Genshin Impact Alley Flash: Stats, Elemental Mastery, and Ascension

The Alley Flash is one of Genshin Impact's new weapons. Here's everything you need to know about it.

The Alley Flash is part of the Genshin Impact 1.4 update, the headline item in the new Alley weapon series. It’s a versatile four-star sword with a secondary stat geared towards support, though it’s still capable of dealing significant physical damage.

This Geshin Impact Alley Flash guide has everything you need to know about the new weapon and whether it’s worth your Fates.

How to Get the Alley Flash

Alley Flash is part of a new Epitome Invocation that will be going live during Genshin’s 1.4 update. Genshin’s gacha system is the only way to obtain Alley Flash, but since it’s a four-star weapon, your chances of getting it are higher than some others.

The game’s pity system guarantees one four-star weapon or character (weapon always, if it’s the Epitome Invocation) for every 10 pulls where you don’t obtain a four-star weapon or character. During the Epitome Invocation, Alley Flash’s drop chances are also higher than usual for four-star weapons.

Alley Flash Stats, Secondary, and Passives

Alley Flash has a base attack of 45. While it’s naturally not as impressive as its five-star counterparts, Alley Flash’s stats are higher than other four-star swords

  • Level 20 — 134
  • Level 30 — 210
  • Level 40 — 261
  • Level 50 — 340
  • Level 60 — 419
  • Level 70 — 499
  • Level 80 — 579
  • Level 90 — 660

It also has the Itinerant Hero passive ability, which increases attack by 28% for six seconds if you sprint for one second or longer. The bonus doesn’t stack, however.

Alley Flash’s secondary stat, Elemental Mastery, is what makes it more useful, though. Elemental Mastery increases damage from Elemental Reactions, making it ideal for support characters setting up or pulling off Reactions. (If you need a nudge in the right direction for which character might be ideal for you, our best characters list is here to help.)

  • Level 1 — 12
  • Level 20 — 21
  • Level 40 — 31
  • Level 50 — 36
  • Level 60 — 41
  • Level 70 — 45
  • Level 80 — 50
  • Level 90 — 55

Finally is Alley Flash’s special ability obtained only through refining the weapon. Refining Alley Flash increases physical damage by a set amount — 12% at level one, 24% at level five — though taking damage disables this buff for five seconds.

Alley Flash Ascension

You’ll be visiting the Garden of Cecilia a lot and taking down Hilichurl-type enemies for Alley Flash’s Ascension materials. It uses Decarabian-series items, Heavy Horn-series items, and Divining Scroll-series items for Ascension.

Tile of Decarabian’s Tower comes from the Garden of Cecilia Domain west of Mondstadt on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays. The higher-ranking items in the series have a drop chance on the same days, but only at the Domain’s higher levels.

Mitachurls, the big, charging Hilichurl-type enemies, drop Heavy Horns, Black Bronze Horns, and Black Crystal Horns, while the magic-wielding Samachurls drop Divining Scrolls, Sealed Scrolls, and Forbidden Curse Scrolls.

Here’s everything you’ll need for Alley Flash’s Ascension.

First Ascension

  • 3 Tile of Decarabian’s Tower
  • 3 Heavy Horn
  • 2 Divining Scroll
  • 5,000 Mora

Second Ascension

  • 3 Debris of Decarabian’s City
  • 12 Heavy Horn
  • 8 Divining Scroll
  • 15,000 Mora

Third Ascension

  • 6 Debris of Decarabian’s City
  • 6 Black Bronze Horn
  • 6 Sealed Scroll
  • 20,000 Mora

Fourth Ascension

  • 3 Fragment of Decarabian’s Epic
  • 12 Black Bronze Horn
  • 9 Sealed Scroll
  • 30,000 Mora

Fifth Ascension

  • 6 Fragment of Decarabian’s Epic
  • 9 Black Crystal Horn
  • 6 Forbidden Curse Scroll
  • 35,000 Mora

Sixth Ascension

  • 4 Piece of Decarabian’s Dream
  • 18 Black Crystal Horn
  • 12 Forbidden Curse Scroll
  • 45,000 Mora

Is Alley Flash Worth It?

It depends.

Rosaria and a second chance of obtaining Venti are Genshin 1.4’s main attractions, and you can obtain Elemental Mastery bonuses through certain Artifacts. Unless you have an abundance of Intertwined Fates, you may be better off saving them for 1.4’s character banners instead.

If Venti, Tartaglia (Childe), and Rosaria are of no interest, though, you could certainly do worse than Alley Flash. It’s a strong sword, and stacking its Elemental Mastery bonus with the buff from Artifacts would make for a potent combination.
