Biteberry is needed when crafting potions and elixirs in Diablo 4.

Biteberry is a harvestable plant in Diablo 4 used in crafting various incenses and elixirs. If you’re looking to stock up on the ingredient, this is how to farm Biteberry in D4.

How to Farm Biteberry in Diablo 4

There are four main ways to get Biteberry in D4:

  • Farm for it.
  • Get it from Herb Caches.
  • Tree of Whispers Caches.
  • Exchange for it at an Alchemist.

There’s always a chance you’ll obtain it when opening any herb or Tree of Whispers caches. If you haven’t unlocked the Tree of Whispers yet, and find herb caches don’t provide enough, you can exchange Gallowvine for it at an Alchemist. The easiest and least expensive way to get loads of Biteberry is to simply harvest it yourself.

Biteberry Farming Location

Biteberry is only found in the Fractured Peaks region. It mostly grows along the edges of the map, near cliffsides, or other clusters of objects. It’s not a rare resource, so you should be able to fulfill a variety of crafting needs by going around the map once. I like to stock up by server hopping a few times.

Along with picking the plants in Fractured Peaks, completing local World Events have the potential to reward Biteberry. You want to try for the best rewards possible, aiming to complete the optional object for each event. This will increase your chances of getting components from the chest.

Uses for Biteberry

Biteberry is used to upgrade your healing potion. While it’s not used in all upgrades, there are a few that require it.

  • Minor Healing Potion — Level 20 unlock.
  • Light Healing Potion — Level 30 unlock.
  • Major Healing Potion — Level 80 unlock.

Along with the potion upgrades, it’s used when making elixirs:

  • Elixir of Beast Slaying
  • Elixir of Cold Resistance
  • Elixir of Magic Resist
  • Heady Elixir of Cold Resistance
  • Heady Iron Barb Elixir
  • Iron Barb Elixir
  • Potent Elixir of Cold Resistance
  • Potent Iron Barb Elixir
  • Strong Elixir of Cold Resistance
  • Strong Iron Barb Elixir
  • Weak Elixir of Cold Resistance
  • Weak Iron Barb Elixir

The last craftable consumable that needs Biteberry is Incense:

  • Blessed Guide
  • Desert Escape
  • Song of the Mountain
  • Spiral Morning
  • Storm of the Wilds

That’s how to find Biteberry and how to farm for it in Diablo 4. A resource available from the beginning of the main story, you’ll find it growing throughout the Fractured Peaks. For more item locations, how to craft Incense, or how to complete various quests, check out our guide vault.
