Genshin Impact’s The Stringless bow is one of the best weapons you can outfit your archers with. Obtaining it isn’t quite so easy, though, and if you’re playing Genshin Impact‘s 1.4 update, there is another, more Primogem-friendly option.
Our Genshin Impact Stringless guide has everything you need to know about one of the game’s best bows and when you should try to aim for it.
How to Get The Stringless
Unlike some weapons, The Stringless is only available as a random pull through Genshin Impact’s gacha system. The Stringless isn’t part of the Epitome Invocation in the 1.4 update, so for now, you’ll need to spend Acquaint Fates in the Wanderlust Invocation, the general gacha banner.
It means drop rates are slightly lower, but still at 5%.
Since The Stringless is a four-star weapon, your chances of getting it go up just a bit thanks to the Genshin Impact pity system. You’re guaranteed a four-star weapon or character after 10 pulls of not getting one, though of course, it doesn’t mean you’ll actually get The Stringless.
The Stringless Stats, Secondary, and Passives
The Stringless has a base attack of 42, making it one of the stronger four-star bows and just slightly weaker than the game’s five-star bows.
- Level 20 — 109
- Level 30 — 170
- Level 40 — 205
- Level 50 — 266
- Level 60 — 327
- Level 70 — 388
- Level 80 — 449
- Level 90 — 510
Arrowless Song, The Stringless’ passive ability strengthened through refinement, increases Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst damage by 24% at level one and 48% at level five.
That combined with The Stringless’ fantastic Elemental Mastery stat makes it a powerful force in the right hands, turning already-strong DPS characters into potent Elemental Reaction supporters.
- Level 1 — 36
- Level 20 — 64
- Level 30 — 78
- Level 40 —93
- Level 50 — 107
- Level 60 — 122
- Level 70 — 136
- Level 80 — 151
- Level 90 — 165
Venti is the obvious choice for The Stringless, but it can give any bow-wielder with offensive Elemental abilities a significant boost, whether it’s one of the best characters or even Amber.
The Stringless Ascension Materials
The Stringless Ascension materials are almost identical to The Alley Flash’s. It uses items in the Decarabia series, which come from the Cecilia Garden Domain on Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays.
You’ll also need Horn items from Mitachurls, the big Hilichurls with shields and dash attacks, Arrowhead items dropped by any of the Hilichurl Shooters, including the elemental archers.
As always with Genshin’s Ascension materials, the higher ranks of each item come from higher level Domains and enemies of the same type.

Is The Stringless Worth It?
The Stringless is a great bow, but whether it’s worth the Fates depends on your goals. If you’re reading this during Genshin’s 1.4 update, you can obtain The Windblume Ode by taking part in the Windblume Festival. The Windblume Ode doesn’t have the same Elemental potency in its passive, but it does have stronger attack and a useful passive ability.
If you’re saving Primogems for a banner character, it’s worth just getting the free bow instead. If not, it’s definitely worth trying to get The Stringless.
That’s everything you need to know about The Stringless, but be sure to check out our other Genshin Impact guides for more tips.
