Diablo 4: Best Endgame Necromancer Builds Guide

Looking to play the best endgame Necromancer builds in Diablo 4? We've got them right here.

Necromancer is one of the strongest classes in Diablo 4. Rivaled by Sorcerer and Rogue for the spot as the best class, the Necro utilizes the corpses of your enemies to inflict damage. Whether you’re walking around with a cohort of skeletons or just a golem, you’ll know when a Necromancer is near. Here are the best Diablo 4 endgame Necromancer builds.

Best Necromancer Builds in Diablo 4

Both of the best endgame Necromancer builds in D4 revolve around utilizing Bone skills. Interestingly enough, neither of the included S-tier builds rely on minions or a golem to output damage, nor do they have them on the field. The two builds are:

  • Bone Spear Necromancer
  • Bone Spirit Necromancer

As you can imagine, the general builds for these are similar, with some slight differences in skills and Aspects. You can tweak these as you like to fit your playstyle, but I’d suggest sticking to one main strategy: increasing critical strike chance.

Diablo 4 Bone Spear Necromancer Build

As the name of this Diablo 4 endgame Necromancer build implies, Bone Spear Necromancer spams the core skill Bone Spear while using Corpse Tendrils to group enemies together. Once grouped, Corpse Explosion inflicts DoT, and Bone Spear can easily strike multiple enemies. I personally use the version of this build that has Bone Storm as an Ultimate instead of not employing an Ultimate at all, just in case I get surrounded by enemies and need some extra oomph to clear them.

Bone Spear Necro Skills

  • Base: Bone Splinters, Enhanced Bone Splinters.
  • Core: Bone Spear, Enhanced Bone Spear, Paranormal Bone Spear, Hewed Flesh, Unliving Energy, Imperfectly Balanced.
  • Corpse & Macabre: Corpse Explosion, Enhanced Corpse Explosion, Blighted Corpse Explosion, Grim Harvest, Skeletal Warrior Master, Blood Mist.
  • Summoning: Corpse Tendrils, Enhanced Corpse Tendrils, Blighted Corpse Tendrils, Serration, Compound Fracture, Evulsion, Necrotic Carapace.
  • Ultimate: Bone Storm, Enhanced Bone Storm, Supreme Bone Storm, Stand Alone, Memento Mori.
  • Capstone: Ossified Essence.

Diablo 4 Bone Spear Necro Legendary Aspects

There are a number of Aspects you can use to support this Necromancer build. I suggest the ones below until you can get some unique items to rank it up. The most important Aspects to ensure success are Aspect of Grasping Veins and Splintering Aspect.

  • Splintering Aspect
  • Aspect of the Umbral
  • Aspect of Exposed Flesh
  • Protecting Aspect
  • Aspect of Grasping Veins
  • Aspect of Serration
  • Accelerating Aspect
  • Wind Striker Aspect

Bone Spear Necro Book of the Dead

As a Necromancer, you have the ability to raise minions from corpses. After completing your class quest, Call of the Underworld, you’ll be able to summon a Golem, as well as melee and Mage Skeletons. With Bone Spear, if you have the room, you can keep your melee Skeletons or sacrifice them. If you keep them, make sure they’re Reaper Skeletons.

  • Keep Reaper Skeletons or sacrifice them for Skirmishers.
  • Sacrifice Cold Mage Skeletons.
  • Sacrifice Iron Golem.

Diablo 4 Bone Spirit Necromancer Build

Very similar to the Bone Spear Necromancer build, the other best endgame Necromancer build is Bone Spirit Necromancer. This one skips out on a Core skill and focuses on multiple Summoning skills instead. It also includes Darkness abilities, giving you a different flavor of Base attacks than Bone Spear.

Bone Spirit Necro Skills

  • Base: Reap, Enhanced Reap, Acolyte’s Reap.
  • Core: Hewed Flesh, Unliving Spirit.
  • Corpse & Macabre: Corpse Explosion, Enhanced Corpse Explosion, Blighted Corpse Explosion.
  • Summoning: Bone Spirit, Enhanced Bone Spirit, Dreadful Bone Spirit, Corpse Tendrils, Enhanced Corpse Tendrils, Plagued Corpse Tendrils, Reaper’s Pursuit, Crippling Darkness, Serration, Compound Fracture, Evulsion.
  • Ultimate: Bone Storm, Enhanced Bone Storm, Supreme Bone Storm, Stand Alone.
  • Capstone: Ossified Essence.

Bone Spirit Necro Legendary Aspects

  • Aspect of the Embalmer
  • Aspect of Grasping Veins
  • Aspect of Serration
  • Osseous Gale Aspect
  • Aspect of the Umbral

Bone Spirit Necro Book of the Dead

Unlike Bone Spear, where you can possibly fit in some minions, there’s no room for them here. However, there’s more flexibility in how you sacrifice your minions. This is great for those who want something a little closer to their playstyle.

  • Sacrifice Skirmishers or Defenders Skeletons.
  • Sacrifice Cold or Shadow Mage Skeletons.
  • Sacrifice Iron Golem.
