The Diablo 4 endgame activities consist of challenging objectives that will test your mettle. Still, with a lot of patience and time, you’ll be able to grind your way to success, with tons of loot to amass for a fine-tuned build. What Are the Post-game or Endgame Activities in Diablo 4

Given that we’re discussing Diablo 4 endgame activities, it’s worth noting that this guide will have minor spoilers. Likewise, bear in mind that you need to complete the story campaign to unlock some of these.

Whispers of the Dead

As soon as you finish the game’s epilogue, you’re notified regarding the Whispers of the Dead. Think of these as akin to bounties where you’ll complete tasks that increase your Grim Favors (i.e., points). Once you reach 10 Grim Favors, you can turn in the quest to select a container that’s filled with rewards.

Paragon Board

Generally speaking, the Paragon Board is an endgame activity, since it requires you to hit level 50. Past that point, all XP you earn will go toward the Paragon system. Think of this as a board with several nodes, and each one increases the main stats, sub-stats, and various facets of your character. There are also Paragon Glyphs that you can level up (more on these in a while).

World Tier 3: Nightmare and Cathedral of Light Capstone Dungeon

Completing the Diablo 4 campaign allows you to tackle the Cathedral of Light Capstone Dungeon. In it, you’ll face some of Inarius’ cultists, followed by a Curator that uses deadly magic.

Clearing this Capstone Dungeon unlocks World Tier 3: Nightmare, which leads to more activities. You can learn about the objectives and boss fights in our Cathedral of Light guide.

Nightmare Dungeons

Once you switch to World Tier 3: Nightmare, there’s a chance that Nightmare Sigils will drop. When used, you can turn a regular dungeon into a Nightmare version. It’s still the same location, just that there are additional modifiers and challenges. Naturally, there are better rewards, too.

At the end of a Nightmare Dungeon, you’ll be able to level up your Paragon Glyph to make use of its boosts.

Helltide Events

Helltide Events occur at set intervals, roughly every other hour, and they also last a full hour. The goal is to head to a region where this is happening, and defeat as many hostiles as you can. Doing so nets you a currency called Aberrant Cinder, which is used to open chests of a particular item slot / type.

You need to arrive early, though, because all Aberrant Cinders will be lost once a Helltide Event ends.

Player Versus Player: PvP

I personally consider PvP in as a Diablo 4 endgame activity. While I was able to unlock the mechanic while exploring during the campaign, there are numerous facets to consider when I was thinking about my build.

At lower levels and terrible gear, you probably won’t focus on this activity as much. Later, though, once you’ve obtained some high-end loot, you can fine-tune your build and equipment when fighting other players. You can learn more in our PvP and Seeds of Hatred guide.

World Bosses

And, of course, there are World Bosses to consider. These hulking behemoths appear at random intervals, often in large, circular arenas in various regions. 30 minutes before they spawn, you’ll see a marker pop up on your map.

Once they appear, you and all the players in the area have only 15 minutes to take them out. One particular world boss that I’ve downed a few times is Ashava the Pestilent. You can learn more in our Ashava world boss guide.

And that’s it. These are the Diablo 4 endgame activities that you can partake in. Bear in mind that this is a live service game, which means there are also seasons and expansions to look forward to in the coming weeks and months. We’re definitely going to spend a lot of time in Sanctuary. In any case, for more gameplay mechanics and quests, our Diablo 4 tips hub has you covered.
