How to Reach the Abandoned Refuge
To reach the Abandoned Refuge, go to the docks in Grymforge, just across from the waypoint. There, you’ll see Duergar slavers next to a dozen Gnome corpses (X:-609; Y:409). You can persuade them to back off to avoid hostilities, and this will let you enter the room right next to them.
Inside, there’s a button you can press after passing a hidden skill check. This moves the wall, revealing a hidden passageway. Continue up the steps, all while eliminating the enemies that spawn in this area.
Once you reach the top, you’ll be at the Abandoned Refuge. You’ll also see Philomeen at the back of the room. I advise you to keep a backup save for this part.

After a bit of back and forth, Philomeen will agree with your sentiments. She’ll then leave the Runepowder Vial item. Conversely, if you keep acting in a hostile manner, then she might just blow herself up, which will also cause damage to your team.
