Fae Farm: How to Upgrade Tools

Fae Farm is a farming RPG, so it’s only natural that you’ll have a variety of tools to keep your Homestead up and running. However, you’ll want to upgrade your tools to make the grind of farmer life easier and more efficient, and gain access to the magical tool abilities. Here’s how to upgrade tools in Fae Farm.

How to Upgrade Tools in Fae Farm

You’ll begin your adventure in Azoria with five farming tools: an Axe, Pickaxe, Scythe, Shovel, and Watering Can. Each tool has its own requirements to upgrade throughout its upgrade tree, however, every tool will gain access to a magical ability once you reach the Iron upgrade tier. I couldn’t wait to discover the magic ahead of me in Fae Farm, and it’s definitely worth it for tool upgrades. You can only upgrade farming tools by visiting Cinder at the Docks. Here are all of the upgrade ingredients for each tool’s tiers.

Axe Upgrades

• Basic: N/A
  • Ability: Cuts down Beech trees and logs.
• Copper: 1 Copper Ingot, 100 Florins
  • Ability: Cuts down Oak trees and logs.
• Iron: 2 Iron Ingots , 500 Florins
  • Ability: Strengthens axe, can be flung a short distance to cut multiple by spending Mana.
• Feyrite: 3 Feyrite Ingot, 1500 Florins
  • Ability: Strengthens axe.
• Silver: 4 Silver Ingot, 2500 Florins
  • Ability: Strengthens axe, can be flung a medium distance to cut multiple by spending Mana
• Orichalcum: 5 Orichalcum Ingot, 3,500 Florins
  • Ability: Strengthens axe.
• Gold: 5 Gold Ingot, 5,000 Florins
  • Ability: Strengthens axe, can be flung a long distance to cut multiple trees by spending Mana.

Pickaxe Upgrades

• Basic: N/A
  • Ability: Breaks rocks, and copper ore.
• Copper: 1 Copper Ingot, 100 Florins
  • Ability: Strengthens pickaxe and breaks iron ore.
• Iron: 2 Iron Ingots , 500 Florins
  • Ability: Strengthens pickaxe, and breaks a 3×3 area by spending mana.
• Feyrite: 3 Feyrite Ingot, 1500 Florins
  • Ability: Strengthens axe, breaks silver ore.
• Silver: 4 Siler Ingot, 2500 Florins
  • Ability: Strengthens axe, breaks orichalcum ore, and breaks a 5×5 area by spending mana.
• Orichalcum: 5 Orichalcum Ingot, 3,500 Florins
  • Ability: Strengthens axe and breaks gold ore.
• Gold: 5 Gold Ingot, 5,000 Florins
  • Ability: Strengthens axe to break all potential ore, and breaks a 7×7 area by spending mana.

Scythe Upgrades

  • Ability: Harvests grass.
• Copper: 1 Copper Ingot, 100 Florins
  • Ability: Strengthens Scythe.
• Iron: 2 Iron Ingots , 500 Florins
  • Ability: Strengthens Scythe, cuts a 3×3 area by spending Mana.
• Feyrite: 3 Feyrite Ingot, 1500 Florins
  • Ability: Strengthens Scythe.
• Silver: 4 Siler Ingot, 2500 Florins
  • Ability: Ability to move while cutting by spending Mana.

How to Upgrade the Critter Net and Fishing Rod in Fae Farm

Upgrading the Critter Net and Fishing Rod requires you to visit the NPCs that gave you them in the first place. So, to upgrade the Critter Net you’ll visit Mel in West Town, and to upgrade the Fishing Rod you’ll visit Eddy at Stay-A-While Bay. Here are the details for the net and rod upgrades.

  • Prerequisite: Critter Catching Level 3, basic Critter Net
  • Ability: Catches fae critters
• Advanced Critter Net

  • Ability: Can catch mountain critters
• Master Critter Net
  • Cost: 5,000 Florins
  • Prerequisite: Critter Catching Level 7, Advanced Critter Net

Fishing Rod Upgrades
