Destiny 2: The Best Way to Get Sharp Flavor During The Dawning 2023

Getting Sharp Flavor during The Dawning 2023 is one of the easier tasks this year, and thank heavens for it.

Of the dozens of ingredients available during The Dawning 2023 in Destiny 2, Sharp Flavor might be one of the easiest to get your hands on. And while there are some best ways to do it, as long as you’re using the right equipment, you shouldn’t have to grind much.

How to Get Sharp Flavor During The Dawning 2023 in Destiny 2

To get Sharp Flavor, you need to defeat any enemy in the game with a Sword. That’s it. It doesn’t matter what rarity the sword is or how powerful the enemy is. If it falls to your blade, there’s a good chance you’ll get Sharp Flavor as a reward. In my experience, Sharp Flavor is also one of the most common weapon-specific ingredients out there. The trouble is having the Sword ammo and enemy density necessary to get the most bang for your buck.

How to Farm Sharp Flavor in Destiny 2

For me, the absolute best place to farm Sharp Flavor is the opening encounter of the Grasp of Avarice Dungeon. The enemies are plentiful, spawn infinitely, and are easy to defeat. You do need to own the 30th Anniversary Pack to access the Dungeon, but if you want the Gjallarhorn, a super fun endgame experience, and a selection of top-notch Legendary weapons, you’ll get them all.

If you haven’t purchased the 30th Anniversary content, the Altars of Sorrow on the Moon remain the best and easiest enemy farm in Destiny 2. Most of the foes you’ll face are low-level Thrall and Acolytes, and unless you let the timer run out or complete the objective, they’ll never stop spawning.

You can always run endless Vanguard Ops activities (ugh). You’ll not only have plenty of enemies to fight, but you can farm Essence of Dawning, Exotic Catalyst progress, and any other bounties or goals you might have.

The last bit of advice I can give is to equip the Heavy Ammo Finder mod in your Helmet. It’s not a foolproof way to get more ammo for your Sword, but depending on your luck, you might never need a refresh.

Hopefully, these tips will help you get as much Sharp Flavor during The Dawning 2023 as you could ever want. For more help with ingredients, see our guides on Balanced Flavors, Vex Milk, Ether Cane, and more about the game in general in our Destiny 2 guides hub.
