of this music video was the only survivor, as his brother saves him from a creeper, blowing it up on Herobrine.
This video is a sequel to "Gold". It's instrumental and has no words. It follows the surviving protagonist as he prepares to fight his enemies to avenge his tribe. Herobrine comes out of a nether portal (as he had died before). Cool music and animation follows. I won't spoil the ending, just be sure to watch it before continuing to the next music video.
If you finished the previous video, you'd know that our protagonist fell for a trap by the dying Herobrine that landed him straight into the nether, surrounded by pigmen. This music video returns to using lyrics. Remember in video one when the protagonists brother saves him from a creeper? Turns out he didn't die (although he's not quite as handsome as he used to be). He sees a dead Herobrine and a portal, knowing that's exactly where his brother is. The conclusion? Watch the video!
Yeah, it old, but it's good! A parody of Katy Perry's Last Friday Night. This video is a cautionary tale of mining at night in Minecraft. Even the mobs get together for a dance number just to remind you that it's a bad idea.
This one is far too true. As a parody to “Wrecking Ball” by Miley Cyrus, the music video starts out nice and relaxing… Until “The freaking creepers came.” Then they blow everything up, because creepers are terrible. The bane of Minecraft.
Come on, you knew CaptainSparklez would end up on this list. It's a top Minecraft music video list. Of course he'd be on here. Plus he works with TryHardNinja, so that just doubles the goodness. It's a parody of Coldplay's "Viva la Vida". In this video, a king walks around his village... only for the viewer to realize it's a flashback and his village is actually ruins.
A sequel to "Fallen Kingdom" where the protagonist is a child from the sacked village from the prequel. Villagers from the next town over rescue him and raise him. He trains to defend his new home. Also TryHardNinja is great, and the music is original in this one.
The third video in the this series, "Find the Pieces" is another original with the vocals of TryHardNinja. The protagonist from "Take Back the Night" has a dream about the king in "Fallen Kingdom" who apparently didn't die as we were lead to believe, and the young man sets out on a quest based upon that dream.
Another nice change of pace, this music video is pretty light hearted (besides a bit of monster murdering). It's a music video about hanging out in a mine. Simple right? It's Minecraft.
A music video about a cow... teaching Steve not to eat cows. He teaches him other ways to feed himself in Minecraft. A nice look from the other side. The lessons keep being lost on Steve though, but he learns once the cow talks about making Steveburgers.
A parody of Uptown Funk, which is already crazy catchy as it is. This Minecraft music video is about the protagonist fighting a bunch of pigmen to make it towards the Nether King. Who wins? Watch the video!
Listen guys... don't steal a little girl's pig. Not only is it mean, but she'll get revenge, and it'll hurt. Little girls in Minecraft are apparently dangerous. This music video is proof.
More girl power! This one is about girls being much better at Minecraft. The boys just can't beat her, apparently in Minecraft AND music, because this one is really catchy.
This music video is a story about a boy and girl mining together. He might be a little scared of the mines, but she isn't and said "shut up and mine with me." It's a parody of "Shut up and dance" by Walk the Moon, if that wasn't obvious.
Ugh! Griefers are terrible. Hacking, cheating, and destroying all your hard work in Minecraft. They’re the worst. They make for good music though. And Jinx is there for some reason. We’re not complaining though, Jinx is great. (Wish she’d stop hanging out with that griefer though...)
Bad deeds don’t go unpunished. This music video is about exacting revenge against griefers. But do they get what’s coming to them? They’re not exactly known for playing fair…
This music video is a parody of Monster by Rihanna and Eminem stars Herobrine and his cohort. This time, it’s evil vs. evil as Herobrine fights all the kings of the mobs. Is this how evil incarnate came to be in Minecraft?
Wow this is an old one… Before the Minecraft video maker! It has a satisfying retro feel to it. Welcome back to 2011! This original pop song is about TNT and blowing things up. Simple enough? It’s also insanely catchy. CaptainSparklez makes good stuff.
This one is a parody of “Never Forget You” by Zara Larsson. The Animation is decent, but the music is the real star here. Lots of Minecraft references and the beats are sick. Spoilers: You never really figure out why the main character has a wooden arm.
Man, we could have a mini-list of just the best CaptainSparklez music videos because, let’s face it, the Captain is good at what he does. Maybe in the future.
As for this song, it’s an original song about revenge on creepers. What did they do? What didn’t they do? Blow up on you, blow up on your items, destroy a wall? Look at you wrong? Doesn’t matter!
This music video is about a plaid wearing, Hunger Games winning protagonist. A parody of Decisions by Bargore. By Hunger Games of course, he means the PvP Minecraft game. Is he going to win this one?
This music video is about… Minecraft. No no, it’s not that simple. You know when you start a world in Minecraft and Steve has no idea how he got there and there’s no background on the subject? This video is about what’s probably going through Steve’s mind. It’s also a parody of Coldplay’s “Paradise”
A parody of Sexy and I Know it from LMFAO. The music is funny, but the dance moves in the animations take the cake. Together, they make a pretty good music video.
A Minecraft parody of "Moves Like Jagger", this song is about the Nether and also serves as a step-by-step process on how to get there. At first they talk about how it’s nice in the Nether, but then they learn a very hard lesson.
What do you get when you mix a real gangsta rap with Minecraft? An avatar in a moose costume. Feeling real G, while listening to the silly words and watching the great animation. I love it. Plus he dabs. Best music video ever.
Okay, last CaptainSparklez video. This one is pretty old too, but it's too perfect not to include. A parody of "Gangnam Style," we could have left this one in 2013, but it's too perfect a hilarious parallel to the original. Plus the phrase "Hey Sexy Piggy" never gets old.
This music video is about two friend who sit down to watch the TV, on the news is Steve announcing the massive sales. What follows is a massive thank you all the different ways people play.
You know what? This list is pretty long. And it doesn’t even feel long winded, there’s just that much to say about Minecraft! Why don’t we stop and take a minute to thank everyone who plays/mods/animates in Minecraft? Because of everyone involved, Minecraft has been going strong for YEARS and shows absolutely no signs of slowing down. Here’s to Minecraft and thank you for reading our list on the best Minecraft Music Videos!
